Got it just now for 99 dollars with a 4ah battery great deal as of today
Ryobi is really making a come back...they came a long way since the blue tools
I still got the blue tools they still work fine.
@@dwightbeach3242 the blue ones were really usable when the lithium batteries came out
I just bought my first Ryobi One+ tools; a 3-speed impact wrench/air inflator/2.5Ah Li+/charger kit. The choice was easy: 1) the kit was at a 30% discount, 2) my corded wrench had been stolen from my garage, 3) I have three cars that needs change btw winter/summer tires (that is 12 wheels x 5 bolts x 2 times a year = 120 bolts), and 4) the impact driver and circular saw (which already were on my Xmass gift list) are the only 18V tools available for a decent price where I live (in Norway most premium brands are crazy over-priced).
The tools worked flawlessly. The wrench had decent torque/speed and I was able to change one set of wheels in 12 min. Though it drained the battery and it took about 10 min to adjust the pressure, I especially liked the digital gauge on the inflator. The kit will be a permanent on-board unit on long hauls. I just need to find time to make a sturdy, weatherproof and foamed box for it. All-in-all: I'm very satisfied with Ryobi One+.
I used to use all Porter Cable tools, but I've become a real Ryobi tool fan in recent years. I bought a Ryobi weed eater a few years ago and it was such a great workhorse for the money that I bought another tool, then another....eventually becoming fully entrenched into the Ryobi ecosystem. I don't have a single complaint against these tools that I don't against any other manufacturer for the same type of tool. I think they're great bang for the buck.
The ATG Gold W7150 Kim X3 has same result but with 1,000 ft lbs of torque for removing an F40's crankshaft bolt and 430ft lb wheel lug nuts with ease.
This Ryobi P261 is nice to have for basic works around the house & basic car repairs.
The price adds up because you really need two batteries.
Very nice reviews.
I just got the RYOBI ONE+ 18v 1/2 cordless impact wrench with battery and charger for $99 (on sale, original price was $160) and home depot gave me a free RYOBI ONE+ 18V Cordless 3/8 in. 4-Position Ratchet for free! it was a buy one get one free deal. Got 2 tools for the price of one that was on sale!
All mechanics need this tool. It's amazing.
I just got one for $129.99 during Ryobi Days at HomeDepot. It came with a 4 Ah battery, charger and bag. I also got the P237, 1/4" Impact Driver with 2 - 3 Ah HP batteries, charger, and another bag - all for $99.99. I also bought the Ryobi Impact Driver bit set of 70 pieces for the 1/4" driver. Then off to Harbor Freight to get a set of 13 - 1/2" deep impact sockets in Metric and another set in SAE, and a 30 piece set of 1/2" and 3/8" impact sockets. Let no nut go untwisted!
Just to add a little more, yesterday I took my house-lounging grandson of 5 outside to try his hand taking lug nuts off my pickup truck with the 1/4" impact driver. It was a breeze, both performed admirably - neither had any difficulties. Loving little grandson and an impressive little 1/4" impact driver. I didn't even have to take out the 1/2" impact wrench to do the job. Many kudos to Ryobi for such powerful and inexpensive tools for the consumer.
Go team ryobi. I haven't considered an impact driver but now I think one of these just moved to my short list. Thanks J-Dog.
Brien yeah an impact wrench can come in handy when more torque is needed- especially if you need to use sockets
Awsome props to Ryobi. Ive been using Ryobi for years now without issue and great performance.
Got one sometime ago and works great on my tire rotating needs and shock replacement on 3/4 ton truck and wife’s car
I ordered one it's due to arrive tomorrow. Looking forward to it. I purchased mostly for auto work but sure I'll use for other stuff also
I'm a mechanic and use it every day. it's good for 95% of my needs. removes lug nuts, crank bolts on most cars. if I need something stronger then I'll go back to my air impact
unbelievable power and versatility , love my Ryobi power tools
Great review as always! I still don't have a cordless impact wrench. I was running some 12 inch lags into trees and the 1/4 inch impact driver just didn't have the torque and sheared the socket adapter. I had to run an air line out to the back yard and bring out the pneumatic. If you are running lags you need one of these, otherwise stick to a regular impact driver.
Wild Goose thank bro. I was in the same situation as well running all my lags with impact drivers. One thing I realized lately is that the impact drivers can drive some pretty big lags although they take ages on the bigger sizes but a high torque impact wrench humbles even the the strongest impact drivers
Here's the deal
I have basically replaced all my corded and air tools with the Ryobi 18 v system
Never would have believed it back in the day
Another thorough review man, great work. I'm really liking Ryobi, it's a great value and perfect for the diy or at home use
Nalu Rash thanks Nalu!
