I honestly like Kimi's personality, her personal bond with Chuckie, her actually enjoying hanging out with Angelica, her personal friendship with Suzie in all grown up, and even her having a crush on Tommy. I honestly don't think I like Kimi's change in the rugrats reboot though, but I am glad she's in it at all.
I liked her bond with Chuckie too, she was so happy to have new big brother 😊 I don't like her change in the reboot either. I would have preferred if she was Chuckie's sister again.
@@DialUpDigest yeah, so far they've aged down Susie and aged up Kimi and separated her from Chuckie's family. Makes me wonder what they're gonna do with Dil if they're even gonna introduce him at all.
Something I've come to appreciate is that Chaz never refers to Kimi as his stepdaughter, but just his daughter. Likewise, Kira sees Chucky as her son. They can often be important in mixed families.
My favorite Kimi moments was when she was adopted by Chaz, the beginning of Chuckie being a brother, and when her and Chuckie were crying together in that last part. That part was very touching and showed how close they really are.

It was so cool seeing Kira and Hiro on such good terms with each other. It's rare to see a depiction of a seperated couple that stay good friends, and there being no family drama at all.
I think Kimi is one of the characters who didn't completely destroy the series when introduced and was pretty likable, unlike Chloe from the Fairly Oddparents.
Kimi was always my favorite of the main Rugrats. I don't know why but ever since I was a kid the episodes with her were my favorites. Also, for the next analysis can you do Grandpa Lou?
Kimi was the cute step-sister to Chuckie and helped him along the way. I also loved how her mother became Chuckie's step-mother and Chuckie never seemed to favor his birth mother over her.
Didn't Kira become Chuckie's actual mother, I mean, even legally? I believe Chaz adopted Kimi and Kira adopted Chuckie, though I may be remembering wrong.
Kimi was always a unique character on she was kind ,honest and brave she definitely a good addition to the group I remember a while back just maybe last year I binge watched all grown up I remember watching the first season when I was younger but I never got to see season 2 or 3 that much cuz they changed our style slightly I remember seeing one episode trading places Kimi dealing with a lot of emotions it was like she was having an identity crisis to me trying to figure out her place in the world I want everything that's going on I mean she was a teenager at that point and everyone is going to wonder what they're going to do with my life I know everybody has and it was good character development anyway I did love Kimi her introduction into the second Rugrats movie and I just recently watched it and like a month ago go ahead and binge watch everything about Kimi and the rest of the Rugrats crew I'm Paramount Plus I tried the one week free trial and it was awesome $5 you get everything $10 commercial free I enjoyed my time watching my favorite shows on the network go ahead and take a ride on to nostalgia land.
I find Kimi to be much more interesting in All Grown Up than Rugrats. Since she was her own character rather than being a more impulsive female version of Tommy. Also, I don’t blame her for having jealously of her new half sibling. Since unfortunately in real life, kids are abandoned by at least one of their parents because of their younger half siblings.
@@sophiebyers5496 So let me get this straight, Kimi has a Step & Adoptive brother Chuckie who is a mix of both. While Chuckie not only has a new step-mother, but a new Step & Adoptive Sister as well. Chaz was a widower after the death of his Wife Melinda, and Kira was divorced with her Ex-husband Hiro. After Chaz and Kira got married as Husband and Wife, then Chaz's son Chuckie and Kira's daughter Kimi are Step-siblings, and then Kira adopts her step-son Chuckie, while Chaz adopts his step-daughter Kimi, Now both Chuckie and Kimi are now in a big mixture of the 2 of them both being identified as both step-siblings and adoptive siblings on both of their step-parental sides, And Kira's ex-husband who is also Kimi's Biological Father Hiro, whom is later then remarried to another woman and has another baby with his new wife Wanda, who is Kimi's step-mother, from her biological father. And their daughter Kiki is Kimi's half-Sister. And I guess Hiro could be considered Chuckie's Step-father, although I don't know if that would make Wanda Chuckie's step-mother. Since Kira is already Chuckie's step-mother. Since she married his Dad. And also if Kiki could somewhat be Chuckie's Step-sister or maybe even His half-sister as well. But that gets kinda confusing. Here and there, just a bit! Another Theory is: Even though Chuckie's biological mother and yet his late mother Melinda is deceased, and remaining up in heaven, maybe she could possibly be remarried with another man up in the afterlife. (Who would also be considered Chuckie's Step-dad as well). And that maybe they however also have a child together as well. Which would also give Chuckie a half-sibling as well from his biological maternal late mother's side. And that could be the same thing as the other way around for Kimi as well. There are just so many confusing details in the whole Finster-Watanabe family. But at the same time, it's just all very fascinating details, that are all put into it altogether for the whole matters of their whole Finster-Watanabe "Family Tree" dynamics for all those details explained. However, what does all of that sound like to you? And what do you think of all those details all put into the whole Finster-Watanabe family? Let me know! I'd love to hear other thoughts and prospectives from this whole thing with all that being said and explained.
Wow! 11 paragraphs for that whole very long comment! I'm sorry if that was just "way" too long for you to read and catch up on. I just didn't realize how very long that entire comment was going to be til after I hit send, and then just read it all to myself after that... but I just wanted to explain all of that in organized details through all of that, and just see if I could get all those Finster-Watanabe of the whole family details just organized in all my cluttered thoughts that from the Rugrats & All grown up, That's been going through to my head ever since I was a child trying to figure all that since I was a kid. And because I haven't watched this show in the entire show's running. Just so nostalgic, and retracing my exact memories from explaining all of that from all that I've said in my first comment.
It's good to know that you're not dead 😆. Kimi & Dil were similar in that they didn't really add much to the original series IMO (especially Dil), but they were definitely fleshed out in All Grown Up. I also wonder if Tommy & Kimi eventually got together (and, if so, how much Chuckie would struggle to eventually accept it)
lol, thanks Ellande! Yes, I'm still here 😆. I agree, Dil and Kimi always seemed like additional characters to the crew and never really felt like a part of the crew to me...I wonder if Kimi got together with Tommy too. I think eventually Chuckie would get over it, lol.

