With the DVD of Sunday for Sammy just being released, our film, ‘Round Here' is finally available to watch online!
As the opening of S4S 2020 show, we had the task of bringing the wonderful, whimsical words of North East poet Scott Tyrrell to life, set to the rousing music of Alexander Proudlock.
Starring North East legend Tim Healy, The film starred a host of terrific talented people from around the region, who came forward in their droves to help us produce the film in such a short window of time!
We'd just like to say thank you to absolutely everyone who got in touch, appeared in the film, helped us with props, locations, and anything at all that in some way helped us to achieve the film back in the Winter of 2020, just before the world went inside for 5 months.
We recall people talking about how helpful and communal things started to become when Covid-19 hit, and we all had to come together and look out for one another. But, our experience is that our region already was that way. And that's one of the many reasons that we're so very proud to be from Round Here.
Thanks so much once again, and we hope you all enjoy. If you're from the North East, you may well do, pet...
I am so proud to be a Geordie. He’s not wrong… it’s not always easy, but it’s God’s country and the people are amazing.
This is the longest advert, that doesn't seem like an advert, but is!
I'm from the South East (Essex) but I'm proud to say that I had the opportunity to make some great friends from North East England ( and Scotland too!)
Ias a Glaswegian I have always had a kindredship with the north east of England. They are definitely scots
No, you are Northumbrians
They say that’s Scots are Geordies with their heads kicked in lol. The hardest regiments in the British Army prefer recruits from the North East … and Scotland ✌️
@@kaymorrice8141 I just came to exactly that!
Well at one point in history Newcastle was part of Scotland, so. I guess we're always connected though that between the years 1139-1157
We're definitely closer than to the southern English that's for sure

I'm in New Zealand where the indigenous people recite their ancestry to form connections. I'm starting to understand my own heritage and clips like this help so very much.
Bobby my god i loved that man the most dignified man in football. Memories of the summer of 1990.
Played over 300 games for my club.
Tim healy's great, from the honest genuine warm gritty north-east people.
we are the best of the best, and in shows through days, months and years.
you forgot to mention Ridley Scott and his Brother who went to Hollywood.
Love the tribute to Brandon miss the comedy night at the northumbria in Prudhoe, Brandon and Tim never failed to put a smile on everyone's faces good memories especially of my dad behind the bar and Tim telling to to close my eyes and ears as they where a little bit naughty at times 😂
I've heard Tim Healy is one of the nicest people you could meet and very down to earth which makes a change from the usual Ship in a bottle Celebs who avoid the public most of the time. great video. i hope they have another Sunday for Sammy soon.
He was an absolute gentleman, mate. Really friendly, funny and wonderful to work with. We were fanboying a bit at first because we're enormous fans of his son's music, which he was totally sweet about and, to be honest, I think he was happy for the opportunity to talk about him -- so he's clearly a brilliant Dad as well. Thanks for your lovely comment, my friend!
