Girl!! Your hair gives me life!!! I love it! I am almost 3 years post relaxer and 2 years fully natural. I keep my hair in havana twists or individuals. We have the same texture. I am glad I stumbled across your videos. KEEP THEM COMING!! You are very detailed in the descriptions/ tutorials and not long and drwan out. Straight to the point. New subbie.
Hey Jeri! Thank you sooo much for watching and subscribing :-) I also appreciate your comment on my straightforward way of speaking, haha! And yes, new uploads are coming soon. I am working on them as we speak :-) God bless
Have you noticed a difference using your home-made shea butter on a braid-out vs the foam you use for your twist-out. Just asking because I'm planning to do a braid-out for the first time (I mastered twist-outs early on and stuck with them lol) and I was wondering if I could use the same products? P.S. I have almost the exact hair texture as you and your videos have helped me so much! :-)
Great tutorial, and your hair is so lush! :) I have a question- did you use dime sized amounts of the styling product because you had already used products with your flexi rod set? Or do you still use the same amount even when working on fresh damp hair?
Taiwo Kafilat pineapple works !! the hair gets puffier over the week but after 6 days I still have mad definition ! but well i kept the braids during 1 week so I guess this helped ^^
Beautiful hair!!!!! Do you use the same leave ins a year round? Do you notice much of a difference between using raw shea butter vs. whipped shea butter? Could you do a product video of what you like to use and how often you use it? Do you like and/or still use Kinky Curly Knot Today? Thanks in advance:)
Hey Erica! I've actually never used KCKT, and yes I use the same leave ins year round. And I prefer using whipped shea butter! Also, I can definitely do a video on those things! It's coming soon. Stay tuned :-)
Hey, Lola! Thank you! I've bee natural for almost four years, and I have big chopped twice (once in Dec 2010 and again in May 2012). So, I'm currently in my second year of growing my hair out :-)
Nice braid out. Love the definition. What specific regimen did you use to get your hair to grow? My hair is at a stand still. I can't get it to grow. I have a big afro (which I love) but when I do twist out my twist have definition but not volume. Thanks in advance for responding.
i just did a braid out following your methods but i dont know do you recommend rebraiding at night?? or what do you do at night to your braid out? thank you in advance !!
I am not her and you posted your comment a while ago but you could just moisturised your ends with Shea butter at night, put your hair in a pineapple ponytail and wear a satin scarf. You should be good the next day!
Jennifer A. Hey, Jennifer! There is an awesome place called Girlfriends Salon & Spa in Buckhead that an old friend went to a few years ago. They cater to all types of Black hair, and the salon is so cute! They even give you a discount and a little gift when it's your first time
Lots and lots of patience and TLC! I have blog that could be of help to you, naijacurls.com. Also, information on length retention will be coming soon!
+Taiwo Kafilat thank you. I wanted to also know your jojoba water measurements. I used my jojoba oil after my deep condition and my hair is bouncy and soft. it gives me a break while it dries than I can add my styling products later. thank you again!
Thanks a lot for sharing, your hair is simply WAOOOOOOU...AMAZING!!I have the same type 4B/C,my big challenge is to maintain MOISTURE...Sniiiiiiiff...kindly share with me your "secret"
Hey! Thank you! I have a blog that provides tips on how I maintain moisture: naijacurls.com. However, deep conditioning regularly does wonders! And don't be afraid of water! Spritzing water on your hair and following that up with an application of an oil or butter will trap the water in and help to keep your hair very supple. A homemade shea butter cream is a great option and works well on 4B/4C hair :-)
Hey, Stephy! It could likely be that your hair isn't properly moisturised (dry hair = stiff hair), and/or the combination of products you used is causing your hair to react that way! You can incorporate the LOC method for moisture. Personally, I like to just dampen my hair with water, and seal with my shea butter cream -- which works wonderfully for our hair type. I also like to smooth the hair occasionally as I braid, which helps to tame the frizz and get me the best results :-)
+MsPlatinumfaces Hey! Sometimes. my braid outs lasts for a few days and I don't have to re-braid (especially in the winter months, when I don't have to worry about humidity). But typically, I do!

You have beautiful hair! I've never done a braid out but this makes me want to try to do it.
Schawa x Do try it! :-)
I love your hair! Thanks for the video. I prefer braid-outs over twist outs when I'm looking for more length and movement.
Erica Limones Yes! Agreed. I definitely prefer braid outs for length, but there's nothing like a nicely defined twist out :-)
Such beautiful hair!
Inez Moore Thank you, Inez!
I love how your hair has movement. Mine's stiff af.
Same :/
Very nice hair. Please upload more often if you can. Love your vids.

Love your hair it looks thick and healthy, just beautiful.
Thank you so much! :-)
Great tutorial, and your hair is so lush! :) I have a question- did you use dime sized amounts of the styling product because you had already used products with your flexi rod set? Or do you still use the same amount even when working on fresh damp hair?
Hey, Ekene! I use the same amount even when working on freshly washed hair. I just get the very best results on stretched hair :-)
I am in love with your hair Taiwo! would like my hair to be like yours.
Your hair is everything.
Danielle Alonzo Thank you so much, Danielle!
lovely head of hair! how do you maintain your styles or do u re braid every night?
Hey! I typically re-braid, but in larger sections. For some reason trying to maintain a braid out without re-braiding never seems possible, lol!
Taiwo Kafilat pineapple works !! the hair gets puffier over the week but after 6 days I still have mad definition ! but well i kept the braids during 1 week so I guess this helped ^^