In All grown up where she calls chuckie attractive. Also where she hugs chuckie when he's a superhero. Maybe Susie cuz they had moments (Not as much as Lil and Chuckie). And I have a strong preference for Lil and Chuckie. Also it would be funny o see Phil be mad at chuckie parallel to the Tp + Kf lmao
Great to see more videos on characters from the rugrats after sometime. Kimi definitely was an interesting addition to the group because of how she helped chuckle develop and bought along her own story that was told overtime too.
I think the episode was "TP+KF" where Chuckie thought Tommy wrote his and Kimi's initials and started watching Tommy carefully because he thought he was trying to date Kimi, lol. Then it was revealed Kimi wrote the initials because she used to have a crush on him...but at the end of the episode she looks at Tommy and it seems that she still has a crush on him but is pretending not to. Tommy also looks at Kimi so maybe it was mutual? That was a dramatic episode lol
she was one of my favorites when i was a kid! her character design and voice are just so cute, and the whole storyline of how she became part of chuckie's family is super heartwarming 💕
Yay you're back! What you said about Kimi not adding anything super significant to the show is why I tend to stop my Rugrats binges after Rugrats in Paris because I wasn't the hugest fan of the "Kimi era". But I do appreciate what she did for Chuckie's character development and felt that her fleshing out in All Grown Up was one of the more interesting things the show did.
I have to admit I had to grow on Kimi because I prefer the original with no addition but she was very cute and adorbale. I did like her in All Grown Up on she changed her hair and became rebellious. My favorite episode is when she had a crush on Z.
OMG. Z. I saw those episodes on All Grown-Up and was like: "Yep. We have officially transitioned." Any time you bring a boy to your dad's coffee shop and he goes into an asthma attack? It says a lot. Just saying. Lol.
It’s pretty messed up how Chaz forced Chuckie to “look after” Kimi even though they are only a couple months apart. Also, Chaz spoils Kimi more than Chuckie.
Chaz actually raises them equally with reading to them, praising all the little things they do and giving them advice. There was just that one episode where Chaz and Kira. Kimi was home sick so they wanted to make her as welcome as possible and Chucky mistook for neglect. And whatever he told Chucky to do, Chaz probably didn't think too literally on it since he didn't know the babies could understand him.
Kimi was introduced in a period when the Rugrats program was beginning to feel tired and formulaic, leading to a lot of hit and miss content in the last three seasons and even some of the better episodes had a reoccurring issue of retreading old ground. Clear signs that the program was coming to an end. A shame, because Kimi was a fun addition overall. She was basically an answer to Tommy's personality shifting in Season 6, and was essentially a return to form to his pre-movie days. She was generally a bit more on the careless side and loved to keep up a happy tone far more than any other baby in the program. And of course, the step-sibling relationship was ahead of its time and unlike most children's animated programming that was available. I will say 'Kimi Takes The Cake' is a sweet and poetic way to bring the program to a close.
I feel Kimi was a better addition to the rugrats gang then Dil cause i never thought of him to be a actual character but more of a plot device as he never really did much.
@@DialUpDigest She’s kind of a female version of Tommy in Rugrats, which is something that Chuckie even lampshades in her debut movie of Rugrats In Paris. She and Kira are there to give Chas and Chuckie a story in Rugrats, which is sweet, but they don’t really get stories of their own. In All Grown Up, Kimi and her mother develop more into their own characters with their own stories.
Great to hear from you buddy. It's been awhile. I always liked Kimi, girl has a great attitude and passion for adventures. I'm also glad she loves chazz and chuckie. I have a feeling she'll end up with Tommy and end up having a few kids. You gotta do Charlotte next. Lord knows how the comments about her will come in like miners looking for gold.

