- The Chicago Police Department sent out a community alert to residents in West Town, Douglass Park and the Lower and Near West Sides about a string of ten robberies that happened in a span of two hours Tuesday morning. WGN's Dana Rebik reports.

The news anchors choose their words so carefully as to not offend anyone. Call it what it is, a gang of young black kids that were raised by a young, uneducated single mother living in some projects that has multiple baby daddies and could care less about that son that's out there robbing people. If, the city of Chicago wants to improve the crime by robbery, then every person caught by committing and participating in these robbery sprees, because that's what they are should be shipped to detention and recovery for 3 years to train them to unlearn criminal behaviour and relearn behaviour that will make them productive citizens of society. Putting back out on the street less than 3 years will only increase more crime, because they may be put in a jail population full of criminals and pick up more bad habits to commit once they are release.
