But that depends what you like more, natural or larger than life saturation. iPhone 8 might be faster but lacks features + customisation. Say what you will about Samsung, but Apples UI hasn't changed at all in the past few years with maybe minor changes to the control panel + 3D touch, minor stuff. Battery life is a moot point because it depends on your usage. Anyway at the end of the day we can go back and forth but really, they're just phones. And Samsung/Apple will not care if we defend them.

Sadly I admit. Note 8's has better autofocus, better OIS and better audio capture. But the iPhone 8 Plus has more realistic colours. Samsung has been known to over saturate the video, and the iPhone 8 Plus has 4K 60FPS out of the box. No need for an update we're not sure will even come..

SmallBoy's Studios note 8 is getting 4k 60 in an upcoming update. All those other "features" are useless or not even really worth pointing out as better. Like the flash? Really? You're just looking for anything to try to justify the iPhone 8's camera and using the flash and portrait lighting is no way to judge a smartphone camera. Not to mention portrait lighting is in beta and looks like garbage right now, as seen in the video which I'm thinking you didn't even watch at this point. Also live focus is THE EXACT SAME AS PORTAIT MODE DUMBASS. It actually has more festures since you can change the bokeh effect while taking the picture, and even after the fact. And it takes a regular picture. Actual image quality and dynamic range, low lighting all that is better on the note 8, you know stuff that actually matters with a camera. Clearly you're just upset your shiny new Apple product, yet again, was beat out by Samsung in the camera department. I used to be an iPhone user, but they have nothing going for them anymore except performance. Which at this point unless you're doing some seriously demanding stuff like photo or video editing on your phone, isn't even noticeable compared to any flagship android. Using a phone for social media, texting, taking photos or videos, even gaming, is still smooth as butter on the s8 and note 8, the same as it is on the iPhone. I don't even look at performance when deciding on a phone anymore, since everything will perform very well for my needs and majority of others needs

Iphone x has the same cameras yes? The only difference is optical image stabilization on the telephoto lens. Why would the iphone x be any better than the iphone 8 + besides stabilization on telephoto shots? Also to be quite honest, the upscaled 720p 240fps actually looked a little better to me than the native 1080p 240fps video on the 8 +. Remember, resolution isn't everything. I remember when digital cameras were going through the "pixel" war and you had increasingly high density sensors without a visual improvement (and in some cases, actually looking worse).
The Note 8 was definitely the winner for me. I think you would have a hard time proving that the Iphone 8 Plus did better in this comparison, while it wouldn't be that difficult to make the case for the Note 8, objectively. The Note 8 is an older phone, and yet it has OIS on both lenses, even the telephoto one. The Iphone 8 plus is newer, and yet it doesn't have it. Why does it not have OIS on a telephoto lens? When you zoom in, small adjustments and shaking is going to be even more visible than with the normal camera, meaning that OIS is actually even more important on a telephoto lens. Addtionally, the stabilization on the Note 8 did better in general than the Iphone 8 Plus's stabilization. It's also kind of funny that the Samsung phone wasn't the one that augmented the picture the most, but that it was actually the Iphone with it completely faking the blue sky, while also having a very "cold" image in general with the normal lens, which might be the result of the overly aggressive HDR. It's also kind of disheartening that there is such a big disparity between the telephoto lens and normal lens on the Iphone, something that isn't the case on the Note 8. The note 8 also did better in low-light shots. Overall the Note 8 did fantastic.

SmallBoy's Studios note 8 is getting 4k 60 in an upcoming update. All those other "features" are useless or not even really worth pointing out as better. Like the flash? Really? You're just looking for anything to try to justify the iPhone 8's camera and using the flash and portrait lighting is no way to judge a smartphone camera. Not to mention portrait lighting is in beta and looks like garbage right now, as seen in the video which I'm thinking you didn't even watch at this point. Also live focus is THE EXACT SAME AS PORTAIT MODE DUMBASS. It actually has more festures since you can change the bokeh effect while taking the picture, and even after the fact. And it takes a regular picture. Actual image quality and dynamic range, low lighting all that is better on the note 8, you know stuff that actually matters with a camera. Clearly you're just upset your shiny new Apple product, yet again, was beat out by Samsung in the camera department. I used to be an iPhone user, but they have nothing going for them anymore except performance. Which at this point unless you're doing some seriously demanding stuff like photo or video editing on your phone, isn't even noticeable compared to any flagship android. Using a phone for social media, texting, taking photos or videos, even gaming, is still smooth as butter on the s8 and note 8, the same as it is on the iPhone. I don't even look at performance when deciding on a phone anymore, since everything will perform very well for my needs and majority of others needs

Iphone x has the same cameras yes? The only difference is optical image stabilization on the telephoto lens. Why would the iphone x be any better than the iphone 8 + besides stabilization on telephoto shots? Also to be quite honest, the upscaled 720p 240fps actually looked a little better to me than the native 1080p 240fps video on the 8 +. Remember, resolution isn't everything. I remember when digital cameras were going through the "pixel" war and you had increasingly high density sensors without a visual improvement (and in some cases, actually looking worse).
Galaxy note 8 has better optical stabilization. And better realistic color and not saturated.

The Note 8 was definitely the winner for me. I think you would have a hard time proving that the Iphone 8 Plus did better in this comparison, while it wouldn't be that difficult to make the case for the Note 8, objectively.
The Note 8 is an older phone, and yet it has OIS on both lenses, even the telephoto one. The Iphone 8 plus is newer, and yet it doesn't have it. Why does it not have OIS on a telephoto lens? When you zoom in, small adjustments and shaking is going to be even more visible than with the normal camera, meaning that OIS is actually even more important on a telephoto lens. Addtionally, the stabilization on the Note 8 did better in general than the Iphone 8 Plus's stabilization.
It's also kind of funny that the Samsung phone wasn't the one that augmented the picture the most, but that it was actually the Iphone with it completely faking the blue sky, while also having a very "cold" image in general with the normal lens, which might be the result of the overly aggressive HDR. It's also kind of disheartening that there is such a big disparity between the telephoto lens and normal lens on the Iphone, something that isn't the case on the Note 8.
The note 8 also did better in low-light shots.
Overall the Note 8 did fantastic.

Jamal Phoenix international variant...UK model it has a newer Samsung ISOCELL camera sensor.... the u.s model uses an older sony sensor.... you'll see a difference...