I love Kimi she's my favorite character. My favorite episode about her is TP+KF where she has a crush on Tommy. Kimi and Tommy make a good couple they have purple hair and both brave and smart and help Chuckie. I'm sure they do date in High School and got married to eachother in Adulthood.
I would’ve love that the original kimi was also voiced by Shannon Chan-Kent. If only she had the role of kimi at least like a lot of years ago. But I also like Dionne Quan as well. But if Shannon Chan-Kent was also the voice of kimi always i would’ve prefer her and like her too along with Dionne.
Kimi was my favorite character i watched rugrats in paris and through out the series of AGU due to how her personality was being so adventurous creators or rugrats taking that step or adding changes was a wonderful choice so it doesn't drag.
Kimi, Chuckie, Chaz, and Kira literally made this show for me (along with Suzy and Anjelica’s rivalry of course!). I wasn’t surprised at all that their dynamic kept me watching All Grown Up as well. My family’s backstory is actually almost the exact same; My mother’s first husband passed away and then she married my father who’s divorced. I have a sibling on my father’s side who isn’t ready yet to meet the rest of us (I have 3 siblings on my mother’s side who are married and have 2 kids a piece) so Kimi and Chuckie’s story really hit home for me. I find it upsetting that they chose to age Kimi up not in the reboot just because I adore Suzy, but I always thought Suzy was like a big sister figure to Kimi like Anjelica was to Chuckie.
A lot of people say adding Kimi is what killed Rugrats, but the show was basically in the final stages of cancer by then. It was an old show that lost its status as Nick's top show to SpongeBob.
I have never watched the reboot; don’t plan to I’m just not interested so I’m not sure how I feel about the change they’ve made to her. On one hand I don’t think the change was necessary, they could have had Susie in her role, and it would fit better in my opinion, on the other hand I’ve accepted that the reboot is well... a reboot, they’re using the same characters, but they have made some changes to them, they may have different roles or personalities or something like that so that they could connect with modern world. I guess I don’t like the change but it’s not terrible and it’s a probably less controversial than what the reboot did to Betty, which I’ll get into if you do a video on her.

Even though I haven’t watched Rugrats in a long time since I was a kid, right now, I kind of prefer the original Rugrats series over the reboot (especially Kimi era) and I pretend that the reboot doesn’t exist 😂😌
Babe wake up, new Dial Up Digest video just dropped. On that note, I never recalled caring much for Kimi in the OG rugrats. I liked episodes where Suzie showed up more. But I do remember liking her a lot in All Grown Up. Especially the ep where she was like "oh my god... I'M JAPANESE!!" And Chuckie being like "You JUST figured that out?!"

