That was so damn smooth, I think what he lacked was the elton emotion that's why most judges were meh. I think he was awesome! A smooth version of one of my favorite songs ever!
Yeah definitely missing the emotion he needed to sound proud/a bit angry to make it perfect since the original song is basically Elton John saying that he is still standing even after the person tried to make his life worse for him but not just standing better but more successful than ever before. But the performance he gave was still great.
The problem with the song choice was that the bar was set so high.
He tried to copy Elton and that is so so hard.
He might have got more if he did his own version.
For that u need 10 s yearsof experience and been through what Elton did.
It'd hard to differentiate yourself from such a structured and gimmicky song. The song is fun but the judges can't tell of its because of the song or him

This is a brave choice for an audition. Could come off a bit overconfident, and it falls flat if you fail.
He didn't fail. Did a real good job with a high difficulty song that has an emotional resonance for a lot of people. He managed to sound confident without sounding cocky, and once that chair turned it turned up to Triumphant. Well done!
No, he wasn't singing powerfully enough for this song. He wasn't as angry and proud as he needed to be either.

eu entendo bastante de musica e principalmente de vocal :) e na minha opinião todos deveriam ter aprovado este rapaz super talentoso, o jurado do programa o loiro que aprovou ele, parece de longe ser o mais inteligente e também o mais exigente de lá :) ele sabe reconhecer um cantor de verdade quando encontra um ♥ compartilho daquela velha frase: quem sabe fazer, faz ao vivo ♫ ♪ eu penso igual ao homem loiro que aprovou o cantor incrível no programa ☼

It was good but it’s NO WHERE NEAR some of the other preformances on the Voice history
What happens is that his audition was made after the first ones, the judges have a lot of work with their groups and except that he sings like an angel they would not take the time, in addition to other variants, such as his performance (which was good) and the tone with which they sing (if a lot of work is needed for the next round), if it had appeared in the first auditions it would be 4 consecutive chairs! Besides being in norway, it cannot be compared to singers who speak English natively, but there are exceptions such as holland and other cases.

Honestly, screw those 3 judges. I’ve seen them give out buzzers like candy to people with cracked voices and when this guy comes along with a good performance of a REALLY difficult song, they don’t take him. I hope he becomes more famous than all 3 of them
