This is my epic journey through the classic old Minecraft modpack called Gregtech: New Horizons aka GTNH
But instead of playing it in a normal world, I'm playing it in a void world starting out with nothing...
Yup!
Literally, NOTHING!!!
The challenge is called "Garden of Grind"
I'm playing and recording this through the Prism Minecraft modpack Launcher.

Got a heart attack because I told some other youtuber who does entire modpacks in 1 video "Gregtech when?" as a meme a while back and you saying that this was an Alt account made me have to quickly sift through my history to see if you were the same guy. Good luck

that series will end after 600 episodes, not even halfway finished, and each video will have 3 hours length

This is definetly a series i will enjoy watching but at NO TIME will I consider to do a play-along!! 😀
the grindiest thing I did so far was to play a pack (and finished it) that intends to use EMC and didn't use any.
The grind is VERY real with this one!

Never touched greg tech, but while playing ATM i saw some of the crafting trees and immediately went "NOPE, ABSOLUTELY NOT" im hyped to watch this absolute suffering though.
I just head about Garden of Grind yesterday, hype for the playthrough

Was it this episode? The question was asked about losing EXP instead of dying? That's an enchant on the armor "last stand" and is MASSIVELY useful in the endgame. Early on, not as much, but if it streaches how long you can go without food, worth it.

randomly stumbled upon this and got the shock of my life when you started talking lmao
Make a super flat world with one layer of tnt and one layer of pressure plates if making a true sky block is too taxing. Moment you spawn in, the tnt you stepped on will go boom. For extra fun, put dirt under the tnt so the whole thing blows up almost immediately. At the very least, it will be a sight to behold.
I think two layers of tnt can do the same. Not sure. As you continue to progress, more unloaded tnt could still be primed to blow. A fun little surprise.

I usually watch 100 days hardcore or people that so hardcore world's but I feel like this is much better content!!!

When I first saw this, I was like: "Oooh! This looks interesting, I wanna try", but after thinking for a few seconds, I changed my mind XD I'm already struggling a lot with Nomifactory XD I don't want to attempt this, until I beat at least one Gregtech modpack 8)

11:25 Not sure if you’re aware by now, but to be clear, not only is the quest book allowed, it is mandatory. A few resources are only obtainable as quest rewards (or locked behind requiring themselves), like a flawless diamond for the MV lathe.
You get hard blocked at the nether portal quest though, right?
@@KaneYork For now (an update to the pack might allow for other dimensions to be visited soon-ish) presumably, but the quests that ARE required aren’t gated behind it. You need to buy diamond ore for the flawless diamond and some hives to get bees.

I would like to play but confused on the start up. I have curse forge and understand how to download the mod pack but dont understand the set up within the game? can someone help?
How did you get gravestones to break so quickly? Is there a config setting or has something changed 😭

I do remember them taking a while to break in 2.3.0 but as of the latest versions they do break instantly by default.

Not sure who that is, but I’ll have a look.
But my inspiration came from playing the pack as intended(cause I had time, I’m normally playing/creating bedrock content)then at the end of chapter one the pack said if you’re crazy enough you should try Skyblock.
So I did some research…discovered Garden of Grind was a thing and did further research and testing etc…
Became hooked and, well just hit record.

That dude seems crazier than me though, I don’t really want to watch it as it might make me get ideas(or start again haha)
But from what I have watched, it isn’t the same as GoG
They seem to be using quest rewards if I’m not mistaken and other things which aren’t “technically” allowed in this challenge run…

Never touched the pack myself but love watching people play it (threefold for example), glad I stumbled across two people doing a similar challenge but with different rule sets.
