When Greg temporarily retired 5 year old me was *not* happy about it lmao. Then my family saw "the wiggles" at the great escape years later when my little sister was 5, and when she realized they weren't the real ones she was also very disappointed lol

Sam was basically laid off at the end of 2011 because the Wiggles went through a recession. They only made $28 million and had to cut lots of their ventures and employees. The Wiggles asked Greg to return temporarily for 8 months to help transition from Sam to another yellow wiggle which was going to be Simon. Then Jeff and Murray decided to leave in 2012 so they asked Greg to extend his stay so that he could leave alongside them

@@filmtheory783 It didn’t help that Simon had a lot more experience up his sleeve, especially when he sometimes did the deep vocals in some songs instead of Anthony in the mid point of the original Greg era.
As for Sam, he is starting to reminisce about his time with the Wiggles a little more these days. It doesn’t help that his albums as the yellow wiggle are getting digital re-releases, which according to a Q&A that both Anthony and Sam made amends and there’s no conflict between them anymore. It’s just that they don’t talk often, probably due to both of them being busy nearly all the time.
@@HornetHKensa i didn't mention that but yes in 2012 after gregs return the wiggles were in hot water for appernenty referring to sam as the "salaried wiggle" appernenty anthony is pretty savage off camera by the way none of this has been confirmed its "he said-he said" sam said he was fired and then claimed claimed harassment where anthony denied the harassment allegations and claimed sam wasn't fired his contract ended right has greg was well enough to return

Jeff wasnt the one being a teacher with anthony and murray. It was greg. They were still pretty successful with the cds and videos. In 1997 they made a movie before barney and thomas. A year later season 1 of the wiggles was made. Not in 2002. Not to mention, murray was in fairly unsuccessful bands before becoming a wiggle. By the 2000s they were successful in america. Sam was an I T tech support before joining the wiggles and after he left the wiggles, he did something called play along with sam on nickelodeon in Australia. You know it occurs to me that this is possibly a parody sooooo. I just gave literal facts over a video that was supposed to be funny, i am so sorry 😅
All i can say is i taught myself the real story of the wiggles and if anyone remembers those weird puppets they had? I loved those and I keep up with what happened to the puppets just because they were a part of my childhood too

I had a dream that i met Dev at a supermarket and i said that i was a big fan of the channel and i said that i actually learned some music theory from it so she started making strange sounds and asking what key the sounds were in and then she got really offended when i said that i didnt know and then i woke up.
That sounds like something eerily similar to what happened to me. I actually met Dev at a Sunoco one time when her channel was a little smaller. We were talking about music theory and then she stared into my eyes and just puked all over me. She tried to play it off by saying something like, "oh haha that actually had pretty good rhythm to it. we should turn that into a song or something" I was disgusted and stormed out. I then filed a restraining order against her, but she still sends me letters to try to create that song. Dev, please stop sending me letters.

I didn’t notice Greg was replaced until I was 6, but I lived with it. I thought Sam was awesome. Anytime I saw him in previous videos I’d say “HEY, IT’S SAM!”. If anything, the Wiggles took a hit when Greg returned and Sam retired. It just wasn’t the same anymore…
Apparently when Greg came back Anthony told Sam that they don't need him anymore and practically told him to go away, don't come back over text. No warning or build up, just gtfo over the phone.
@@MustacheOnMars9 incorrect. Sam's contract with the wiggles was up regardless in 2011-2012 and they would have had to find another yellow replacement regardless. If it wasn't Greg back as yellow it would've been someone new cause Sam was never renewing in the first place

Because for the record none of this is true. the first tv show was funded by them the wiggles funded their own first tv show. they didn't come to America till after they released their movie. (which they only did so that people would take them seriously.) they did lots of live shows, wiggledancing 1996 is one of them. their first video was made in 1993 called "wiggle time". in fact they didn't come to America till after they got their 1997 updated clothes with their logo on their shirt and belt buckle in the shape of their logo.

You're research, or should I say lack there of, is nothing short of making this doco look like a satirical comedy, unless that was what you were going for. Jeff never met up with Anthony and Murray at university, he was in the cockroaches with Anthony. And that's just one of many inaccuracies with this vid.
