I appreciate you buddy! Thanks for doing the video! To some of the comments that they don’t know if they could spend that kind of money on a new vehicle, I did it for my mom since she passed away in January. I ordered this car the day I got the news on December 28th she was admitted to the hospital. I always promised her I’d get a brand new mustang and I kept my promise. Just sucks she’s not here to see what her boy accomplished and worked his ass off for. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea but it’s everything I’ve wanted since the 10 speeds came out. I love the car and everyone that has taken the time to comment about it! Big should out to you Shannon!! Without your support and pushing me to get one probably wouldn’t have!

Thanks for the video! I’m a 38 year old mechanic daily driving a 2002 Mustang GT and seeing I have three sons 17,5 and 2 the chances of me upgrading my 02 to a 22 is slim to none but watching Brett taking delivery of that beautiful mustang is exciting
New edge mustangs sound wonderful when done right and with enough love and devotion can be solid 12 sec N/A cars easy. Don't be so hard on yourself chief. 2v 4.6 is an under-appreciated engine imo. Sounds like you're a good father pass on that knowledge to them and you're leaving your legacy on the world.

@@kskip4242 Thanks for the genuine comment. I appreciate it. I definitely take pride in the car and it has a special story. I just finished doing new timing chains, tensioners and guides. It’s running like a top.

The new mustang is an awesome car but I can't bring myself to spend that kind of money either but I have a few older mustangs that I really enjoy. For about 5k I did a swap on my sons car I took a 98 mark 8 engine freshened up the bottom end put a set of 02 B heads on it a Mach 1 intake and tuned it then I installed 373s. The car is a replica 98 cobra and it's a fun car. I haven't had it to the track yet but I'm guessing it will run in the 12s. Fun car for not a lot of money. It's about having fun not spending money
I just got 2022 GT on June 2nd. Ordered it Jan 3rd of this year. GT Premium, 401a, Performance Pack, B&O Stereo, Active exhaust, Magneride. Mine was ordered in shadow black with showstopper red interior. I didn't get the Recaros because I need cooled seats, living in Texas. Awesome car! Congratulations!

I did a custom order on a 2022 GT also. Its amazing when you have a vision how you want the car to look and it gets created. I love the idea of custom ordering and hope its something that will stay with us.

I know this feeling. I took delivery of my custom ordered Rapid Red Mustang GT on 6/10. My car’s sticker is dated 5/18. I opted for standard seats & manual transmission, otherwise loaded. The car is awesome.

Amazing car amazing color. I remember taking a picture of it once and my friends kept saying it was Blue, because that’s how it turned out in the picture.

Fantastic color for a car I gotta admit it's one hell of a beast. I just picked up one in January myself when checking the lot I missed it completely thinking it was black. Upon talking to the guy he hit me up with "We got a purple color with what your looking for let me grab the keys." Grabbed this one at 8 miles on the dash for 43k with the manual transmission. I wonder how many were produced under this color the number is probably astronomically low which is a nice value boost for ownership. I'm happy for you man enjoy every smiles per gallon you get out of it!

Have a 22 convertible on order in Mischievous Purple. CAN NOT wait for it to arrive. Sept 12 build date, sure hope that date doesn’t get pushed out. I even offered to pick the car up at the factory, since it’s only 30 minutes away. No go said the salesman.

@@cobrabuilt thank you. Can’t wait! And I soooooo appreciated the comment about the seats - I’ve never really used my heated/cooling seats in the past (so overrated!) and opted for the Recaros here. I’ll post when I’ve got him in hand.
You will miss driving the manual but the 10 speed is quick! Also that first pull I’m sure has 87 octane in the tank from dealership. Once you put 93 That bad boy will move out.

I just ordered a 22 GT cali special in michevious purple with the 401a, performance pack, and 10 speed auto was able to get mine for 47k. Was even told it may only take 3 months so I’m super excited! This video made me even more excited because you truly showed off that color

Kona Blue is a lighter color blue metalic.. My 2019 Ford Mustang GT PP1 Kona blue shows purple. Some blue. Looks black in dark areas. Very Kool.. Like your Mischievous Purple too!

I have the a 2020 Kona Blue mustang. I would say the blue is more prominent and vibrant but at night it looks almost black. I have even caught some glimpse of purple under noon sunlight. Mischievous purple must have been the replacement for the Kona blue this last year of this generation of Mustangs.

It was way off but that’s because the plan shut down like 3 different times lol

Great vid, i just subscribed.. Needed some advice. I'm ordering 2022 Roush in September, convertible, manual. I had '89 fox body 30 years ago and 2001 GT 20 yrs ago. Now after 3 kids, 47yrs old, I'm coming back into the mustang world. I always had manual. With the Roush, I feel like manual is more fun. Do you think it's the right choice?

Nice GT! ordered a 2022 Eruption Green Mach1 Premium with Handling Pack and Automatic back in November. It got built last week and is in transit to my dealer, can't wait. Been almost 9 months of waiting!

@@cobrabuilt Yep, they came up with some really cool colors for MY2022, and then they are going away. Colors for MY2023 are white, black, silver, grays, blues and reds, period.🙁 No green, orange, yellow, purple, etc.
I got a 2022 GT premium with carbonized grey and black accent package. It has the 10R80 and in sport mode on the highway it takes off like a bullet. I haven’t done too much other than a mustang trunk mat (can’t believe it didn’t come with one) Steeda trunk pop kit, tint, and mustang windshield shade. I think my next mods will be a hood strut kit, lowering springs, and a resonator delete. Nice color and enjoy your new ride brother.

Nice man I traded my 17 gt same color for a gt350 I wanted a 22 but they came with less hp 10-15hp compared to 21s epa deal.. but this color is sick! Congrats kinda reminds me of the r34 midnight purple
Yeah they’re 10 less hp but it’s in the tune. Still runs the same exact 1/4 mile time as a 18-21
That paint needs a paint correction and ceramic coating but that paint is sick. My favorite color for 2022.

That mischievous purple is very similar to my Kona Blue Mustang. It looks almost black at night but in broad daylight is dark navy blue.
Definitely wish ford woulda made it more noticeable especially at night but still a bad ass color
@@cobrabuilt agreed! Luckily we have very different tail lights. For that safety reason, I think I'm opting out of a shadow black GT for a cyber orange one with black race stripes instead.

I’m new to the muscle world. having trouble deciding which to go I’m coming from luxury Mercedes. Either want a newer mustang gt 10 speed or a newer scat pack. I plan on modding either one I get

They come with anywhere from 15-30 miles from factory testing

Fun fact, did you know the 5.0 in the 2022 model is not the same as the 2018-2021??? It's down a full point of compression, and smaller bores and the 2022 can't be tuned. Congratulations, you bought the least desirable S550 on the planet.