Great Javier, that Ryobi impact wrench has some real power. i also liked seeing your collection of tools, man you got a lot!
Peter Wettersten thanks Peter, still have some empty space believe it or not. Also you can never have to many tools if you know what I mean ;)
Tool Craze i know just what you mean we can NEVER have too many tools!
Great review! Nice tool storage room. I can't wait to see the review on the new ryobi 18 volt circular saw.
Cody Robertson thanks Cody! I built the storage room myself and I'll have the review up soon for the saw.
Just bought this tool even though I'm a makita and dewalt fan and it's badass.
Very impressive Javier!! Ryobi has really been stepping up there game and like U said there prices are always nice compared to others
Mike Z Thanks Mike! All of their latest 18v tools I've been trying out have been up there in terms of performance. Definitely not the Ryobi I remember from back in the day
Hi, I really really like your reviews, when are you going to do some more, especially the Ryobi gear. Maybe some shoot outs between Ryobi and the opposition. Thanks for your hard work... 😀
Another great review, awesome job Javier!
Jose Lopez thanks Jose!
Great tool. Waiting for it to come to the store.
Great video Javier .ryobi really coming out with some great tools
iilover doe thanks bro
I saw this at home depot today and want to buy it really bad.
Nice review! Hopefully Ryobi will come out with a brushless version of this larger impact soon. I just picked up the Ryobi brushless 2200 inlb 3 speed 1/4" impact driver and on it's highest setting, it easily removes lugnuts on my vehicle.
They did and it's gutless.
On the high setting mine throws out spark from the motor and makes a sulphur smell.
Im sure that's normal 🙄
it is. It has brushes
Hey Javier. I enjoy watching your clear detailed reviews. I have a question, I would like to own one of these tools. I'm mostly looking into something that is simple enough for assembling furniture quickly. Also maybe use the same tool for loosening lugs from wheels if possible. If not, just regular 10-14mm heads. Thanks!
+coolvans1988 I wouldn't use the same tool for both, if you used lets say an impact wrench for furniture building, you run the risk of destroying the furniture from overtorqing. I would suggest a powerful 12V screwdriver for assembling "put together" furniture and an impact wrench for lugs. You don't necessarily need a screwdriver for assembling furniture and anything with a clutch such as a drill would be good.
This is what i want to see great video man!
hey man !!!! how you doin, i thought you no longer did the vids, glad to have found you again, be safe.
Nice selection of tools in that closet
Go go Ryobi ! Making really good tools at a great price =)
Excellent Vid Buddy . great Job .
+Luke McFarland thank you bro
Great video javier!
Maybe you can add the amount of newton meters to the list of specifications
Arjan van Helden thanks Arjan, I think I might have to do that
With bolts on wood on anything else best to use washers the attachment will be much stronger. If your using them on metal use a grade 8 washer if its just tin use standard grade & also fender washers work better for thin metal.
Sometimes I use 3 washer start with the correct size on the head of the bolt & then go larger on the second & larger on the third.
But that's me & I also use Ridgit Octain 1/2 maximum torque output of 620 ft./lbs. of torque in reverse & 485 ft./lbs. of torque in forward.
I just bought one to check out and compare to the Ridgid. First Ryobi tool for me. STRONG metal smell from motor and YES - it spits sparks. Like 6 inches out. I don't think that's normal, I have a LOT of other brushed motor L-ion tools (older Dewalts mostly) and none of them ever sparked. I'm returning this and sticking with the Ridgid (don't like Dewalt 1/2 impact options or price).
Ridgid and Ryobi are both made by TTI, so you're essentially leaving one TTI brand for another TTI brand.
Your right, my Home Depot app dosent have it available online or in store but if i just go through Google it lets me pull it right up through Home Depots web site. Must be a regional thing.
Thanks Javier and great review as always.
chase french you're welcome Chase, I found out because I've been checking several items there for weeks even months to see when they come out.
Great review?! Just what I was looking for.
