    Honestly speaking there are many channels teaching about using tools, i would really want to learn about UX in depth and also some really important things like how to give your designs to developer + how to present a case study nicely with good visuals and graphics,mockups. I love your work we have even talked once on insta,i'm glad you've started teaching too.

    Super Clarifying Video. I see many job portals where in we have to add skills - I see it's written as UI/UX Designer, Product Designer or Product Managment but really couldn't get the actual differences.
    Also, me being a software developer, a recent grad as well - UI/UX is something which is not included or taught in colleges as such as programming. It's when someone enters the industry and then develops interest in it when work gets alloted. I need you to make a video that I can share it with my college juniors, so they even pickup Design as a Career and not every IT Engineer has to become a Programmer

    Hey Sapta! Thanks for explaining the basic difference between the roles. Can I request you to explain more in deep about Product designing? What more additional skills you need to require to focus on if you're a UX/UI designer. Do you need the capabilities to study data like "CRO"? You talked about "Tradeoffs", should you also need to know about data analysis to understand the user behavior with the product? I know a lot of questions you kinda seemed approachable, so just banking on the chance.

    For me, a Product designer is still a person who designs physical products. They have skills like 3D modeling, CMF design, form design. I hope you find this comment well. I'm a little concerned about what I should choose between Product Design and User Experience. I know I'm interested in PD but somebody keeps telling me I must go through UX which is I'm not interested. Right now, I'm going to the second year in Symbiosis Institute Of Design. I couldn't tell which one is better for me.

      Hey Rohan, As the video suggests, both are one and same. While the real meaning of the terms may sound different, the work that you get to do will likely be same, if you join a product company as a designer.

      I think what he means to say, and I might be wrong, and this is what I'm facing currently too. I want to make a career switch from engineering to design, which I discovered while taking a drop after graduation. I was really interested in physical products but someone suggested to take the path of UX. I'm kinda confused now

    There's so much ambiguity in titles which ultimately hurts both employer and employee not to mention team moral. I concur with your definitions here Sapta. One question I would submit is... in your experiences and definitions, do you see cultures needing and benefiting from having both a Product Owner and Product Designer on the same team? There's quite a bit of overlap as well as subtle differences. I think this video over-viewing the differences between UX and Product Design is good... perhaps you'll consider offering your opinion for Product Owner vs Product Designer in the future. Thank you.

    • @saptarshipr
      @saptarshipr  4 года назад +1

      Of course.. Although there is a lot of overlap but these two roles have their own functions as well. A Product Owner is nothing but another name for a Product Manager.

    Hi Sapta,
    Great video. Just curious of the word 'Tech constraints' you mentioned in the video. As a product designer what sort of tech constrains should we be aware of? Is it more about developers not able to replicate our vision or more on the terms of the infrastructure available for a company?
