Amazing video! But please stop judging the footage based on the phone-display. On the phone-display one might look more saturated than the other...but now that we can see it on a display out of the shades (for instance your desktop display, probably calibrated as well) shows that the Note 8 shoots near-flat and the iPhone shoots with a lot of saturation and contrast. In the past it was the other way around...but now Samsung and Apple have switched. Very interesting indeed!

Not more saturated...More realistic in this case. You can't say something is saturated unless you are there in person for the original. The Note was way more washed out and almost had a blur to it, especially to things in the background. Unless he really is that white, then nevermind.

Both video quality and sound go to Note 8. Like with stills it looks like the Note 8 is capturing more detail, possibly more dynamic range. Too many people are drawn to the exaggerated colors in the default mode of the iPhone. Vibrant colors does not equal picture quality... you can change settings on the Note 8 to get the same artificial colors or in post process, what you can't add is detail and it's far harder to get back to more natural subdued colors from vibrant ones than the other way around. Good comparison.

Lol, idk if we were looking at the same video iphone 8 clearly has better dynamic range, and the extra sharpness on the note 8 is just post-processing too. The “artificial” color on the iphone is still closer to the real tone/ color of the original object, while note 8 at time has blue hue to its object, but at times it do take the correct color. Did you see how the note 8 messes with his skin color and added airbrush to his face? Duhhh.
More vibrant colors does not equal dynamic range... and clearly the Note 8 has a detail advantage, this can be seen across most examples, not sharpness but actual detail.

iPhone 8 Plus has cleaner image and more detailed. Note 8 has much grains on the sky. However Note 8 wider selfie camera makes easier to use but image quality leans toward iPhone 8 Plus.
Thanks man. After seeing the video, I got the note 8 at last. But can you tell me how does the telephoto lens work in slightly low light (for example in rooms)? From my experience, the telephoto camera creates a lot of noise in low light whereas ur pics show clearly better details

hey brother is your comparing two phones you are doing zoom in in one phone and not being shown in in second phone I'm in iPhone is not good so you have to do the same in both the phones
iPhone 8 now crank up saturation and contrast in picture and videos. Note 8 otherwise reduce saturation from their previous flagship to more natural colour that everyone ask. Note 8 have stereo audio and iPhone got mono audio. That's why Note 8 audio is better when recording a video and sound. iPhone need to add stereo mic and Note 8 need to put stereo speaker as iPhone 8 to make it perfect.
Front facing camera, iPhone 8p has it colour and saturationwise. Rear facing cameras... little to choose. What is dramatic is the better quality audio on the Note 8.
when you are panning you need to move much slower so you get a better idea of how much detail the phone can maintain with movement. Plus it was dizzy making

I think the note 8 looks better because of the really ultra realistic photos and the option of live photos with wide angle and zoom in options. Plus the more saturasted colours of the front facing camera will make a dark skin person appear lighter.. win win
Were you holding the galaxy at the same height as the Iphone at the beginning??... it looks like you were holding the phone lower than the Iphone... did you clean both lenses? Cuz the front facing cam look dirty on the galaxy... and the sun is more in the shot...
Note 8 got way better dunamic range and more detailed. You can see things further away more clearly and clarity is just amazing. Iphone looks really over exposured, looks really unnatural in some photos.
I think the Note's colors are a little too cool and the iphone's are a little too warm. I like the iphone's stabilization better. The iphone's audio sounds muffled compared to the Note's. There's no clear winner here in my view.

The note8 is a bit overexposed. Not a big deal. Just get a proper camera app that allows you to change the essential parameters!

I'm using the opencamera app. It's free (open source I guess) and has a lot of nice features that my native camera app doesn't support.
