If it was released on the Sega Genesis, Mega Man X was a fantastic homebrew port.

- The Genesis version is created by the homebrew community, but does it look amazing?
Unofficial Mega Man X port for the Genesis look close to the Super NES.
This fantastic fan port of the SNES classic Mega Man X is remarkable! It is noticeably harder than the SNES version, has less slowdown and in some areas improves upon the SNES version.

Love the redone OST for the game. All your bass frequencies are belong to YM2612 / 3438.
I'm only halfway through, so I don't know if you mentioned this, but the dithering on the Genesis port likely wouldn't be noticeable if played on a real CRT. The dithering would look blended and is a sort of "cheat" on the Genesis to get more color variations out of the system than what's capable, or even achieve a fake "alpha transparency" effect.
On a CRT, these effects appear flawless because of the natural pixel blending, which looks even better if you use a composite cable.
What about people using new hardware via HDMI?
hardware issue the with colors you can't show more colors because it limited to the 64 colors on screen. if you do use more colors the extra colors will be on of the indexed colors in memory so no matter what you do its 64 colors..
@@knabioi2418 it's true, but it can be computationally expensive.
É uma pena que esse port de Mega Drive nunca será completado, porque o cara que fez o port tá fazendo um jogo no estilo do Sonic pra PS1 e Saturn
Eu odeio quando as pessoas abandonam o projeto no meio do caminho
Really
Serio?
Resolution? Difference?
Well I think resolution is not as important as colors and cpu speeds. Also there would be a lot of clutter on screen n
@@playnalisis Sega Mega Drive is 320 x 224; Super Nintendo is 256 x 224. In my opinion, I see a significant difference, especially in textures, edges and contours.
I still don’t understand why Nintendo could use a higher resolution number like the Genesis.
@@playnalisisthe maximum resolution of the SNES is 512 x 448. The reason as to why the SNES barely ever used this mode is because it severly limited the amount of colors on screen as well as the number of backgrounds available. Retro Game Mechanics has a very good video detailing this: ruclips.net/video/AnEuk8Vj3w0/видео.htmlsi=FioSTJnfeAC1l2ZH . This come from an entire video series detailing the capabilities of the SNES as well as it's unique hardware features. I definitely recommend this to clear any questions regarding the SNES!
Cool
Thank you. I got more coming
