I resented my Mercury in Virgo for a long time, especially because I'm Leo Sun / Sag Rising. I felt it contradicted my personality. BUT as an adult... I'm finding it gives me great discernment and I'm able to study and research topics for long spans of time. ♡

This is probably the best video on Mercury in Virgo I've ever watched. This is my 3rd time watching this. The contrast between light and dark and loss of innocence has shown up so much in my life. As a Mercury in Virgo, this is probably the most mind blowing and accurate thing I have heard in regards to Astrology. This loss of innocence has been a huge reoccurring theme in my life since I was a child. I also basically lost my mind at the young age of 18. Wow. Thank you so much 🖤

Thanks for noticing ;-D I so appreciate this fuller understanding of my Mercury in Virgo which I always assumed was just "you're organized (*yawn*), but since listening to this, I have been remembering how often darkness doubt and worry fill my psyche. And with Mercury in my 12th house, honestly - there has been many serious life and death things to worry about so far. But the thought that my darkness is not merely a nervous tick, but a "sanctified" wrestling with faith...well, it brought tears to my eyes. Thank you.

I have mercury and sun in Virgo and this really spoke to me. I don’t know a lot about astrology and had no idea that those were Virgo themes, but they say so much about me. Wow! I’ve often identified with Persephone because childhood felt easy and fun but around adolescence I decided to pay more attention to my church and tried harder to follow what my parents and church were teaching me and soon after became very depressed and this has since been an issue. Feeling like the strong fears of darkness taught in my church really took hold of me and changed me and my innocence. Even though I no longer follow that religion I’m constantly aware of how it changed me and how I still deal with fear. People have often told me I look younger than I am, as well.
I have Mercury in Virgo and l also had a fun and easy childhood for the most part and things changed drastically for me in adolescence as well for a different reason. I always get told I look much younger than I am too

I was so stoked when you mentioned Tori Amos! I'm such a big fan of hers and what I realized helps to illustrate your point about Mercury in Virgo communicating the balance of innocence and the loss of it, Tori Amos has a song called Winter which is about her relationship with her father and childhood innocence. One of the ending verses is "all the white horses have gone ahead". She revisits that lyric on a later album on a track called "Horses" which features the themes she explored in "Winter", except that it's a departure from the innocence explored earlier and into meeting your inner demons. Give those two songs a listen if you haven't already, they really embody what you talked about here.
This is eye-opening. It's also amazing that you mentioned Liz Greene, I love her works so much, they really changed my perspective.
I have Mercury conjunct Venus in Virgo in my chart and I resonated with a lot of this.

✅great athlete (never would have thought to attribute that to my mercury placement)

Big fan of Tori Amos! After you explained her background, lyrics from her song, ‘Precious Things’ came to mind. It was one of her biggest hits, Tori packed a punch of emotional truth about her angst from growing up. Being a PK makes sense, some lines take a good jab at “those Christian boys”.

Interesting... reminds me of Dionysus and the rites of the priestesses, the youth who is sacrificed... Mercury is the thoughts, the ideals and Virgo is the embodied instrument of grounding that into reality as an Earth sign. Life can be messier than our thoughts about it. Virgo can also have a touch of obsession about it.

I have 5 planets in Virgo. Mercury starts off the stellium followed by Uranus, moon, sun and all conjunct Pluto. One thing I have a problem with is the abuse of power. I will put myself in harms way if needed.

i have the sun, mercury, Uranus and a conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn in Virgo, and cap. is my rising, this whole talk resonated so deep, due to childhood trauma i was forced to grow up way too quick. I decided that being in active addiction for 18 years was better than looking up and in. I had an awakening in 2011. (thank the stars) I've since started to learn all the mystic arts and help others find ways to heal themselves. I've gotten married, had kids and bought a house. The divine timing was amazing and I am glad for all of the traumas and also grateful I stumbled across your page a couple weeks ago . my birth chart is spot on from start to finish my birthday is even strange 09/05/ at 555am lol dark to light, from just an average human, who loves to write and draw.. lol

Wondering how do we get so lost with such a direct divine compass.. cuz Mercury eats away at the mind if not More consciously directed. Anyways, I know how the Virgo mind can numb better parts of reality and confine us into a silent storm beneath the surface. I also have a stellium in Scorpio with Moon, Venus and Pluto within 2 degrees of each other (in 7th house where Libra Sun is too) and South Node there, and Pisces Ascendant opposes my Sun and Virgo Mercury (at end of 6th house) squaring Midheaven, Neptune and Mars in Sagittarius with Capricorn Jupiter conjunct that So I know it seems vain to think anyone wants to know all about my chart, but I feel like my life is in part purposed to understanding how to be human & spiritual on Earth. And mental lol.
I love to think everyone is deep, and I see and seek their depths, but it seems clear I am here to do nitty gritty work that most others won't so I can hopefully help people find their souls, realize and respect their relationship with mother earth and share themselves with the world so we can all get along and stop getting things so unnecessarily wrong.
I have studied the less conscious forces that deliberately try to make life less than it is supposed to be for all of us, so I know what is in the way. And I sought spirituality, often in a practical way afraid I was faking it til it finally synced and I can feel the immense divine love that courses through me and animates everything here.
I still feel so much guilt and shame but I try to continue working through it. Anxiety has ruled my life and threatened to destroy me so many times. I see it is a lot to do with sensitivity and gifts though. With Taurus North Node in 2nd house certain stability is evasive, but I know I am getting close. I gave myself permission to be an artist a few months ago lol I need to give it more of the old Taurus try but I am on my way once I believe in myself enough or come to peace with the fact that I may never get that satisfaction and just truly start what I want to do anyway
I also am pretty serious about starting a charity to help the homeless, many still my friends as I was homeless for a bit in recent years something terrible has gone on from my ex and his mother but that's another story that should soon end.. Sorry for rambling thank you so much for this video and beautiful insight I'll finish watching now
oh part of my point was about how we need to give ourselves permission to live and love perhaps from Pisces, Virgo's opposite sign.. or else the practicality of the punishment and guilt of being human, and seeing others be inhuman will eat you alive. I guess that means we must also equally give others freedom to live and love.
It gets hard when your Virgo mind knows how to save people from so many things or themselves, but they hate (ie show unconsciousness) you for it most of the time and you're stuck in the middle between watching people hurt themselves or others unnecessarily and risking having them hurt us or accusing us of hurting them for trying to help them in ways they think are irrelevant, detrimental or don't understand.
Pisces (and Virgo's higher understanding) helps us to remain open and pure of heart and mind toward inhumanity and lack of spirituality; knowing more consciousness is the only solution for unconsciousness... and shirking expectations, accepting and finding the gratitude and rightful attitude for any moment

Virgo tends to be very intelligent and somewhat perfectionistic. That combination often leads to substance abuse or control oriented issues such as eating disorders. Or suicide....