She was always my favorite character on Rugrats even in all grown up. But the reboot yeah I don’t like the reboot changes it would’ve been just better they kept her the same age as Chuckie instead Susie being the same age in Angelica yeah that’s the only thing I’m disappointed with.
Kimi probably was the first Asian American female main character I saw on tv (i'm asian american). That was really cool. I don't know how many kids shows nowadays have asian female leads but back then it was big.
Long time ago! I Haven’t been watching that show back in when i was little and I like Kimi!! Because she was so cute, adorable and one of the best character I ever have!
I actually like Kimi in both Rugrats (1991) and All grown up. I don't think I'll ever understand the hate she gets as a baby by many rugrats fans. I think as a baby, she was both sweet and adorable in my opinion. And no one will ever convince me otherwise. Please respect my opinion of her. Thank you very much.
Kimi definitely came her own in All grown up, except for the pilot where she only spoke three times, but likely because they never had a full idea of her character. Haven't seen the reboot yet, but I think they made her 3 was to give her two things Change the dynamic to give her more character Be someone who can't be easily manipulated by Angelica 's lies but still along for the ride Plus now Chuckie is the little bro now
Usually, characters added to an established group to "promote diversity" usually arenot popular with audiences and wear out their welcome. With Kimi it was different, as Chuckie desperately needed support after losing his blood mother as a newborn, and getting a new mother and sister was everything he needed and more. (Yes, Kira is legally Chuckie's mother and Kimi is legally his sister, as Chas adopted Himi and Kira adopted Chuckie in "Finsterella".) I really like how the undaunted Kimi acts as a foil to scaredy-cat Chuckie, who works great as an overprotective worrywart. I thought their sibling relationship was at its best in AGU, with Chuckie doing everything he could to keep Kimi away from people he thought would be dangerous to her. Despite Kimi's annoyance with this at times, the sibling love is still there and I love that.
I'd say Kimi is the only "Smurfette principle" character who actually feels like a necessary addition to the main cast of the show, especially when AGU helped define her as a character. I also love how Chas and Kira adopted the other's child to ensure their kids were full siblings.
Kimi was always adorable. I liked how her favorite toy, Super Thing, was just an oven mitt made into a stuffed plushie. Really shows how creative Kira is since she was the one most likely to have made the toy. Too bad the reboot ruined Kimi like it did every other character.
Kimi reminds me of my niece and Chuckie reminds me of my daughter. Even the hair! Everyone thinks my niece is Korean and she has a big personality. My daughter has big wild hair and is kinda timid like Chuckie. She’s not as outgoing as her cousin. But they’re always right by each other’s side
I liked her inclusion in the original series. It kept Lil from being the token chick. Yes, we had Susie and Angelica but Susie didn't appear in as many episodes as the main cast and Angelica was the antagonist. It added a dynamic and while Kimmy could've been handled better, I'd argue it was because when she came into the picture, the show didn't have as many seasons. Even Dil had more episodes than her and he wasn't even a year old yet. So she wasn't given enough time to stand out as much as the other characters. She was allowed to be more fleshed out in All Grown Up. Honestly, she's my second favorite of the Rugrats after Tommy. I love how she was even more impulsive than Tommy and had traits that kept her from just being a Japanese girl version of Tommy. Not to mention, we all wanted Tommy and Kimi to end up together. I hate what the reboot did to her and Susie, which ruined a lot of what made their characters and dynamics with the other characters to amazing by switching their ages. Kimi doesn't have any of her adventurous and impulsive qualities and lacks the bite that Susie had when facing Angelica.
I can see her going to college in Japan studying fashion. Coming back to America and starting a business... with Angelica. What with Kimi being the only one unphased by Angelica's bullying

I'm really mad about the reboot's retroactive continuity. That's one of the things I absolutely hate about the CGI reboot. They just ruined my favorite Nickelodeon show and abandoned everything from the classic franchise. >:(
I like kimi in the rugrats show and the movies, she’s a good character for chunky as siblings. but what I didn’t like in the new rugrats CGI reboot is that they replaced Susie with kimi to set angelica straight while they aged kimi 3 years older in the rugrats Reboot CGI show.
Read true information about this, and you'll feel better. As far as I'm aware, it is apparently a big problem that Kimi came back before Dil. Ridiculous.
Dam Kimi really wanted that pink hair. The hardest hair type to bleach is corse, thick and dark hair. So Asian hair which Kimi has. It’s also the hair type that will come off your head in clumps if you botched the bleach job. Finer hair tends to hold up to bleach in general. Asian hair also will stop at an orangey color after you bleach it once. It’s really hard to get it to a pale yellow which you would need to be at for a bright pink. So unless you have an amazing lifting bleach which I’m sure exists, Kimi had to bleach her hair twice. Then she had her hair cut and colored. That sounds hella expensive for a pre teen. So saying that she probably had a friend do her hair for her. Usually never goes well but dam they did good considering how difficult Kimi’s hair type is to bleach
I think ageing her in the reboot was a good idea since it seems to be a better fit for her more worldly persona and makes her a slightly better foil for Angelica even if she doesn't mean to be one.
She's sort of a foil, but she's more of a moral guardian to Angelica. She's not like Susie at all, Susie gets into fights with her, but Kimi just tells Angelica to do things right.
That's actually not true. Susie, despite being a little younger, is the same character she used to be. Kimi is Angelica's foil, nothing else. But Susie is still her rival.

