- A cheap and effective herald build for general open world PvE and story. For just 5 gold, you can gear up a potent build for the vast majority of open world content.
A small note about relics: They are expensive, and so I don't include one on this build, but you are free to run one if you have one on your character to use.

I think it's worth mentioning that if you have a little more budget, the named exotic sets are still exceedingly cheap. At least for the light and heavy armor the berserker sets (Zhed's and Davona) are both super cheap and end game viable. The medium set is a bit more expensive because of the runes it comes with.
Exotics are a pretty huge increase for almost no extra gold and you get things like free sigils and runes. You should not be buying the crafted gear (or crafting the exotic armor/weapons) anyways.
Great idea on the video , however I have one remark to make ...
When I played on a fresh account back in 2021, I reached lvl 80 with around 5 gold and I was able to buy full exotic berzerker set (Named one). Weapons + Runes/Sigils were for ~ 5gold as well and the trinkets were another 5 gold .
The reason why I`m saying that is because it took me 3 days to gear fresh account without actually being 100% sure what I`m doing with Exotic gear (better than rare). I`m only saying that ,because I think the target audience will be able to easilly get better gear than what you are showing and moving forward you might want to consider it .

While you're leveling, I would just use the gear you acquire naturally.

If you're not absolutely gimped for gold, do the steps in the video and go for exotics, sort low to high and it's about gold a piece (right now that is). Gear that's specifically named after the stats is always much more expensive so you wanna go for the named variants.
For open world you can trade some stats for vitality or toughness if you feel like it and have a much more enjoyable time doing stuff solo. you dont really wanna trade power or condi damage too much but still, going to HoT you're gonna have a rude awakening to positioning and dodging.
You can get a full set of exotic berserker armor for karma in Orr after the temple of grenth has been cleansed.
hundreds of thousands of karma for 1 exotic berserker set is not a good deal.