Craftsman and Rigid both have this same 300 ft model just without the 3 speed. Weird how TTI make the bones and these companies try to one up eachother with features
Luis Contreras very true and I noticed that a while back, many of Ryobi and Craftsman 18v 19.2v cordless tools look very similar
It's only as strong as the lowest models of Milwaukee etc. But the price makes it interesting
Thanks for the review. I wonder if this unit is coming to australia. Looks great :-)
Andrew Lacey you're welcome Andrew. I'm surprised you guys don't already have them. Usually you guys get new tools before we do
Awesome vid, thanks for sharing! Also new subscriber! 😎
Thanks bro!
Been looking for this tool everywhere online, Looks like it would suit my needs perfectly. If i could only find a way to actually buy it. I have not been able to find it online or at Home Depot. How did you even get your hands on the Ryobi 3 speed impact wrench?
chase french take a look again, I can see it sold online both baretool and kit form and even my local hd sells it instore. My local HD also sells a bunch of their other recently released tools
chase french Trying walking into your local HD store. Both of my local stores had lots of the P261s in stock.
None are available at any of the stores in my area unfortunately, guess thay just havent gotten to Louisville yet.
chase french I kept seeing it online listed as Out of Stock and "Online Only" and then, a couple of weeks ago, the store had a rack of them. Call the Pasadena, MD store and have them ship you one. They had a bunch.
Nice review !! I have the Ridgid 18V Impact Wrench which is very similar to this one and I love it. Powerful and efficient !!
Maxime Desaulniers Boisvert thanks, they do look very similar. So does the craftsman c3
Great video
Made up my mind on a impact wrench
Glad the video helped out, thanks for watching
Buen video Javier!
What is the max ft pound in each gear. #3 is 300 ft pounds. I think??? What is #2 gears max, and #1 gears max. - can't find that info anywhere. When putting bolts back on tires you don't wanna be in 3rd gear if the ft pounds is 300.
We need to get this in a impact shootout with other similar models. I'm wondering if this is the same tool as ridgid 's impact. If so that's a good thing.
Bigchuck678 looks the same as the ridgid and craftsman models but this ryobi has the 3 speed feature
I have a P261, after I tested it on a 120 ft lbs. nut, the POS couldn't even loosen the nut at setting 3! Does the battery matter? I used a 2amp battery.
Very good review.
Excellent review. I decided to buy this based on your review, and am happy with it. Glad I didn't buy the old model.
+Phil Johnson thanks Phil, I'm glad the review helped out
Nice review, you have my Sub and Thumbs Up!
Awesome, thanks!
Niice 1, may I asked what battery you were using. Cheers
Don't remember as it was many years ago but it should be mentioned in the video
I like tools con guebos and this has it the drill and impact driver are great as well ese
+Ruben Rivera good price point also
yesser ese
Do you know why this doesn't come with an adapter for 1/4 inch impact bits? Ryobi has part # 670772002 listed as a "replacement part" and seems like it is made exactly for these wrenches.
No washers on those lags?
what if you try another side of the wood ???
Have you had any issues with sparks when pressing engaging and disengaging the tool? I just bought mine yesterday and It shoots a spark out the side with the electric brake and a good size one on the inside when engaging. There is also a slight smell when using the tool. I heard some say this is normal for some tools but since you didn't mention it I was wondering if I should return it for an exchange or contact Ryobi directly regarding my concerns.
Thanks in Advance
+Joshua Adams its normal for minor sparks to come out of the rear vents when a power tool starts up and when it brakes (electric brake). The key word being minor sparks, if you feel the sparks are too big and fear they are going to harm you or start a fire, then there's something wrong with the tool.
Its also normal for impact power tools either impact drivers or wrenches to have a burnt smell coming from the exhaust. In my experience the burnt smell is actually from the electric brake. So if the tool smells a bit burnt after the electric brake kicks in, it should be fine. There shouldn't be a smell when the tool is running but after the electric brake engages. I've noticed the burnt smell is more common in impact tools and even on some drills although not too common on drills and not all impact tools have the smell.
Thank you so much for the response. Once i got some work behind it the sparks went almost all away. Tons better.
Thanks again,
Josh
Where’s is Javier at, hasn’t posted videos in awhile..
Hey there Mando, you can always find me on www.toolcraze.net
Ryobi P261 impact wrench at Home Depot 159 Canadian just tool if you want the kit it’s $200 more and you will get a cheap battery.... hard to find RYOBI TOOLS at home DEPOT IN CANADA Since Covet19 hot why
From the title, I was expecting a comparison of the P261 with the P1830. Wondering why the P1830 is priced nearly 50% more than the P261. 10% faster seems to be the only advantage to the P1830 3200RPM vs. 2900RPM. Doesn't sound like a game changer. Not for 50% more cash. Home Depot has the P261 tool with charger and 4 AH battery (a $50 value) for only $10 more than the P261 tool alone, but you have to order online. Same price as Harbor Freight (before 20% discount coupon). Seems to be a no-brainer to order the P261 with battery and charger from Home Depot.
