- The Buccaneers turned their season around to win the Nedbank Cup trophy.
It was a back-to-back success for Riveiro’s team over the weekend after they lifted the Nedbank Cup trophy.
The Buccaneers came from behind to secure a 2-1 win over Mamelodi Sundowns.
Relebohile Mofokeng sealed the win for the team in stoppage time.
Speaking to Robert Marawa on Marawa Sports Worldwide, Coach Jose Riveiro says he wasn’t even aware the team had won the game.

When the coach spoke about players from the development those players used to be ball boys and aspire to play for the first team one day so when that happen time comes and the opportunity granted those boys they will give that extra thing not any other player will give inside the pitch they figth to the end cause they are chasing their dreams ,so this Coach is a top coach who assemble a team that mixes young player and older players they can combine bigs up to him and the Pirates technical team for job welldone i believe in him the first game i saw his team play from Khosi nation this Coach will leave a great mark in our football and we will benefit in a long run
