It is my understanding that the moroccan oil cannot penetrate the hair follicles because of the significant amount of silicone in their shampoo. The silicone surrounds the follicles and over time can damage your hair. Is it also true the oil actually comes from Israel and not Morocco. Im not trying to cause an issue with the shampoo. I just want to know that this shampoo is safe over time. There are a significant amnumber of reviews where users hair was significantly damaged or has fallen out.
My hair has never looked better than with MorrocanOil products. As of 9/2024, the body lotion, dry oil and spray perfume have been introduced. I have never received more complements on my fragrance in my life!
The Treatment Oil helps dry your hair faster because it pushes the water out of your hair so it can absorb the oils fatty acids to nourish and smooth your hair.
My hairdresser recommended the restorative mask it works amazing . I was wondering does the moisturize repair shampoo dry out your hair ? I Saw a lot of people say that it dries out there hair . Hi Monique, I have been using moisture repair for years and it has it has never dried out my hair. I love Olaplex to! If you’re worried about it, perhaps purchase it from Sephora or somewhere that you can return it if it doesn’t work for you. Thanks so much for watching!
It depends on your hair type. Repair lines have protein and if you’re protein sensitive or overuse it, it can cause dryness. Also if your roots get oily fast any “moisture” shampoo will make it feel oily. I alternate between a hydrating and strengthening line based on my hair needs and use a clarifying shampoo to remove buildup.
Thanks for the informative video!! I saw online that the moisture repair shampoo/conditioner is for 'damaged hair caused by color, chemical processing, or heat styling' but I dont do any of those. Do you think i should use the moisture repair or hydrating shampoo/conditioner in this case? my hair is fine and dryish. Thank youo for your help:)
Holy grail hair products for my dry , fine, curly hair: the oil, moisture shampoo/conditioner, and the curl defining cream (both for air drying my curls and surprisingly for blow drying and straightening). I also like the luminous hairspray.

Love Morrocan Oil! The scent is to die for, I use all their body line products but I wish they would come out with a matching perfume. I heard Prada Candy Kiss was an identical match so I'll have to try it soon!
I have fine wispy flyaway hair and wondered if these products help it grow ?. I have tried argan oil in other products it tends to be a bit heavy for my lightweight hair. Finding a shampoo and conditioner not too heavy and rich can make it greasy straight away . What would you recommend ? I don't want to waste money on the wrong product. These are quite expensive.
Hi Chris, I find that the Moisture Repair really helps with the health of my hair. I love the Halo Beauty Hair Skin & Nails Booster Vitamins. I did a video about that. I bought them for my nails (which got amazingly better) and my hair grew like crazy. Totally unexpected hair bonus - I never thought it would work. For a lighter weight shampoo and conditioner I love the Oribe Gold Lust shampoo and conditioner. Again pricier, but it is at Sephora now and they often have the 10 - 20% off VIB sales. If you are not already a VIB member - it is free to join. In addition to the Oribe Gold Lust, I really like the R&Co Television Perfect Hair shampoo and conditioner. Again not the cheapest but I get such great fullness with the Oribe and the R& Co. I'll try to post on my community page if I ever see deals on either of those. I wish I could recommend something less expensive but I find these work the best. Oh, wait - Ren Pur is at Target. I've used a few of theirs before with good results (not as good as the other three brands but very good shampoo) and they are around $8 if you don't like them you can return or not lose a lot of money. I hope this helps! :)
I just bought the mini versions of the Moisture Repair shampoo and conditioner and the oil, now I’m just waiting for them to arrive. I’ve tried the Intense Hydrating Mask, but it didn’t do much for me. I do love the scent, though!
As a guy, i use the conditioner for my hair i have fine coarse hair and not long ago switched from 2 in 1s after finding out how bad they're (and seeing how dry my hair was) this helps keep it soft and clean but doesn't strip all the oils out that my hair needs. I've recently picked up hydration styling cream for day use to keep it nice and clean
maroccanoil hydration shampoo is a terrible shampoo. It is very glue like & it’s very hard to wash it out. It made my skin itchy & even after 3 washes it stayed oily