You have your info wrong. The P261 is the bare tool and the p1830 is the same tool in kit form. Kit means it includes battery and charger. Bare tool means tool only.
Both are the same tool. In fact if you get the p1830 kit, the impact wrench itself is the p261.
There is no difference in specs between the two because they are the same thing.
You have the stats wrong because it's not 3200 rpm vs 2900. They are both 3200 ipm and 2900 rpm with 300 ft lbs torque.
The p1830 is more expensive because the p261 is tool only and the p1830 includes the p261 plus battery and charger.
Specs for the P1830 and P261 show a 300 RPM speed difference on the Home Depot web site, but in the product description, you're right. the P1830 includes the P261. I thought the P1890 was the P261 with 4AH battery and charger. So what's the difference between the P1830 ($179) and the P1890 ($129)?
Sometimes home depot gets there info wrong, wouldn't be the first time. You can check the official Ryobi site for accurate info or the box itself.
Hmmm never heard of the p1890 kit. I had to look out up. Only info is on the home depot site.
Seems to be the same exact kit as the p1830 except for the charger. You get the slower black charger with the p1830 for a lot less and you get the faster green charger with the p1830 for a lot more. Doesn't make sense considering the green charger p117 is only $30 last time i checked over a year ago. Unless it went up quite a bit it doesn't make any sense.
I also want to mention Ryobi needs to work on their model number naming for their tools as completely different model numbers for the tools in bare tool form or kit form are completely different and gets confusing. They do this with some of their other cordless tools.
Buen video bro
guillermo aguilar gracias
I ordered this drill but says it's the p1833 model. It looks the exact same, what's the difference? Thanks
this is an impact wrench not a drill, that's the difference
@@ToolCraze sorry I meant impact
I just bought this wrench along with the same battery you have. Whenever I am on speed 3 I see sparks in the motor and have a ozone smell, tried two different wrenches they seem to have the same problem. Is that normal??
If the Sparks are very small, yes it's normal. I don't know what ozone smells like but it's normal for impacts to have a sort of burnt smell near the vents but the smell is not strong.
If you see smoke during use, that's not normal.
hi Javier were would I be able to purchase one of these
+aaron otoole home depot
Hi can it be used also as a screwdriver or drill?
a drill? yes but only with an adapter. Screwdriver? I wouldn't suggest it as it would be too powerful and might just break fasteners too easily, you'd need an adapter also if you wanted to try. But if you want an impact to do all three get an impact driver. Ryobi has several of them.
Tool Craze would go with the impact driver.. thanks mate!
👍
I really like the impact butt my drill just took a shit and i hardly ever use it
Nice review
However, at 3:58 you did something VERY unsafe. :-(
JohnnyG what was unsafe??
He used his free hand to push behind the blade. Never.
i dont see how thats unsafe really
Every man has to make his own decisions in life. Some just have more fingers than others.
havent worked around carpenters much have ya ? they all do things that scare most people like that. but its tool control and they keep fingers away from saw. those lil saws are kinda hard to control they move around easy. i my self try to stay safe lol i like my fingers.
impossible to find this kit at HD
+a I'm not sure if they offer it as a kit in store but they do offer the bare tool in store. You can buy the kit online
классная вещь
Is it normal to have some sparks coming out from the went when use on high speed?
Small ones yes
I don't think so
@@sonofthe80s that's why I said small ones, obviously 6 inch sparks are not small and not normal. Normal amount of sparks are so small they are contained inside the casing and can be seen through the vents. Sparks occasionally go out of vent's but barely. It's only normal to see sparks when the motor starts and ends (electric brake) but not in between. A bit of a burnt smell is normal but only noticeable if smelling up close.
Thank you, yep they are pretty small, just bought it so wanted to make sure its normal or not since you already have it.
Is it brushless?
No
Do not touch ryobi if your in the UK. they wont cover your guarantee if your a tradesman as i have found out at my own cost.also dont use the new 5amp batteries on older ryobi tools as it will burn it out
HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM?? I really want this tool to work for me but I have went through 3 of them so far two of which only lasted about 2 weeks . On the highest torque setting (3) they will periodically cut out , you will have to pull and release trigger several times before it works. I'm not even using them for work , just around the home shop. Very disappointed because i have at least a dozen ryobi cordless tools, 4 chargers and 6 batteries. I don't want to have to go to a higher priced brand
are you using a compact battery or a fatpack battery like the 4.0ah?
