I saw this video in my recommended tab a few weeks ago when it only had a few hundred views. I’ve finally gotten round to watching it and it’s great to see it have thousands of views now. I really enjoyed it, well done!
This is cool to see! I also actually bought a 3ds XL with USB-C capture card from ebay too a few months back. I wonder if this is the same seller I bought from Australia, since you mentioned Melbourne, Australia?
So the ll was Japans version of the xl. It stands for larger than large. It was region locked to Japan and I'm pretty sure it was the only country to get the ll edition. Everywhere else had the xl edition. There's pretty much no difference between the two other than the region lock and the game libraries are different. That and some special editions of the 3ds were available in specific regions and not in others. For anyone interested in buying a 3ds these days, id suggest buying a Japanese edition and home brewing it so you can unlock the region. It's also way cheaper than buying a regular 3ds. You can spend two to three times more on a us model than a Japanese model which is pretty crazy. And homebrewing is super easy compared to back when it was first possible to do. Overall it's a fun handheld to have in 2023. 👌
17:15 - did you say you can transfer a cfw device to a brand new device without modding the new one before? (And then the transfer will make the new device modded when transferring is completed?
I think I found the seller. I got to say, this seller does a very clean cut out for the USB-C port don't you agree? And the cool thing is you can also charge your 3ds with USB-C! I had mine shipped abroad and had to pay a hefty customs duty but, I knew exactly what I was investing into.
I can probably help you with prices. i got my original 3ds for 90$, 3ds xl can be found at 100-110 but its rare, usually you find them around 130-140. 2ds are 100$, sometimes you can find them at 90. the new 3ds is around 190$, while the new 3ds xl is 230 usually. finally, the new 2ds xl is around 170$. My recommended 3ds is definitely the new 3ds. its small, but powerfull, and feels nice in your hands. if you have bigger hands or want a bigger screen, i would recommend the new 3ds xl. special editions like the one he has are 300-1000$ in some cases. not worth it at all, as the new 3ds has easily changeable front plates where you can design/buy a design of a plate.
Moreso the 3DS, I always wanted the "New" Nintendo 3ds XL Model, figured now's sort of my last chance before they start getting expensive. The capture card I got partially for this video, partially because I wanted USB C Charging, partially because I wanted sound to come through my PC headphones easily and also because I have plans to playthrough some of the games on it as streams.

Is it too late to buy a N3DS XL now? I plan getting one for christmas.
Normal use yes, but if willing to mod it no
Both modded and normal is fine. But don't expect new games to it since Nintendo are more focus on Switch
I will also get one after 17 days.

In AUD, 300-1000$ is correct.
The capture card install itself was half of the unit cost.
