Question.. if your using a low shelf to cut... are you not automatically "boosting" the high end? or vise versa? so you wouldn't necessarily have to boost the other end?
No you’re not but it may make the high end stand out a bit more by providing the low end tracks to stand out more and give space. Think of it like energy. You shift one are it opens up another. If you want to boost the high end you’d have to use another band and shelf it or bell curve boost for example.
