The Bounty Hunter had one of the most unique styles in boxing history but in his prime it was highly effective and he completely neutralized some great fighters. Known only realy to boxing purist, this guy flys under the radar primarily. Augustus deservedly became a internet sensation. Possibly because his career was more recent.
I had never heard of this guy before! I like boxing styles like these with the slick head and foot movement that only a select few can make look effortless. Hunter reminds me of a heavyweight version of Emanuel Augustus.
Great upload! Perhaps not great, but a great showman. Hamed, Jones, Augustus, Loma, Ali, Leonard could showboat. Imo Hunter was the best. He was legit world class fighter and beat a number of champions and contenders.

naduce Ues I have amd there are allways those guys at the gym who have tremendous talent and beat everybody, but do not like putting in the hard work! Yes you can reach that level with talent and just enough training to keep your body looking good at least! But its diddicult becoming a world champ!

haNZAgod bro, much more highlights please.
Is it @mail.com or @gmail.com
Simliar style to jersey Joe walcott...
@@paulis4278 good call, totally unconventional.
What a wicked style to have for a HW. Great video mate...he's a new one for me.
He's an absolute genius ! I don't understand why he isn't more popular 👊
Because he never fought for the heavyweight title.
Because he's dead maybe?
He did have his share of runs with relatively minor titles, but even leading to his death in 2006, drugs made up a serious part of his demise.
@@GreatMewtwowhat drugs
He almost looked like a heavyweight version of Emanuel Augustus.

I was thinking that. You beat me to it lol. Small glimpse of "Sweet pea" aswell.
@@greylynn-snakevenom113glc7 my first thoughts too
You beat me to the punch, I was thinking the same thing!
Nahh bro wrong person ,, he’s a little similar to pernell Whitaker
I really appreciate u doing highlights on fighters that aren’t in the main stream. Love finding new old school names to study!
It's nice to see us Hunter's represented

His son whilst not being as slick as his father also has good survival instincts, he can dig deep and is tough to break down as an opponent.
Wow what talent
Rest in Power Mike.
Thank you !
this fella fought in the second greatest era of the heavyweight division, the 90's
I remember watching him , unique defense
Brilliant video, thanks.
One of the best nicknames

Yep.
jup
Rockstar 1996 yes bro.
I saw him fight live in Australia against Jimmy Thunder and Jose Flores Burlon. I met him at the fights, he seemed like a nice guy.
I remember training with him at tru boxing. Great guy
Superman Bounty Hunter❤️
He riminds me Emmanuel Augustus, the drunken master...great doing this in the hw division 😂👍
Pinklon and Thunder both had no answer for this Man's style
Song name?
Can you do Humberto Soto a slick veteran or Richard Commey who blast everybody
Remember watching him spare at Fitzroy stars
Mike Hunter vs Roy Jones would of been a great fight
His son fights the same way
Can definitely see his sons style in him very similar
Never heard of him but looks great
Emanuel Augusta of the Heavyweight Division?..T.
Can u imagine hunter v Tyson Fury
Tyson fury before Tyson fury
Only reason I heard of him is he fought and beat a pro from our hometown, Cecil coffee
yeah its always best to leave the knockout blows for the end
Is his son the current heavyweight contender Michael Hunter ?
Yeah

His sons style is kinda similar. The same type of effective awkwardness!
What’s his sons name
@@minds777 Michael Hunter
Boy wet and slippery like 2 pairs of spaghetti in boxing boots
Another person killed by cops
Reminds me of Tyson Fury, or a an aliexpress version of Muhammad Ali

Even Usyk had problems with this style.
That's his father 😂
@Sudarshan Aravamudhan Yes, and Usyk fought his son you fool.
I BET IN-FIGHTING WAS HIS KRYPTONITE
He was actually quite good on the inside he knew all the tricks of the trade. His main problem was his dedication to training.

This dude has the weirdest style I’ve ever seen, however he uses it to his advantage perfectly.
Looks like he loved boxing...but hated training!
You can't reach this level without training. Have you ever practiced boxing ?

Actually the problem was he was a cruiserweight but ate to make heavyweight cause the money was so much bigger.
Micah Johnson Boxing the problem was all the cocaine
