    Girl!! Your hair gives me life!!! I love it! I am almost 3 years post relaxer and 2 years fully natural. I keep my hair in havana twists or individuals. We have the same texture. I am glad I stumbled across your videos. KEEP THEM COMING!! You are very detailed in the descriptions/ tutorials and not long and drwan out. Straight to the point. New subbie.

    Have you noticed a difference using your home-made shea butter on a braid-out vs the foam you use for your twist-out. Just asking because I'm planning to do a braid-out for the first time (I mastered twist-outs early on and stuck with them lol) and I was wondering if I could use the same products?
    P.S. I have almost the exact hair texture as you and your videos have helped me so much! :-)

    Great tutorial, and your hair is so lush! :) I have a question- did you use dime sized amounts of the styling product because you had already used products with your flexi rod set? Or do you still use the same amount even when working on fresh damp hair?

    • @taikafilat
      @taikafilat  10 лет назад

      Hey, Ekene! I use the same amount even when working on freshly washed hair. I just get the very best results on stretched hair :-)

    • @taikafilat
      @taikafilat  9 лет назад

      Hey! Thank you! I have a blog that provides tips on how I maintain moisture: naijacurls.com. However, deep conditioning regularly does wonders! And don't be afraid of water! Spritzing water on your hair and following that up with an application of an oil or butter will trap the water in and help to keep your hair very supple. A homemade shea butter cream is a great option and works well on 4B/4C hair :-)

    • @taikafilat
      @taikafilat  10 лет назад +2

      Hey, Stephy! It could likely be that your hair isn't properly moisturised (dry hair = stiff hair), and/or the combination of products you used is causing your hair to react that way! You can incorporate the LOC method for moisture. Personally, I like to just dampen my hair with water, and seal with my shea butter cream -- which works wonderfully for our hair type. I also like to smooth the hair occasionally as I braid, which helps to tame the frizz and get me the best results :-)
