Quickshift is designed for racetrack use, so it will always work better at higher RPM, I wouldn't recommend using it at lower speeds
I use it at low speed also and it works very well
Supermotos at FUN AF but they just don’t have enough motor for highway use. This Duc I think really nailed it
Hi Brookman Rider,
Firstly, it’s gotta be said that you change bikes more often than your undies 🤣, but in saying that your viewers can’t complain about lack of variety on the channel 📺.
Hopefully you’ve found your sweet spot with this Ducati Hypermotard 👍.
Congratulations on getting this new ride.
Looking forward to following your future adventures.
Cheers.
P.S...You’ve gotta consider at least one track day to flick it around some bends at speed 👍🏁.
hi from the sunshine coast QLD, im all over the place on what sort of bike i want again, i have been eyeing this off for a while now. thanks for the review, keep us updated
Good review, I'm sure once it's run in, you'll be thrashing it, in and around the countryside. Congrats on the new bike...💯🤙👍👌😎
My favorite is the KTM SuperDuke 1290RR but this is my second favorite. Beautiful bike! Enjoy!
Congratz on the new bike man! Would be cool to see your helmet/cam setup as well since it's a new setup too :P
Congratulations!!! Love the new bike, can't wait to see more of it 👏👏🙌🏻🔥🔥🥳
There is a formula for fun and I think Ducati nailed it with this bike
nice review Mate - I owned a 2015 950SP version. Super interested in how this compares because my old one was pretty rough around the edges
Thank God I will buy one for myself
New setup looks and sounds good. Congrats on the bike!
Thanks 🙏 👌
Nice job!!! How is the heat and steering agility in comparison to the MT-10?
I bought my 950 SP on May 8th. The mods that I highly recommend are Evotech radiator, engine case and oil cooler protectors. I also changed out the clutch & brake levers for more adjustable ones. I added sliders on the forks and the cage. Since I don't take passengers, I eliminated the passenger pegs and installed Duca Bike heel guards. Lots of people sneer at the tail end, but I can see why Ducati went with it; the overall look of the bike looks like a wasp; besides, I tend to face forward when riding, so it doesn't bother me in the least. I'm experiencing the same shift drama; I went into the manual and it actually recommends the DQS at livelier speeds and not in slow or stop-n-go. This is my 1st QS bike, so I instinctively reach for the clutch anyway and it works fine. I live in a congested very hilly city, so QS is a boring stop sign to stop sign affair. You live in a suburban setting, but living in a congested city I can definitely state that bike will run hot. Fortunately ii isn't a balls broiler like the V2 and V4.
nice thanks mate I’m loving the bike
Got to love your buy before you try method! Hopefully you will keep this awhile longer, or the next owner will have all the trick bits fitting to a low mileage bargin bike else. Great channel thank you 👍
Hopefully this one sticks 👌👌
Great review thank you !! Looks great..
I have a 2019 and love it. World's best second bike. I have an uncontrollable stupid grin as I ride it. It is not much fun on the freeway, though (hence second bike). Superb scooter.
Congratulation man❤
Currently driving a S1000RR myself and used to drive KTM Supermoto, i'm looking for a bike that is right in between those 2 so i can drive on the road without losing my license but still be able to travel distances and play, i think the HM950SP will be the bike for me.
I'm exactly in the same boat as you.
I own a S1000RR and A DRZ 400SM.
But I may prefer a single bike in the middle.
Which bike did you end up with?
Lets see how long you last with this one hahaha, congrats mate
It’s a problem. Haha thanks mate
Don't expect the Upmap to do anything in terms of performance, it will pretty much just smoothen out certain rpm areas.
Yeah I know just feel better that there is a map with a full exhaust.
Hey Mate what tail tidy are you running on the Duke?
Custom one
The gearbox was crap on both the 939SP I’ve owned. Supposed to be gearbox improvements to the 2022 bike. With full Termi and remap installed my bike ran like crap below 4000rpm. That combined with the tall seat was no fun in urban settings. Also wasn’t much fun at high speed as you catch a lot of air from the upright and tall seating position.
In the right environment they are fun but that fun window much small than many other fun bikes. After owning two my enthusiasm for hypermotards has taken a blow.
May be a weird question, but aren't you indicating the absolutely opposite way on a roundabout?
Maybe it's country specific but where I'm from there's no indicating until you're about to exit and you indicate the other way...
I really want this bike, but, it's the same price as a KTM 1290 SD R. And there's a lot more bike there. Maybe one day we'll have the best of both worlds and there will be a KTM 1290 SMR, like there was with the 990 SMR.
This is more fun then a 1290 the 1290 is great but not really that useful on the roads and Ducati quality is so much better.
Bro that quick shifter isn’t for lazy riding but for wide open throttle wheelie shifts.
Quick shifter behaves exactly like yours on my new Monster, Don't' bother using it around town now.
Just go get the suspension set for you and termi twins with link pipe and you’re set
think i will go full system
Im puzzled as to what qualifies this heavy of a bike to be a supermoto when that designation is not applied to various other naked motorcycles with similar specs???
They call it a hypermotard not supermoto. Ive had the 701 husky and have the 950. The long travel suspension seating position and bench like seat with big handlebar gives it the same feel as a supermoto. Naked bikes dont feel the same at all. Also have a 1290sdr and the seating and ride position is nothing a like
Is it comfy
I was curious how your mpg is?
Not great. Can’t really tell I got about 190km out of a tank
Is it comphy
Don't compare the single cylinder 690 with 939 twin cylinder you will end up with more questions than answers lol
Well there in the same category. Super moto
@@Brookmanrider not really one is a ground up supermoto the other a supermoto looking mad thing derived from a road platform
No if you want to compare it to a ktm it has to be the 990 sm r which ktm don't make any more but a 2nd hand one would kick the arse of any of the hypomotards
I mean no disrespect and loved the vid
It's just how I see it 👍👍
Is it coffee le
The super/hyper motards are the most fun you can have on two wheels!
PS I've got a 74hp 701 and it's epic!
Definitely a fun bike
As a viewer, when you're reviewing a bike, can you just review the bike? Cut the crap before hand, ie 1000 subscribers, how many bikes you've had....oh yeah then there's the 950...You wore me out in 4 minutes.
You have weasel like symptoms, I suggest you go and see a doctor
Sounds like a bloody tractor
Yeah it did a little. It’s sold now haha
@@Brookmanrider Just curious why you sold it? I have the SMCR, but would have loved this Hypermotard. Were you not happy with the upright position with no wind protection?
