You gotta absolutely love the front grille on the 36,37.. these straight lines are way more sexy ! Heck yeah man, leave the patina job as-is . Its in remarkably good condition ! 👍👍
I love it. Been looking for a 30’s ford coupe forever. Found several but was never able to get the owners to part with them and they weren’t in this good of shape anyway. So it worked out well
I think the coolest thing you said was that you didn’t check to see if the engine turned over and you don’t care. It drives me nuts when I see potential buyers on sites like BaT crying and moaning and worrying about every potential little issue on an old car. You, sir, clearly have the stones, enthusiasm, and great attitude to bring a cool car back from a long slumber! 🤘🏽
That's a nice car. Wet sand and clear coat. New windows and upholstery. Rewire and engine and drivetrain work. A nice summer project. Gives us more videos.
Shit I’m glad I scrolled through the Cummins cause I was about to feel like a dumbass and ask what year Ford is it I know it’s late 30s but I couldn’t quite tell
@@rockysramblings well, incredible find. It’s always nice seeing old cars getting another chance on the road. My old man and I recently picked up a mercury eight and a Ford Deluxe -hopefully they will see the road before summer is over. Trying to keep the mercury all original best we can.
Just the fact that you turned it into a roller with the addition of wheels and tires. It already looks like a masterpiece! Making it stop and go, could be a little more difficult, but it will definitely be a nice piece when you're done.
The ‘37 will make a great project. Nice to hear your intent to keep it original including the flathead engine. I did notice that the original headlights have been replaced with the ‘40 style which was a common modification on pre 1940 Fords. If you can source a set of original headlights, you will find that it really flows better with the design of the car.
Welcome To The Club!!! I Have A 39 Ford Coupe That Is In Way Worst Shape Than This One And I Have A 39 Chevy Coupe That Is Almost Road Ready!!! I Feel Like A Very Lucky Boy!!! Again Welcome To The Club!!!
Bad ass car. Keep the body with that patina, satin clear coat it and that would look awesome. You can't duplicate what decades of time have done. Good luck with it. Looking forward to your future updates.
Wow! What a Cherry Bomb! I'm sure there is some rust repair to do here and there. But... darn! Great looking car. A few upgrades here and there. Probably a modern drive train and presto! A classic back in the road!
I saw a 37 Ford Hellboy up to about 20 years ago we go out and start it once a week and it was up off the ground so he could run it through the gears. Beautiful paint and everything was on it. It was a car has been on the road for about 50 or 60 years. And it was normally kept in the barn sometime it was taken out. But overall it was in great shape and there's a two-door. I just didn't want to drive to go get it for some reason 1800.00 is what I sold it for because I told a friend of mine about it. He took it home spruced up just a little bit running off of coffee can of gas yeah he had driving around the yard that you know less than the weekend. Okay I'll say I'm happy for him but now I've often wondered why I didn't go get
That car is good as Gold what a beautiful find what a nice project little duce coup ❤the beach boys ,ZZ TOP made songs about this American classic cars
Cool car! When in Jr High, 72, 73 time frame, I lived in a small town, Duke Oklahoma, which, by the way, the school, except for the gym, was underground. For fun we would cruise all the dirt roads which were many. We came upon a small group of abandoned buildings, and there were at least 20 cars parked on the property. Many from the era of yours. Fords, Pontiacs, Chevy, Dodge, and others.the latest were the Ford Tudors. All complete with little to no damage other than the effects from weather. I still wonder about these cars and what happened to them and why they were there.
Congratulations, thats a very beautiful old Ford. Outstanding, im happy for you. I think I'd better Subscribe to follow along with your Adventure here. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like there’s a few cool cars still out there. But it’s really tough to find them like this. Yup just do what it takes to get the engine running. Put some brakes on it. Make sure the safety equipment works and drive the wheels off it. 🎉🎉
I LOVE Antique & Classic cars, Houses, watches, etc. My "problem" is WHY don't you buyers of these BEAUTIFUL Gems & Artifacts mention the Final Sales Price? (PLEASE) I gotta know, just so I can moan & complain about not being The One to find these Beauties & Call You a Lucky "So-&-So". (Congrats, Man.) I applaud & ENVY you. Merry Christmas. @rockysramblings Thanks Bro'. Now I can drink my Coffee & feel even WORSE knowing that You got a FAN-TAS-TIC DEAL. I can't wait to see what you'll do to make needed improvements & Repairs. @@rockysramblingsthat a sweet Ford coupe once you have restored it it's going to be a great ride 😀 👍 👌 😄
36 and 37 had completely different grilles. I like them both.
@@davidkeeton6716I like the grill on the 35 Fords as well. To me the 38 and 41 Fords grills, are the ugly duckling of the group.
Eu daria algumas demãos de verniz fosco e faria a revisão mecânica!
Thank you for rescuing this beautiful example of American Art Deco Automotive Design !!
Great car, I had a 1938 Standard in High school, Glad this baby will be put back on the road.

Can’t pass up a beauty like this just cuz of a bad engine!
That was cool, but I found it even cooler when he said he’s gonna “keep it original”. Made my day :)
That's a nice car. Wet sand and clear coat. New windows and upholstery. Rewire and engine and drivetrain work. A nice summer project. Gives us more videos.
Love this car & can't wait to see it restored!

Found in a field and none of the wheels were locked up? Lucky find
It was driven there 40 years ago and parked. They blocked it up about 20 years ago they said.

Imagine it the other way; using the patterns and colors of the years to design a wrap for something like a modern Mustang or a disco-era vette!
Wow! What a Cherry Bomb! I'm sure there is some rust repair to do here and there. But... darn! Great looking car. A few upgrades here and there. Probably a modern drive train and presto! A classic back in the road!