Hi Snigdha, A friend of mine had that same problem and she used the Moisture Repair shampoo and conditioner along with the Restorative mask and had excellent results. I’d recommend using a heat protectant before you use heat, I really like the perfect defense by Moroccanoil or the one that Olaplex has. Thanks for watching! 🌸
Hi Irina, I do have the volume shampoo and conditioner but I don’t find myself reaching for it. I don’t find that it really adds much more volume to my hair. For volume I finds that the R&Co Television shampoo and conditioner does a fantastic job. I have a video about that line also if you want to check it out. 😃

Hi Julia, I'm so glad you enjoyed the review. The hair sprays hold your hair and give you more of a crisp look that takes away flyaways and lightly glues your hair into place. The dry texture spray adds texture to your hair giving more of an undone look and gives your hair some grit. My hair is so straight and slippery, a bit of texture spray makes my curls from a curling wand hold longer if I put some in my hair before I curl it. I hope that helps! Have a great Thanksgiving!

Yes I have the same experience. After hydrating shampoo ma hair is like straw. Not good. But tried hydrating intense mask and light oil treatment and both are fantastic

I’m being using de moroccanoil and it’s been helpful, I recently ordered the big one and the perfume mist cos I really like the smell and supposedly protects from the sun ☀️ so sounded good. I’m also with the pillow cover satin thing. I’m trying the Davines masks, and I can say they are good but after want to try a Moroccanoil. The leave in I’m using is the color fanatic of pusology and also I think is being a good choice, I have seen little changes for better and recently just bought collagen peptides hoping they help to my hair 🤞🏻 Greetings to all ! Favorites: the medium hairspray, the curl moisturizer, the hair oil. Omg. I wanted to try the shampoo and conditioner but I decided not to. I'm trying the bar soap for first time and a body butter. I tried a sample of a body butter but I wasn't fond of the scent. But, I loved the feeling of non greasy formula.

@@TheNicoleSanchez I've tried it now as I have shoulder length wavy hair. It works well for that GOT John Snow look. You only need tiny bit though, add to hair when wet. Let hair air dry for best results.

Hi! Since I do not have curly hair, I don't have personal experience with the curl products, however my son has extremely curly hair and when he had long hair, if he used anything other than the MO products his hair looked frizzy and would not behave. I had him using the Curl Enhancing line as well as Moisture Repair. I hope that helps.
Can you give a little more guidance on the regular vs. light Moroccan Oil? I have fairly fine hair that's turning wavy and drier after having kids. After having bone straight hair my whole life, I'm looking for ways to make my relatively new waves look good when I air dry. Also, have you tried their smoothing shampoo and conditioner?
If you have thin dry hair I’d say go with the light Moroccan oil because that’s what I use and it works pretty good. Also the smoothing shampoo and conditioner helped great. My hair gets very frizzy and full of flyaways after washing it but once I started using the it, it wasn’t as bad

They have a mist but it doesn’t smell like the hair oil it smells like soap. Nasty.

What about the curl products?
Hi! Since I do not have curly hair, I don't have personal experience with the curl products, however my son has extremely curly hair and when he had long hair, if he used anything other than the MO products his hair looked frizzy and would not behave. I had him using the Curl Enhancing line as well as Moisture Repair. I hope that helps.

Can you give a little more guidance on the regular vs. light Moroccan Oil? I have fairly fine hair that's turning wavy and drier after having kids. After having bone straight hair my whole life, I'm looking for ways to make my relatively new waves look good when I air dry.
Also, have you tried their smoothing shampoo and conditioner?
If you have thin dry hair I’d say go with the light Moroccan oil because that’s what I use and it works pretty good. Also the smoothing shampoo and conditioner helped great. My hair gets very frizzy and full of flyaways after washing it but once I started using the it, it wasn’t as bad