And that maybe they however also have a child together as well. Which would also give Chuckie a half-sibling as well from his biological maternal late mother's side. And that could be the same thing as the other way around for Kimi as well.
There are just so many confusing details in the whole Finster-Watanabe family. But at the same time, it's just all very fascinating details, that are all put into it altogether for the whole matters of their whole Finster-Watanabe "Family Tree"

Great to see more videos on characters from the rugrats after sometime. Kimi definitely was an interesting addition to the group because of how she helped chuckle develop and bought along her own story that was told overtime too.
I think Kimi's main contribution to the original show was that she helped chuckie. In AGU is when she really became her own character.

I think the episode was "TP+KF" where Chuckie thought Tommy wrote his and Kimi's initials and started watching Tommy carefully because he thought he was trying to date Kimi, lol. Then it was revealed Kimi wrote the initials because she used to have a crush on him...but at the end of the episode she looks at Tommy and it seems that she still has a crush on him but is pretending not to. Tommy also looks at Kimi so maybe it was mutual? That was a dramatic episode lol

What you said about Kimi not adding anything super significant to the show is why I tend to stop my Rugrats binges after Rugrats in Paris because I wasn't the hugest fan of the "Kimi era". But I do appreciate what she did for Chuckie's character development and felt that her fleshing out in All Grown Up was one of the more interesting things the show did.

It’s pretty messed up how Chaz forced Chuckie to “look after” Kimi even though they are only a couple months apart. Also, Chaz spoils Kimi more than Chuckie.
Chaz actually raises them equally with reading to them, praising all the little things they do and giving them advice. There was just that one episode where Chaz and Kira. Kimi was home sick so they wanted to make her as welcome as possible and Chucky mistook for neglect. And whatever he told Chucky to do, Chaz probably didn't think too literally on it since he didn't know the babies could understand him.

Kimi was introduced in a period when the Rugrats program was beginning to feel tired and formulaic, leading to a lot of hit and miss content in the last three seasons and even some of the better episodes had a reoccurring issue of retreading old ground. Clear signs that the program was coming to an end.
A shame, because Kimi was a fun addition overall. She was basically an answer to Tommy's personality shifting in Season 6, and was essentially a return to form to his pre-movie days. She was generally a bit more on the careless side and loved to keep up a happy tone far more than any other baby in the program. And of course, the step-sibling relationship was ahead of its time and unlike most children's animated programming that was available. I will say 'Kimi Takes The Cake' is a sweet and poetic way to bring the program to a close.
AGU Kimi was as developed as Dil was.
I feel Kimi was a better addition to the rugrats gang then Dil cause i never thought of him to be a actual character but more of a plot device as he never really did much.

She and Kira are there to give Chas and Chuckie a story in Rugrats, which is sweet, but they don’t really get stories of their own. In All Grown Up, Kimi and her mother develop more into their own characters with their own stories.

Kimi was my favorite character i watched rugrats in paris and through out the series of AGU due to how her personality was being so adventurous creators or rugrats taking that step or adding changes was a wonderful choice so it doesn't drag.
Kimi, Chuckie, Chaz, and Kira literally made this show for me (along with Suzy and Anjelica’s rivalry of course!). I wasn’t surprised at all that their dynamic kept me watching All Grown Up as well. My family’s backstory is actually almost the exact same; My mother’s first husband passed away and then she married my father who’s divorced. I have a sibling on my father’s side who isn’t ready yet to meet the rest of us (I have 3 siblings on my mother’s side who are married and have 2 kids a piece) so Kimi and Chuckie’s story really hit home for me. I find it upsetting that they chose to age Kimi up not in the reboot just because I adore Suzy, but I always thought Suzy was like a big sister figure to Kimi like Anjelica was to Chuckie.

I have never watched the reboot; don’t plan to I’m just not interested so I’m not sure how I feel about the change they’ve made to her. On one hand I don’t think the change was necessary, they could have had Susie in her role, and it would fit better in my opinion, on the other hand I’ve accepted that the reboot is well... a reboot, they’re using the same characters, but they have made some changes to them, they may have different roles or personalities or something like that so that they could connect with modern world. I guess I don’t like the change but it’s not terrible and it’s a probably less controversial than what the reboot did to Betty, which I’ll get into if you do a video on her.