The kit is 100 right now lol I think ima get it
I'm sry but this impact does not even come close to the dewalt dcf 899. it's rated at 700ibs TQ and 1200ibs breakaway. it also has 3 levels of power. I have the MAC bwp151 which is the same thing really and it will break lugs loose I. it's lowest setting.
If you think this has a lot of ft lbs my dad has a 1/2 air wrench gun that has about 800 ft bls
you think 800 ft lbs is a lot? cordless 1/2" impact's now have 1400 nut busting and 1000 fastening ft lbs torque toolcraze.net/milwaukee-2nd-gen-m18-fuel-high-torque-impact-wrenches-1400-ft-lbs-nut-busting-torque-compact/
How much warranty..
+Jesus Fontánez 1 yr i think
Thanks
sure bro
+Jesus Fontánez 2 years here in Euroop
cool
and when it will be on sale and where to buy?
+Александр Балакирев it's been available at the home depot since before this video was made
+Tool Craze just I'm from Russia and we have until it's gone. so I have to ask where to buy?
+Александр Балакирев sold at the home depot
Let me give everybody a little bit please in Canada at the Home Depot Ryobi ,..P261...1/2 inch impact WRENCH ... is listed at Canadian Home Depot price $ 165 just the tool. If you can even get it at Home Depot a lot of the tools from Ryobi that are supposed to go to Home Depot are either out of stock or they will not order them I know I’ve been looking mostly for Milwaukee but I have a few batteries and tools..from RYOBI so I’m knocking FOR THE ..P261 impact wrench not having any luck from the Home Depot‘s in my city they are out of stock they will not order any you cannot go to the courtesy desk and order them and have them delivered this is not what they do anymore you can thank Government COVID-19 scam for this no the Home Depot this is their way to scam you so they do not have to order the tools you were looking for and the tools are not in the stores anymore the best place to buy the tools now or in the USA because it looks like the videos on RUclips recently people are.. posting from Home Depot buying tools like Ryobi Our best to buy in the USA Ryobi tools coming into Canada is a big scam I know I’ve been looking for them maybe one day when this COVID-19 bullshit is ended and someone has the brains to get together with RYOBI AND Home Depot to start bringing in tools again because right now to find a tour at the Home Depot is hard and now Ryobi has no raise the rates on Ryobi tools. You could buy a 4:tool kit.. two batteries a bag and a charger at the Home Depot before COVID-19 price was$199. Canadian now after COVID-19 government scam price is going up same kit sometimes at$249. Canadian and I’ve also seen the same kit at the Home Depot when it was there$299 Canadian so you tell me if Ryobi is supposed to be the handyman to why are you at pro level tool.price The price is for a RYOBI Are the same price as Dewalt that is the pro level tool Milwaukee double pro level tool these are the tools that should be up there with the high price but now you have Ryobi that is the lowman get it done sometimes on the weekend handyman tool should not be at pro level price. So what I’m trying to say if you are Ryobi do you not try to put yourself into the pro level tool Ryobi tools have not made it that good to be there. Ryobi should be in the same category in price as Black & Decker. So black and decker.and Ryobi are the cheapest handyman tool to buy but they are now priced at pro level tool pricing. Figure this one out
today $99 home depot with battery and charger
Nice!
Get rid of that jack.
You are going to get injured and damage your vehicle.
Did you uhhh forget to buy washers for your lags? lol
Beautiful wall color. 🤮 Good review.
Why thank you. How about you post a video so others can criticize...
Power is not torque.
power, torque, performance can and often are used interchangeably
You are leaning your head too much while talking. . Good review.
be care fu with your fingers javy..........
+Arturo Carrasco I am bro
buy a rigid impact wrench Rigid makes a better tool and better batteries.
Did you know Ryobi and Ridgid are both made by TTI?
dewalt is made by the same copy that makes black and decker. dewalt is a better tool
@@ToolCraze
Did you think I didn't know that? The parent company is called Stanley Black and Decker. Check out my website www.toolcraze.net if you want to learn more about tools
This tool is garbage it couldn't even take off my lugnuts
use the 4ah battery, it won't do it with the smaller batteries
Awesome tool love it
