For those that read this, the arms on the faucet puller popped off every time I turned the tool. SO, I used a big pair of channel lock pliers to keep the arms on the handle and then I turned like hell. Old house really stuck on there but I did get it off with some force.
For anyone trying to get these things off for MONTHS like me: these crappy tools can work you just need to modify the design. Every single time I tried to turn the screw to make the arms pull the knob off the straight metal arms would slide off so I was fighting to keep the tool on the knobs and fighting to pull the knob off at the same time. Impossible! If you take some vice grips and slightly bend the tips of the arms inward so that they actually curve under and really grip the lip of the knob so they can't slip off it will pull it right off after a few cranks because that tension has no where else to go but where it should. Why the manufacturers don't design them like this I don't know!
The center push pin on that tool stripped out, bent and is stuck in my moen kitchen faucet handle. Put plumbers grease on the spline when handles are néw!
If anyone reading this, it was solid stuck and pop off of the handle 3 times. I gently tap it with a tool, add some CLR or something similar into the hole. 5mins later i try again and pop right off. Goodluck
You mentioned in the video your Husky Faucet sleeve puller was about $11. I bought the exact same thing today, 10/29/21 and it was $15.26. Inflation is “transitory”
@@joebeermaster5495 Between driving to the Home Depot to buy the tool, watching a number of videos and finally figuring out you have to have a phillips head screw in the handle (a flat head screw won't work, which is what was in there) I spent a full F'n of my life to get that handle off. And... now the new one won't fit so I will call American Standard on Monday to see if they sell a spindle extension.

Sorry, the end of the vid just won't do.
Cut away at the PAYOFF! Seeing the stuck handle release and what it looks like inside!

I bought this tool and the pointy piece that goes in the middle of the handle snapped off in the faucet handle.
Mine bent. that was after it repeatedly just slipping off the handles anyway. Ain't it marvelous? 🙄
Same here man looking for a vidja on taking it out.

Will give this a try
try drilling tiny holes between the tap & handle then try pulling it off with whatever method👌
Why not just post the text saying trust me, it worked? It would have been just as useful.
--- LOL!
It doesn’t work the little rod in the center get bend

I have tried and tried but the arms on the faucet puller keep popping off/screwing away from behind the faucet handle
Exactly, my hands are ripping and still no luck, those handles are STUCK !!!
The knob broken at the base will this still work

My center screw is loose but not completely. It’s like 1/3 still inside and idk why. What could I do?