She was always my favorite character on Rugrats even in all grown up. But the reboot yeah I don’t like the reboot changes it would’ve been just better they kept her the same age as Chuckie instead Susie being the same age in Angelica yeah that’s the only thing I’m disappointed with.

Kimi probably was the first Asian American female main character I saw on tv (i'm asian american). That was really cool. I don't know how many kids shows nowadays have asian female leads but back then it was big.

Usually, characters added to an established group to "promote diversity" usually arenot popular with audiences and wear out their welcome. With Kimi it was different, as Chuckie desperately needed support after losing his blood mother as a newborn, and getting a new mother and sister was everything he needed and more. (Yes, Kira is legally Chuckie's mother and Kimi is legally his sister, as Chas adopted Himi and Kira adopted Chuckie in "Finsterella".)
I really like how the undaunted Kimi acts as a foil to scaredy-cat Chuckie, who works great as an overprotective worrywart. I thought their sibling relationship was at its best in AGU, with Chuckie doing everything he could to keep Kimi away from people he thought would be dangerous to her. Despite Kimi's annoyance with this at times, the sibling love is still there and I love that.
I'd say Kimi is the only "Smurfette principle" character who actually feels like a necessary addition to the main cast of the show, especially when AGU helped define her as a character. I also love how Chas and Kira adopted the other's child to ensure their kids were full siblings.

Kimi was always adorable. I liked how her favorite toy, Super Thing, was just an oven mitt made into a stuffed plushie. Really shows how creative Kira is since she was the one most likely to have made the toy. Too bad the reboot ruined Kimi like it did every other character.
Kimi reminds me of my niece and Chuckie reminds me of my daughter. Even the hair! Everyone thinks my niece is Korean and she has a big personality. My daughter has big wild hair and is kinda timid like Chuckie. She’s not as outgoing as her cousin. But they’re always right by each other’s side
I liked her inclusion in the original series. It kept Lil from being the token chick. Yes, we had Susie and Angelica but Susie didn't appear in as many episodes as the main cast and Angelica was the antagonist. It added a dynamic and while Kimmy could've been handled better, I'd argue it was because when she came into the picture, the show didn't have as many seasons. Even Dil had more episodes than her and he wasn't even a year old yet. So she wasn't given enough time to stand out as much as the other characters. She was allowed to be more fleshed out in All Grown Up. Honestly, she's my second favorite of the Rugrats after Tommy. I love how she was even more impulsive than Tommy and had traits that kept her from just being a Japanese girl version of Tommy. Not to mention, we all wanted Tommy and Kimi to end up together. I hate what the reboot did to her and Susie, which ruined a lot of what made their characters and dynamics with the other characters to amazing by switching their ages. Kimi doesn't have any of her adventurous and impulsive qualities and lacks the bite that Susie had when facing Angelica.

I like kimi in the rugrats show and the movies, she’s a good character for chunky as siblings. but what I didn’t like in the new rugrats CGI reboot is that they replaced Susie with kimi to set angelica straight while they aged kimi 3 years older in the rugrats Reboot CGI show.
Read true information about this, and you'll feel better. As far as I'm aware, it is apparently a big problem that Kimi came back before Dil. Ridiculous.
I lurked Kimi in Finsterella, bigger than life and in the episode were she thinks Chuckie is allergic to her
Dam Kimi really wanted that pink hair. The hardest hair type to bleach is corse, thick and dark hair. So Asian hair which Kimi has. It’s also the hair type that will come off your head in clumps if you botched the bleach job. Finer hair tends to hold up to bleach in general. Asian hair also will stop at an orangey color after you bleach it once. It’s really hard to get it to a pale yellow which you would need to be at for a bright pink. So unless you have an amazing lifting bleach which I’m sure exists, Kimi had to bleach her hair twice. Then she had her hair cut and colored. That sounds hella expensive for a pre teen. So saying that she probably had a friend do her hair for her. Usually never goes well but dam they did good considering how difficult Kimi’s hair type is to bleach
Dil was the beginning of the end but when they introduced Kimmie the show wasn't just stale, it was beginning to mold
I think ageing her in the reboot was a good idea since it seems to be a better fit for her more worldly persona and makes her a slightly better foil for Angelica even if she doesn't mean to be one.
She's sort of a foil, but she's more of a moral guardian to Angelica. She's not like Susie at all, Susie gets into fights with her, but Kimi just tells Angelica to do things right.
