I also found a channel called Scaling Retail, you might like them. I think the woman that runs it is a retail consultant. google! find clothing brands you like and then google them so xyz wholesale. If you live near nyc head down to the garment district for a day or week trip! TONS of wholesalers there and fun adventure!

Hello from Saint Louis, Mo! You have given me so much useful information. I absolutely love your videos and would love an office tour vid. Because of your previous vlogs I started the process of becoming my own boss! It took me a couple months to finally decide on a boutique name but I did it and I registered for my EIN and purchased my domains. I was going to go to Magic but I have found a few options for purchasing online so I am going to make a list of items I like and see if I can find enough to start my online shop off with an then go later after I have made some profit first. Thank you SO MUCH! When I am up and running I will keep you updated. 😊

I know I am late to the comments...but I just want to say I am in the process of opening my online store (we are doing it with no loans, so it is taking awhile). Great packaging! how would you package wholesale jewelry that comes in it's own branded packaging from the maker (these makers also sell their own products on their own websites)? Do I just leave it packaged as is and just insert my boutique business card/thank you insert? Do I repackage? I will be showcasing a lot of different brands and don't want to false advertise that they are my creations, but I also don't know how to brand my boutique when sending the item to customers! Hope that makes sense!
You're adorable!! I found you researching a new POS system for my existing vintage, tourism, and toy store, and have binge watched your videos tonight. I watched your videos about your Shopkeep system, I'm going to look into that system since you're happy with it. I was going to go with Clover, but have read some really negative things online over the past days. Question: I see that you're SUPER on top of theft at your stores, well done. Do you know any rough numbers on what percentage of theft gets past you yearly? I'm finally implementing an inventory system & better security to get a handle on our numbers. A thought for you, you don't seem to have the electronic tower and EAS security tag system, it's so inexpensive to implement, and would seem to make it SO much harder for people to steal your hard work. The mommy bear in me thinks this might make things easier for you. :) Since you wouldn't want larger tags on clothing, they have tiny ones called clamshells. Hi luv your channel. Question, how many items do you need to start a boutique? I think most orders from vendors come with one of each size for a particular style. Do you purchase only one to see how it sells? What price would be a decent number to invest in the first order? 500-1000$? Shopify is better for online. Shopkeep is better for brick and mortar.
