When movies were made developing characters that you felt you knew your entire life. Kurt Russell is one of my favorite actors of all time.
One of my all time favorite movies!!! I’m currently in the process in becoming a volunteer firefighter
Stay safe
Good Luck.. Never a dull moment.
Me too!
I have been a volunteer firefighter for over 10 mouth and its a lot of fun but also a lot of work but its so worth it good luck to you Gianni Magdalen
Good luck and stay safe
One of my favorite movies. Will ALWAYS be at the number 1 spot. This ending gets me every time.
😢😢😢😢😢😢
I don't know where we would be if it wasn't for heroes like firefighters, doctors. Oh man, this ending certainly brings tears. Love to every single person that was lost on 9/11 especially...a day I will never forget. Love and best wishes to all heroes on Earth xxx
Doctors aren't heros, they don't take any risks like first responders and they're over compensated.
I'm sure any fire fighter that was involved in 9-11 has a tear or two shed while re watching this movie. RIP to all those brave souls who only cared about saving others, even though they knew they wouldn't be saved themselves. 😪
This scene always makes me cry....firefighters saved my life years ago in 2006 after an anaphylaxis reaction. I'm forever in debt to these amazing professionals.
This movie I saw in theaters at 10 years old. I always wanted to become a firefighter from 5 yrs old. Now I am a firefighter. number one movie on my list.
R.I.P. Stephen (Bull) McCaffery was an awesome person, he was a pain, but was a brother and role model to Brian
Now together again in the sequel
@@corduerorose9747 yep
"It's not your time now. I need you."
I cry when I hear that. In late February 2022, I lost my best friend, who was also my mentor to a brain aneurysm. I miss him so much. I still need him.
I was so devastated when Stephen died! He reminds me so much of my tough big brothers & how protective they are; how one of them was. Continue to RIHP Big Brotha Boom!! ( Bryant Barnes) I have the greatest respect for firefighters; watch them on tv practically 3-4 times a week on " Chicago Fire" & always to see they riding around my hometown in their trucks!! 🚚 🔥 👨 💘 🎖 😍 🎶 🔥
Backdraft
30yrs later and I still cry ffs 💔
Stephen (Kurt Russell) was gorgeous, rough around the edges and fought with pretty much everyone. But still. He didn't deserve to die. This is one of those movies that always makes me cry. I hate it when the main character dies.
One of the BEST movies about firefighters, bortherhood, family, friends & love. A movie that doesn't get the recognition it deserves.
If you don't tear up from this ending, there's something wrong with you 😢

Stephen: Who’s your brother 👦, Brian?
Brian: You are, Stephen.
One of the last words before he died ☠️.
I always tear up when he says who's your brother brian. it hit me every time.
This scene always gets me when he ask “who’s your brother Brian” and when he says he’s tired hearing the sirens and for them turn them off and the memorial gives me good goosebumps specially when they do the company return home to quarters and the bell rings
Hey love this movie my favorite of all love kurt russell his best look in a movie love the song the show goes on
Whos your brother brian you are stephen gets me every time then that music
Man, the ambulance scene followed by the funeral gets me every time! 😥
Boa noite.
É admirável saber que ainda, no mundo, países e povoa que, tratam seus verdadeiros heróis com a honra merecida.
Triste Brasil.
Who's your brother, Brian? 😭😭😭
You are Stevie…
It gets me every time with my brother being in jail for 5 years who suffers from mental health
I was too young and naive to grasp this scene when I first saw this movie.
Now it never fails to move me.
Rest in Peace my Best uncle, I'll miss you
I gotta say they did a good job with the red eye making it look like he blew a blood vessel.
Backdraft 2 was such a disappointment, i expected better...
Agreed!
However Brian ended up dying saving a life just like his brother tried to do with adcox
He saw his father get eaten by the fire and he's there to watch his brother take his last breath.
And then he's there doing the job at the end. Only Firefighter's will understand.
Only THE BEST MOVIE EVER
ty 4 your service...
loved this movie !
Long live Kurt Russell
IM TIRED OF HEARING THE SIRENS, tired, turn the sirens off brain 😭😭😭💔💔💔

