Using worm wood and other botanicals at an attempt to make some Absinthe. This more then anything was a great learning experience and I am happy with the way it turned out, I now know a lot more about working with botanicals and the correct amounts so from here on out I see my Absinthe tasting better, and better. I can not wait to make another batch.

Most absinthe is green. There are blue ones too. It comes off the still that way. It's also supposed to "louche" or go cloudy when you add water because the water knocks the oils that are dissolved in the alcohol out of solution. It's usually around 70% alcohol or more.
Are you able to source Petite Wormwood? Artemisia Pontica? I personally thought it was more difficult to obtain than Dittany of Crete.
When are you going to get more shirts? I would have bought one but it says you are out of stock right now.
When you start out saying it's Fu(%ed and you're guessing at ingredients, a wikipedia recipe. There's a reason why its not a stable drink, your have to be a Unicorn to drink it. Remember what happened to Lance from Moonshiners drank it, and he thought he had it right. Keep pest away from the house with it, watch the children and dogs. That's Medicine son...🤣After dinner digestive...🤣 Wanna be a Witch Doctor 🤣. This the funniest video Ive seen in some time LMAO you made my day.
Nice to see that my 3g isn't the only one that dances as it heats up.
Wouldn't you get most of your alcohol back if you distilled it on the botanicals? Similar to "on the grain?" I did that with my sassafras gin-like and it worked fine. Not sure about doing it with an element. I use propane and propane paraphernalia. 😉
This was awesome
so um. Dittany of Crete can be found on Amazon
Awesome
Looks good , drink it , I need to try this
My new favorite channel! Hahaha ha. 😂😂😂😂😂
Crazy man. I gave it a try. I'm not sure I like it. Botanicals are a pain in the ass man. I give up. I'm not into it. It's tough to get over the Mugworts. I use it much less. I'm gonna run the last of my Wormwood. Color with weed, ha ha. Right of passage.
I'll bet it was 4oz of worm wood
I’m pretty sure the color came from the herbs in the thumper. Great run though man keep up the amazing work!
But looks great
At 4:12 LMFAO!
😂 does it stay like cow pies? I personally don't know.
Heeey my favorite alcohol.
Neat
Sorry, i had to giggle a little when you tasted it. Hahaha
Ouzo
just pour it in a green bottle lol
yikes dont trust wiki that much lol ...........
Keep it. Don't color it.
Make a run and don't color it and I would think it would taste a lot better!
No sound my man
Astro-projection?? That's exactly how the Astros won the 2019 World Series. Hate 'em.
Thanks man! That was my first Absinthe also I'm glad you liked it some!
I wanna see u trip
I laughed so hard as soon as you dipped your finger in there. I know what you experienced. 🤣😨
You drink enough of this your gonna project something😂😂
Ur also supposed to use a absinthe dripper to get the right taste and color
because anyone can edit wikipedia, i never use recipes from there. that might be the problem. ALSO it may be true that instead of calumut root, it was supposed to be cannabis. i know that the annointing oil used in the holy of holys by the old testament preists was made with cannabis, and the translators tried to change it to calamut reed. if you read the description of it in the ancient hebrew, it clearly can only be cannabis. just a thought. keep it up love your videos if i haven't suscribed yet i am now.

Wow, I just watched Still it’s video about 2 nights ago when he interviewed Allan Bishop, and kinda got a pretty good idea about how to make Absinthe, and Alan Bishop is one interesting dude. I think the Still It Dude’s name is Jeremy, he does a pretty good job in the interview, because you always learn a lot more from someone like Alan by just shutting up, and letting him talk. And that dude is wealth of knowledge ! If anyone else has made a video on making Absinthe I haven’t seen it, so I’m glad you gave it your best shot and put it out here. One thing I’ve always liked about you, you show the good, the bad, and the ugly. It is what it is, and if and when any of us do make a mistake, it’s nice to learn from each other. Thanks Phil!!! Keep doing what you’re doing Brother!!
It's supposed to be green
🤔
yeah, you dont light absinthe on fire... sugar is also optional... all you do is slow-drip cold water into it. 1 part absinthe, 4 to 5 parts water. it should louche, and turn milky looking.
It get cloudy when its diluted.
Perhaps if you make it high proof the cloudyness will dissapear...
Drink it
And you should have checked to see what color it chanfes to adding a little water to it. If it turned cloudy you had it. It doesn't have to be green.
I made alcohol to run my lawn mower with grass clippings and it looked better than that:)
AWESOME 🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽
keep up the good work
Enjoying every moment 😊
Yeah medicine grandpas cough medicine
Shit, I would love to try it!
That was damn good.
Looks tasty! I'd enjoy it!
I think puffdaddy on something 🤔
I've seen all of these except the " Ditny of creet"? In hippie/witch supply stores. The others are not too hard to find, they are just hard to find in that quantity. The shops ive seen sell one ounce bags of herbs. Ive never even heard of " ditny of creet". 😂
Dittany of Crete
Cool I like old smoky moonshine my self never tried absinthe before
