It's almost like the mercurial talents are actually tools or weapons of sorts for the one that is going through the loss of innocence because that's the the destiny of that sign Mercury has a responsibility to give the Virgo tools to get through the darkness and the light

I have my sun, moon, Mercury, and Mars all in Virgo and all in the 4th house. I was a very bright and shiny child who then experienced so many dark things for so long, that eventually I began to feel that innocence slipping away despite it always being so strong in me. Many Dark Nights of the Soul throughout my life. It seemed never ending and hopeless. Now headed toward my 51st birthday I can say that I have felt my connection to that innocence returning and a rebirth is occurring. It's beautiful, but also messy and well Virgos would prefer to avoid messy lol. We may love organization and cleanliness and bringing the order to chaos. But there is so much more than this simplified version that doesn't acknowledge the depth of experience and depth of thought. The depths of darkness at times too. But only for the ability to keep the light lit through the tunnel for others to find their way. That was the meaning I assigned to it and it helps me a lot.

Wow, I feel like I know Virgo energy in a whole different way now. My mind is blown and I know I’ll have to re-listen to absorb some of that more. I love these throw back, but I can’t wait for you to take the other planets through the signs too!
So fascinating to think of the contrast between light and dark-- in particular: a loss of innocence that happens with Virgo. I would have though of childlike innocence as being more of a Leo thing but given that Virgo comes after Leo in zodiacal order, we see how this develops.
I previously would think of Mercury in Virgo as being meticulous, witty, and with an eye for details in writing, editing, and speaking. However, Virgo as a sign is associated with purity. The virgin. I often forget this, but it makes so much sense and serves to explain the grapple that Mercury in Virgo natives have with wanting things to be simpler and pure, but they have seen (and cannot unsee) the challenges that made them grow up and lose touch with their innocence.

After this video I thought about the song "Stressed out" of Tyler Joseph which also speaks of the loss of childhood. Although Tyler Joseph, singer and songwriter, doesn't have mercury in virgo, he has the moon in virgo - and funny enough: On the day of the song release, the moon was in virgo too! Probably this comment fits better in a moon in virgo section but don't want to look it up now..
Anyways, I learned a lot about virgo today which is cool as I have some relatives with sun or moon in virgo - perhaps I'll understand them little better now.

I have read Liz Greene books. I love her style of weaving the stories and myths into modern day scenario's. One wee thing i read about Pluto/mars and the triggering that takes place. Described my daughter, helped me understand her. I love Liz Greene.

Why wouldn't Gemini be the exaltation of Mercury, if it's Mercury being the fluid go-between that's the viable? Is it because the NN is said to be exalted in Gemini &, as such, is "already taken"?
There is a very elaborate explanation for the assignment of Mercury to Virgo for both domicile and exaltation, which I go into at length in my 1st year course!
@@Adam-Elenbaas I'm a current 1st year student ! Have been over my notes from class, (your work with domiciles vs exaltations is really fantastic) but I still can't get my head around why it's Virgo and not Gemini, given Mercury is the variable...is it because Virgo is a Yin sign & so already in more Moon adjacent territory, compared to the yang sign Gemini? Cooperating rulership is v Mercurial & all but I've always found the explanation of why Virgo gets the prize of the two Mercury rulers a little vague...to me Gemini feels the bigger gender fluid sign of the two, in many ways.

This tarnishing that you're talking about requires one's perspective to function from an endpoint so one has a set fixed example of what perfect means and if you ever get to meet that place depends upon the choices that we make in life but I do not agree with this there's a movie with Jodie Foster and she gets a g********* ... ( Autocorrect blanked out the word that I wrote gang-bang3d )by a bunch of people in a bar and after she gets raped she's left in a the woods and this man carries her out of the woods and he says to her that "they can't take from you anything there's nothing that they can take from you" and and he holds her and he carries her out of there and that line has always stuck with me. "they" try to make you feel like you're tarnished or like there's something wrong or something's been taken or and there hasn't been and in fact there's been something given. There is no such thing as a loss of innocence Just a attempt to preserve what we believe innosense to be and if there is a loss of innocence it's not a bad thing.
