Everyone needs a neighbor like your friend Ryan in their life. And here in Mississippi, we are blessed to have many “Ryan’s” and many opportunities to be “Ryan’s” ourselves!
When pulling barb wire tight if you can be on the opposite side of the post as the wire is the safest place in case it breaks especially with used wire
Helping one another is what it is all about. Frankie sure is growing up fast. Thought it was a grown women at first. She will be a great catch some day. She is beautiful like her momma and dad has taught her how to survive on the land. She is a worker and you guys should be proud parents
Your video takes me back to when I used to do fencing with my Daddy. Great memories. It takes a great neighbor to help you untangle barbed wire. Most people would run from that chore-GiGi
My wife and I raised Muscovy ducks for a few years. We had a big male named Fred. He could just run a bit and fly out of sight fly down to our pond and spend the day with the wild ducks . Then usually walk home. We tried to keep the hens clipped so we didn't end up with 50 babies. In the winter if they were out when I plowed the snow they would take off flying circle around and land back home . Kinda cool they are .
When the horse comes, walk the perimeter of the area with her so she can see the fence. Horses have been known to take off running and not see a fence. I had a friend years ago that had to put 1 down from the damage it caused when her horse ran through a wire fence. Once she knows the perimeter, it's a lot less likely to happen. Help with fencing is always great! Especially when they know what they're doing. Day by day, getting closer! 🐎
LOL the Ducks were going, just keep switching with the first that are clipped. Great escape plan 🤣🤣 And Mike, is the reason that type of wire comes on spools 😉 Been there done that. So know you two's pain on untangling. 🥵🤕Mustard is good enough for me with them Biscuits, UmmmHummm ☠☠
Look up the name orange crisp it's a orange seedless watermelon it will be a niche market to investigate its the sweetest melon with alot of crunch texture will quickly become your favorite I've been growing them for a out 10 years now 😋 nobody around me grows them
That’s a good neighbor you have there helping you fix your fence. Good work. You guys sure made me hungry for watermelon so we had to dig one out that we had and eat some. Lol. Cool video. 👍❤️
love the channel you guys are killin it, just a tip a spooked horse will run right through a barbed wire fence and its not pretty, worked a horse ranch in Montana!
Eddy family farm introduced me to yall. And I'm from Shannon Mississippi!! I know where Houston is got Kinfolk there the Criddles and Hodnetts. Loved watching ur video. ❤️
I don’t know if this would help with your fencing or just confuse you At the straining post go around the post twice ( this helps stop the post from splitting) then go under the main wire, then bend the wire up ,back towards the last wrap and through between the post and your last wrap then go under the last wrap and bend it over the main line and wrap on like normal ,this knot is the standard for strainers in Aus the wire will break before the knot gives or the strainer pulls out Probably not necessary on short strains but is really good for long strains Sorry I can’t explain it better , your probably in a head spin just reading what I wrote Enjoying your adventures Cheers from Aus
Howdy y'all, I just came across y'alls channel and watched this video. I was fixin to watch the one before this one cause it looks like y'all got a visit from the Eddy Family Farm. I been following them for quite a while. I grew up in Hattiesburg which I figure must be due south from where y'all are. I love any kinda country videos farming hunting gardening ranching homesteading like that. So I subscribed and will check out y'alls other videos. I been living in Minnesota for a long time but I sure do love watching videos from home. Glad to find your channel God bless y'all be safe there!
👋 ❤ I missed ya. Was admitted to VA hospitals for surgeries. Recovery -home for 10 days before more surgery. Always enjoy your videos. God bless Syd, Mike, Frankie, & America 🇺🇸. Enjoy your horse, Frankie. Wish we still had our mule. Cheaper than gasoline. 😉
We've been doing muscovy for 4 years now and the males don't fly much at all the girls are very flighty. We had a massive explosion of numbers this year and will be butchering maybe around 100 this fall. We went from almost having no females the first two seasons due to great horned owls to being overrun by muscovy. They taste like roast beef if you've never had them before.
I’ve raised them for years ! Yes, they are yummy dark red meat . The boys first year , before they get big , I find them to be a bit flighty but usually after their first breeding season , everyone settles down .
Talk about make life difficult. Use a wire strainer!!! Safer and alot more control. My fencing history is not great but watching you guys scares me. If I was in the States I would come and do it for you!!
You don’t see neighbors helping neighbors like that to much anymore. All my very best neighbors are all gone now and now if you ask someone to come help you they won’t to be paid a lot of money. When I was coming up everyone helped each other. I don’t care what type of help it. Was you where there to help them even if it was killing a cow , hog or what ever it was
🤦♂️got a lot of patience to salvage that old barbed wire from that spider web maze …😂…lesson well learned one strand at a time , roll and save always . On a farm always got a rolled pile patch fence wire stored somewhere for when that one tree decides to take fence out . Best of luck. Slow and steady.
I don't know if you heard of Oliver Anthony he just cancelled a concert because they wanted to charge to much for tickets he is looking for a place to play so if you know a place place reach out to him he is very humble
I do NOT suggest using barbed wire with horses. They do not combine. Too many horses run through it and get tangled in it. Then they get scared and start fighting and tear themselves all up. I've had horses since I was 10 years old and my dad learned the hard way.
I understand that kind of accident can happen , but this is a large ( several acre) area. Everyone here that has kept horses their whole lives uses barbed wire in large pastures. She will be walked and shown the whole perimeter when she arrives too.
Everyone needs a neighbor like your friend Ryan in their life. And here in Mississippi, we are blessed to have many “Ryan’s” and many opportunities to be “Ryan’s” ourselves!
💯!
HELLO 🤗 nice one step closer to getting Frankie's horse 🐎 the watermelon looks so delish🍉 😋 have a great night 🙏🇺🇲😊
I'm sure a beautiful women had nothing to do with it
When I saw that Barb wire I never thought it would’ve untangled. Now that takes patience. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
The dog dinner joke was awesome!
You guys are so fortunate to have a neighbor like Ryan. He's a wealth of experience, learned the old fashion way.
Sunday Blessings Y’all ❤❤love your Braids Frankie ❤🎉🎉🎉

Fantastic idea Marie ! We will definitely do that ! Thank you 🙏
Mike, Tractor Supply has a special tool to wrap those ties with. It’s very reasonable and saves a lot of time!
Teamwork makes the dream work! I bet Frankie is getting excited to get her horse! ❤🎉

She has several acres to roam so I don’t see her bolting through the fence when she has lots of places to go .
@@3MISSISSIPPI that's good, they cant see the wire so we would put orange tape along the tree lines like streamers for in the dark looking good!
Good work out there guys! Can’t edit until it’s done.
Ryan is an amazing guy, glad he could help out!❤
He’s a great friend ❤️
I like amazing better!

Barbed wire and tee posts are not a safe fence for a horse. Bad things can happen....
This is a very large pasture … not a small pen so I don’t think it will be an issue . Everyone keeps there horses like that down here.
Frankie's mom has nice ink
Eddy family farm sent me enjoy your channel!
Thank you so much for checking is out 😀
Looks like the repairs could be never ending… Some days I think I could stay in my yard everyday and never be done!
Is t that the truth ! Always something that needs tending to !
A brush hook. Not a sling blade.

The tractor would be better for stretching the fence.
They were shorter stretches on that side for the longer stretches we used Kenny 😜
