I want to thank you for posting your forms. I have been using them to learn my forms as I advance in my training. I find it very beneficial to see the form broken down at a slower pace, with the move and stances listed, and then seeing it again at a regular tempo. I also enjoy seeing the snippet of background information at the beginning of each video. It's nice to know where the form stems from. Thank you again for everything!
Only In America u wave brown belt in tkd in all other world we have White, white-yellow, yellow, yellow-green, green, green-blue, blue, blue-red, red, red-black, black
Actually the brown belt is common for a lot of martial arts. It all depends on the organization and how they break down the levels between white and black belt.
@@ConcordTKD OK but every belt have its meaning Im following tkd ITF the authentic one and first time I see brown belt in tkd, Choi Hong Hi made tkd ITF and said what every belt mean for the fighter, my teacher met him imperson when he was teenager and try to teach us the most pure type of tkd ITF but he never told us about brown belt. Every martial art have rules and I think it's bad to break them and make a hybrid that called with the same name my opinion is to follow the rules without change the typical thing, and your stance is more like karate than taekwon do check out European tul style
Yes, I've heard many practitioners being proud of their particular style, citing how "authentic" it is. And that's fine. The 1990's were fife with so many people claiming their style was better than another, or their style was closer to a certain master's style. After a while, you'll see where many styles have similar techniques to another and where some have small modifications of a technique here and there. That's not to say one is better than the other. It is a natural progression for a martial art to evolve over time based on the focus of the instructors and how they teach.
There are a few organizations and styles that branched off from ITF. Even the ITF made changes within its own curriculum when it added the "sine wave" philosophy to its movements. The ITF beget the ATA, who in turn beget more organizations. Each with their own focus. All of them try to teach the best they can. The quality of the student comes from the quality of the instructor.
I dont have a problem with the form itself, but I do have a problem with how low your punches are. Like, dont you think it would be better for you to punch at eye level?
That would be fine if your school does not discriminate between targets, nose vs solar plexus. Traditionally, the punches in Hwa-Rang are targeting the solar plexus for most organizations that follow these forms.
Keep in mind, different Taekwondo organizations will have varying belt color orders. When searching online for which pattern to watch, look for the name of the form that you are performing, not the belt color.
Maybe this will help, at our studio, this form is for red belt not brown. I think the forms are switched. Maybe try looking up red belt form and see what comes up.
@Kate - We recommend students refer to the NAME of the form versus the COLOR of the belt as every organization may vary the order of the belts and which belt performs which form.