1:42 Goodbye, Stephen 😢😭💔

So sad I just hate this scene Stephen died this scene make me tearful 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😢
Who's your Brother Brian?
You are Steven
Good movie
I think Brian should have told them about Adcox. It would have been the right thing. What would have happened if the public found out after the fact and they tried to cover it up. It would look much worse. Would be better to get ahead of it and be accountable..
Major city depts have all kinda secrets. Supposing this was real and you blew a whistle, you wouldn't be fired outright for appearances. Things would start happening to your career. Passed up for promotions, transfers and you'll start to become a disciplinary problem.
I actually think she says "He's Farc'ing" but I could be wrong. Myocardial infarction. Heart Attack from loss of blood.
You have to fight..literally FIGHT!! to hold back tears while watching this. Sure, its just a movie, but nothing like the real thing; that is much greater & even more powerful (3 firemen were killed in a major fire where l lived; EVERYONE cried -for days!! And then there is 9/11...)
the music of the march of the funeral starts in e-minor but at 3:47 goes inconspicuously to G-Major just to shift back and forth in between both keys, as if floating between sadness and felicity not sure, what to express, but bursts out in bright G-Major at 4:40 to give solemniticity the priority...
....whatever music it is though, when it is my turn to die... ...I would like to die not without having been married and having a family on my own... ...so certainly and for sure not yet... ...not without having done so... ...so just back away!
Le p'tit Daniel, now Daniel3 for good...
Bull was right about everything
This movie makes me wanna become a volunteer firefighter. When I'm old enough I'll join my towns volunteer fire department
Whos your brother brian you are stephen 😢
Wer Bist Dein, Bruder ? 🚒 🚑 🐺
So sad seeing Brad Pitt die in this movie 😢
Y you no BSI
❤❤❤
I was a firefighter for 7 years I wish this would have happened to me I can't take life anymore
Do you need someone to talk to bro? Seriously, what can I do to help?
Just like Joseph said we are all brothers. If you need a helping hand reach for mine.
Okay good for you

He died before the compressions were even started
@@jerrysouthside8597 you dont do compressions on alive people my guy, THATS WHAT COMPRESSIONS ARE FOR. bringing people back from death lol
@jerrybrian saw his father die then his brother.
SCENE SAFETY BSI!
He died because of the sirens
It's a very entertaining movie, and there's a lot of great actors in it; Donald Sutherland, DeNiro, Scott Glenn, Kurt Russell (who doesn't love Kurt Russell), (the always great) J.T. Walsh and Rebecca De Mornay (who's severely underused if not down-right abused by the script). Plus it's the originator of the "Shake and bake" line which is featured prominently in Talldega Nights.
The story however is incredibly stupid. J.T. Walsh is some kind of sleazy liberal politician/government bureaucrat who wants to close down fire stations and replace them with community centers (mo-ha-ha-ha!). In order to do that he enlists a bunch of accountants (geniuses according to the movie) and a disgruntled fireman to kill said accountants in an inconvenient way to cover up the crimes. Why? So he can be stopped by a minor Baldwin of course! The movie even features a Hannibal Lector knock off and scene that's almost a carbon copy of Quid pro qou scene in Lambs. The only thing missing is pyro Hannibal (Sutherland) saying something witty about Baldwins' cologne ("It probably has a fire truck on it")
J.T. Walsh was probably the greatest character actor ever (this side of Harry Dean Stanton), but he was also typecast as hell and specialized in sleazy officials. So you already know he's up to no good as soon as he makes an appearance as a rather sleazy official. Just, in case somebody didn't get it, they gave him a shifty and suspicious name.
Why did the accountant guys have to be killed by the way? There's no reason they should rat out Swayzak. Also, isn't there more a profitable criminal scheme than building community centers? How is that profitable by the way? But that's what you do if you're a profit hungry liberal according to Ron Howard, they're all in it for the evuls. The re-boot could revolve around an evil Bernie Sanders type trying to close down ICE, border control and some nice off-shore water boarding facilities in order to build drop in vaccination facilities! You've got to up the game for the sequel/re-boot.
I always thought Ax was killing the accountants for vengeance... not to cover Swayzack.

So beautiful
Watched his dad and brother die in front of him… and then it cuts to the bagpipes in the city…
I’m not crying, you’re crying.
