You did not show the hardest part of storing a dinghy on the roof rack. That is hauling it out of the water and back on the roof rack. I have an Achilles 67lb inflatable under 8ft and wondering if this is doable. Got my 1095 on 5/23.
Congrats on the 1095! I need to bring one of our kids along to to film loading.. What we love about the Takacat is the ability for my wife and I to load it fairly easily. The 300LX weighs about the same as your dingy, 66 lbs (29.9 kg), and is 9'10" (3m). My wife and I do it together and it is easier than we thought. We keep two lines on the starboard of the dingy, pull along the side the 1095 in the water so the stern of the dingy is toward the bow of the 1095. We use the line to pull up the dingy on its side to reach the handles, lift together together onto the rail, then up on to the roof. With the weight distribution, I am lifting about 42 lbs and my wife about 24 lbs.
love the takacat!!
