Good point I didn't know he was killing it as much as he is until I read your comment. His fills are great and keeps the rhythm nice and steady the whole time
@@LizardKing1324 Chad was playing in a more intense way than usual, he burst into tears at the end of "Not the one" explained why...he felt deeply the thud that was the death of Taylor Hawkins
Agreed. “Here After Ever” would have felt like a kick ass announcement that they were bringing their A game. That track has such swagger, a catchy chorus, and shows each member firing on all cylinders. Prime Chili Peppers. (Should of been the opening track of the album as well - in my personal opinion.) I will say that “Black Summer” has grown on me a lot though after hearing it in context of the entire album. I can only assume they chose it as the first single, because they wanted to go ahead and give time for the inevitable initial shock that people have from hearing Anthony’s somewhat bizarre vocal deliveries on that track time to hopefully die down so that it wouldn’t overshadow early reviews and conversations regarding the album as a whole once it released. I’m really digging Ultimate Love. The diversity, experimentation, and new emphasis on playing with song structure/melody that began with By the Way and and continued on Stadium Arcadium. The only difference is that it is now coming through the eyes of a more mature and newly reunited band. Love Narvarro. Love Klinghoffer. And appreciate and enjoyed the albums they were a part of…but albums with Frusciante? They just have an aura or spirit about them.
Chad Smith needs to start getting some serious shine. He's playing at the highest level he's ever played and it looks effortless. This was a killer performance all around. Hate on Anthony all you want but he went from a dude that could only do rap-centric vocals to a guy who can sing a beautiful, soulful melody. He showed both sides on this performance. Loved the delivery.
I am blown away that Anthony got through this entire song. My biggest worry about this album is him not being able to remember most of the songs live.... Lol
Thanks so much for these videos! I know how hard it was to get tickets and the sacrifice you made to record these is massively appreciated all the way over in Australia!
Esa cancion demuestr que los RHCP, estan mas vivos que nunca, con un bajo muy bestial de flea, y un gran regreso de Frusciante, para es la mejor cancion del albeln, posiblemente de los ultimos 15 años
@@LizardKing1324 he’s been using a pick since at least Parallel Universe on Californication. I believe he’s stated out of a desire to be a well rounded bassist technique-wise. Check out Don’t Forget Me, This is the Place, Snow, Zephyr Song, Venice Queen, Fortune Faded
@@Freudenfreude1 From what I remember, he said he learned how to play with a pick for his brief stint with Jane's Addiction, since Eric Avery normally plays with a pick. I guess once it was within his skill set, there was no reason not to use it once in awhile.
No puedo creer éstas cuatro cosas: 1. No puedo creer que Chad sea tan parecido a Will Farrell! 2. No puedo creer que una pulga sepa tocar el bajo! 3. No puedo creer que John haya vuelto a la banda! 4. No puedo creer que Anthony éste año cumpla 60 años!
My fav song off Unlimited Love so far
same
The best
This or the heavy wing for me personally
Definitely for me
@@KyleOConnell22897 yeah its up there. John's vocals on that are definitely a highlight
Everyone talking bout how Frusciante uplift the band live, but Chad is ON FIRE in all songs in this

@@aaronpannell6401 60
the groove is halftime in this compared to the record as well
Anthony’s vocals have reached a new level!
Was thinking that. Pleased he can pull this off live.
@@d4ve3 He messed up the second line of the song lol, but he's definitely sounded better recently.
This shouldve been the first single.
This song can easily go on a greatest album
They choose the best for the final

@@rushmore309 Here Ever After should have been at the end of the album. It set the bar high early. Then went downhill from there
They never choose the best song for their singles.
Best song on the album imo. Chorus is so catchy. It also has a serious The Cure-vibe which I dig.
Intro is Joy Division inspired to me.
weird that theres no guitar on a full verse i kinda dont like it but obviously i may change my mind
I thought the same thing. Bass line sounds like Fascination Street. Loved hearing that bass line for the first time.
@@alexanderboyd14 Exactly the song that came to my mind! One of my favourite basslines.
@@limoncr5205 Interesting. I can definitely hear Joy Division in the single note guitar lines Frusciante plays, now you mention it.
best song on the album. all members brought their best for this song
with Chad playing the bass on the album, pretty dope
@@rikvandermeer8323 what? chad on bass?
@@jorgedutra6528 yeah he's credited with playing bass on that song (along with Flea)
The heavy wing is my favorite
Fuuuuuuck this AK dance during John’s solo is now my favorite thing … actually this whole vibe by the end is just fucking magical

"Throw Away Your Televisions" Drum beat
So fucking right 👏
Throw away ur telev is so good 🔥
Not a bad song to take from. By The Way top 3 Frusciante era.
Sounds a bit like around the world in the rap
Not quite..it's quite different... similar in some ways ..but not that similar
Anthony's performance at this concert is really surprising me, he is just on point in every song
He is miming the new songs
Helps he’s not completely running around like a madman.
@@RavageReeves definitely not
@@RavageReeves I don’t think so. Listen to black summer.

Must be rated the best song of the album. Just another level of Red Hot Chili Peppers artistic universe :)

So happy they played this such a badass song and God that solo was awesome
Awesome
This, Aquatic Mouth Dance and White Braids are my faves so far! She's a lover up there too
Whatchu thinkin is so good too
Agree, but I would also add Let 'em cry and It's only natural. Both being funky as hell.
Don't forget It's Only Natural, all album is great
gives me 2006 stadium arcadium vibes and I am all here for it! by far best song on unlimited love
Yeah that was my first thought as well. The whole album, really.
Gives me Californication vibes 1999
My God , These guys aint kidding. They're back !
The driving bass on this sooo good
Bruh "sat her down when I poured my tea
A tea tea now see my tea" HAD ME DEAD💀💀🤣🤣
What a world we live in, being able to capture a live act on video @ 4K resolution with 60FPS with a phone
This song has such a by the way vibe. I feel like they tried to brng a bit from their sound in each album into this one its great
The drums sound similar to those on Throw Away Your Television.
Beautiful solo JOHN!!!!!!
Made my morning happier. Thanks for this!
Mine too
best song on the album for sure
Just can't tell how many times I watched this video :) in love with the track.
An early favourite from the album for sure. Magic.
The roll of the beat that is flowing like an ocean speeds up; twisting into a whirlwind of wild Hunlike war pulse with the calmness of the Ahtman.
BEST SONG ON THE ALBUM PERIOD!!!!!
Best song
Thanks for the videos. Good audio and videography.
I wish john sang backup harmonies on the chorus here! If he did that this would be my fave song on the record
Cual es tu cancion favorita?
Anthony is more than enough
In an interview (the Broken record podcast with Rick Rubin I think) John said he didnt feel like the chorus needed backing vocals
Probs the best song on the album.
Definitely top 5-7 for me!
This and Whatchu Thinkin’ are what I keep going back to for relistens
You feel the rush, makes you feel like in the ocean, floating ❣️

I thought flea was playing that with a pick. Killer bass line.
He is playing it with a pick as evident in the video?
I would imagine that might hurt your hands/wrists doing those pops, slaps and crawls that he does for 30 years. Hopefully he can keep on keeping on!
