There are scores of videos here on RUclips showing you how to install Mouse Toggle on the Firestick but I couldn't find even one which acknowledges that Mouse Toggle simply doesn't work with Fire OS 8.1. Its say connection failed.. try re enabling ADB Debugging in settings.ensure no other app is using adb. Please install any pending system updates... sorry but i didnt know how to do it ..thank you for helping

Amazon just blocked local app ADB connections... so this tool is probably dead forever now.

Hi Dr I've installed all 3 apps on my Fire TV Cuba but every time I try to use the accessibility manager I get 'Connection Failed' Try re-enabling ADB debugging in Settings. Ensure no other app is using adb. Disconnect your PC if connected via adb. Please install any pending System Updates. There is no app using adb - no PC is connected and all system updates are installed. ADB is on. Can you please help? Thanks

Hi TDUK, obviously a very good video once again acc. to this feedback.
Unfortunately I end at step 'Open Accessibility Mgr' (~4:00) with the msg 'Connection failed: Try re-enabling ADB Debugging in Settings. Ensure no other App is using adb...' Debugging is confirmed ON, multiple reboots of FTVS, no success. Any idea what could be the problem? Can I check if any other App is using/blocking ADB?

Amazon just blocked apps from connecting to ADB locally. ADB connections can only be made from remote devices now. Many, many powerful utilities like this one are now dead.
This womt work anymore since the latest Firestick update blocked local ADB connections.
This has made several if my apps now unusable. Absolute tossers.

Any updates on custom launcher (launcher manager) for the 2nd generation fire sticks? Manage to install on a 2nd generation fire tv max but can't get it to work on other 2nd generation sticks..it flashes at the bottom some kind of error regarding package or something

I am using Android ADB Mouse Keyboard from the Google playstore on my phone to use a virtual mouse on my 2nd gen fs max.
On your website when I do it on my Fire TV to downloads aren't there only the mouse download is there not the other two
Anyway around the new update blocking local ADB connections to get this working?

@@michaeljackman280MVP right here! Great tip! I was using a bt mouse being ADB has been gone locally for a while then it worked on the new devices temporarily until it was patched yet again. Now , I use this apk and its great! Appreciate ya dude !

Is this only for the 4K max 2nd generation
Both my 4k firestick max mouse toggles not working installed new version old version nothing working was working yesterday on both now nothing
I suspect this method has been blocked by the recent Amazon updates which blocked local ADB access. You can still connect to ADB from another device but not from any app installed on the device itself. I have 7 FS4Ks, 2 Amazon Omni FireTV Editions sets, and one 2nd-gen FS4K Max, but Amazon just succeeded in pushing me to ONN boxes instead.
Can't turn on overlay permissions latest 4k max stick latest update ect it just brings up a description won't actually turn it on? Any ideas

Good morning, I followed the video to the letter. Eventually on my 2gen 4k firestick. I see the mouse cursor (the big hand) but it doesn't select anything. Adb and unknown sources are on. What could I have done wrong? Thank you.
You say you've got 'Unknown Sources' on .... but do you have 'ADB Debugging' toggled on?
This Mouse Toggle app requires it.

It’s working🎉 but there’s a bug. When in mouse mode it doesn’t completely get out of Dpad mode. In mouse mode when we click on select, it clicks on last spot when dpad was disabled. How to turn that off?
Been using this perfectly for a few months but just noticed today I can no longer click on anything. Not sure what changed, tried deleting and starting over from scratch but can't get the mouse to click. Everything still says granted or running in green so not sure what to change

But for only a few dollars more, he would be foolish not to get the 2nd Gen 4K MAX ... which has TWICE the memory (16 GB, for first time ever and crucial!) ... 'Enhanced Remote' (much nicer) ... 'Ambiant Experience' (meh) ... and whatever. NO BRAINER!
And was down from $60 retail to $40 during Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales. Probably will have semi-frequent sales, as is typical ... otherwise Prime Day(s) and the aforementioned at end of November.
