Every time i boot up and it senses all the switches and throttle position warnings. I don't get a switch warning on just one switch and that is SG switch. Why is that ?? Thanks in advance !! I've got the stock stick ends wound down on my TX16S after I found the hex head lock screws ;-) the 2nd Gen TX16S units allow you to wind them down and it really shortens up the sticks perfectly. Gen 1 TX16S I believe you need to drill out 3-4mm of material from the base of the stick ends to allow them to be wound down on the gimbal - see this video here >> ruclips.net/video/soiMPq3fIQI/видео.html. The gimbal inserts however seem like a nice custom feature but yes stick travel might be impeded as you mention depending on what stick ends you use (other than stock). As for learning OpenTX dewd your videos are really well done, keep it up!

    • @RCVideoReviews

      They push the gimbals down away from the faceplate lowering the stick height. One of the ergonomic complaints on the TX16s is the stick height. It is tall compared to other radios.

    I know this is an unrelated question, but have been trying to make a mix for main gear door. As when I select gear down, main door opens fully, pauses for gear to lower, then half closes. Gear door doubles as air brake. So another mix need so when I pull momentary switch (trainer switch) the main gear door fully opens and closes on release of switch. Any help would be fantastic

    • @RCVideoReviews

      I need to break this into pieces so I know we're addressing the right thing. Gear Down, Door Opens, Gear Deploy, Door Half Closes and acts as an airbrake--are you ok with that part? Is that doing what you want it to do?
      Sounds like you're saying you need a mix for momentary switch pull to open the door and close on release. Is that right?

    • @russcole5685
      @russcole5685 4 года назад

      @@RCVideoReviews main door only operates as air brake while gear is raised. So pull switch, door fully lowers, release and door fully closes. Momentary switch (trainer) When gear down (two position switch) is selected down, door from fully closed, fully opens, gear lowers, then door half closes. On gear selected up, Door from half open, fully opens, gear raises, door fully closes. When gear is down, air brake deactivated.
      That's the first bit I'm having trouble with, I tried using a 4 point curve, coordinates as follows closed -100,-100 100,-90 open 100,+80 0,+100 half open. Only thing opentx doesn't have, a widget for sequences

    • @russcole5685
      @russcole5685 4 года назад

      Part two would be when gear is down, and I'm safely on the ground, pull momentary trainer switch, and the wing spoilers raise as air brakes instead of door lowering into the earth. I know I'm asking alot. And I thank you in advance. I'm grateful simply to have you reply. Thanks a heap

    Question John, when I was going on with my analyzer issue And learning the radio I had created a bunch of models and deleted most of them 34 to be exact. Now I have in companion my models folder the first file is labeled document1 and it holds all of my models and settings but then following that file I have 34 files just labeled model1.bin all the way to model34.bin. In companion I’m not able to delete these models but on the radio I could go though and delete them one at a time under the sd card.
    My issue is that these files were created when I made the 34 models but remained even after I deleted the models. Is that normal?
    Also on the sd card on the radio screen the model numbers are not in order as they are in companion strange to me.
    Anyway I just want to delete these models that are not in use but I’m not sure which ones are what because they are just numbered.
    Now I know you’re going to tell me to delete everything and reload my models from companion but what is the reason that these files remain after a model is deleted?

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  4 года назад +1

      We need to break this into manageable pieces because I can't tell from your question if you're referring to whats on your SD card on on your PC.
      I don't know if you created these models in Companion or on the radio.
      The order on the sd card should be x1.bin, x10.bin, x11.bin...x2.bin, x20.bin etc..
      I don't know why on your PC you would have .bin files in the folder where you saved your companion document. Companion doesn't use .bins like that. So it seems to me you somehow copied those over to your companion folder manually. Companion uses a single .otx file and all the model and radio settings are contained within it.
      The radio does things differently. When you create a model it makes an entry in /RADIO/models.txt and creates a .bin file in /MODELS with the model configuration.
      What I would do: Connect radio, read models and settings. Save it with a new name to a new folder--call this PRODUCTION.otx. Then save another copy with another name to another folder. Call it ERASEALL.otx.
      Open ERASEALL.otx in Companion, and in the model window, delete EVERYTHING. Push that to the radio.
      Verify in the radio you have no models.
      Open PRODUCTION.otx in Companion and push it to the Radio.
      That should get you back to a manageable state.

    • @FASTFREDDIE-R.C.
      @FASTFREDDIE-R.C. 4 года назад

      RC Video Reviews all the models were created in the radio itself. In companion the only thing I did other then save my models and settings was to synchronize sd card in which case that was a while before I knew anything about using companion.
      I just deleted all of the models and rebooted them problem solved. I have no idea what I did to get the bin files saved to companion or why they remain on the sd card after I deleted the models.

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  4 года назад

      @@FASTFREDDIE-R.C. I've never looked at the sd card to verify a .bin is removed on delete. I expect it should be but haven't confirmed. There's no reason those .bin files should wind up on your PC outside of the sd card sync folder.

    • @FASTFREDDIE-R.C.
      @FASTFREDDIE-R.C. 4 года назад

      RC Video Reviews I must of done something to have added them to my pc like you said. When I first started out I was clicking everything trying to figure things out not knowing what I was doing.
      As for my sd card yeah I had 34 bin files in my models but I only have 5 models on my radio I don’t like having unnecessary files taking up space. I got everything sorted out now I just don’t understand why the radio kept them files after the models were deleted on mine.

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  4 года назад +1

      @@FASTFREDDIE-R.C. I'll experiment with that today, but yeah you shouldn't have bin files on your PC outside the sd card sync folder. At least you got it sorted out.
