As much as I hate blatant tanking but the Mavs got themselves a fine player in Dereck Lively.
we tank for 2 games to save our #10 protected pick after a lost season, everybody loses their mind.
Meanwhile half of the teams in the NBA straight up losing 30 games in a row, Spurs tanked the entire year to get Wemby, nobody even blinks.
Saving that #10 pick was the only logical move to make at that point, and it literally saved the Luka Era in Dallas.

I used to think that the Mavs wouldn’t go far with Kidd as coach. I was wrong. The defensive schemes are outstanding, and the offense is adjusting as needed. Kidd is doing a great job, as well as the rest of the coaching staff.

Luka is top1 elite scorer but has to understand that we don't have a chanсe to make many mistakes in playoffs.
