They just felt bad for the girl they had been working with over the last day or two so they decided to stick it to him. He really didn't do anything wrong.
I thought so, too. I went through the same thing with my parents. Even after I got married and moved to another city, they continued to try and control my life.
I felt they were way too harsh on Graham when he was being honest. He is financially dependent on his parents meaning he likely does not have the freedom to do anything he wants to do. Very respectful to his parents who obviously are still taking care of him.

Graham seems like a normal, down to earth young adult -- and I think Max was too tough on him. When you're that age and talking to women online, there's always going to be flirtation; I see nothing wrong with playing the field a bit when simply talking. She stalked him and made the mistake of assuming that he wanted a more serious relationship. He likely saw her insecurities, awkwardness and obsessiveness in person and got turned off.
💯🏆 Her facial expressions made her look possessed. I didn't like her at all. Girls like her make females look bad because we are seen as childish and overly needy. She is a stereotypical "girly" type, but he's expected to be an independent man about town at 18. I think this was largely the girl's fault for taking an online relationship too seriously. the reveal that he was the actual guy she thought he was but didn't really care about her was pretty much the best case scenario given the facts of the case. she was very disappointed by the near-best-case, so she didn't have realistic expectations at all.
Nev wasn’t very understanding when the kid said he listens to what his family tells him to do. Maybe Nev was lucky enough to have parents that backed off once he was 18 but not everyone has that. Parents can be super controlling especially at 18 that’s still really young.

Why do people fall in love with photographs? It's a re-occurring problem we see on catfish. Secondly, how do people have time to be on the phone for hours, for years stringing strangers along? I think what bothers me about max and Nev is that one they go really hard on the ones that aren’t catfish...especially when they are young and still leaving with their parents. Two they seem to try to pressure people to come out(as gay, lesbian, ect.) which is extremely hard to watch. Three they always seem to feel bad for most of the catfishes as soon as they hear a “sad” story. Unfortunately they show isn’t as sincere just more on the lines of being “in your face and give me the details while cameras are in your face” type of show. Both Nev and Max need training on how to deal with different situations because they clearly do not know how to.
