Well, it's basically the Maritimes provinces of Canada (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and the Magdalen Islands of Quebec) as one US state. The name derives from "Maritimes". State's largest city is Halifax, while capital is Amherst. It has a population of around 7-8 million.
