Hello mates from south Africa... Ashville is awesome guys... A company I've wished to be part in... So when he is done down there.. he is welcome up here 🇰🇪🇰🇪
Own a pressure washing and roof cleaning company here in the states, 8th year in business. I'm about to save you guys a whole lot of time and you a whole lot of money. Tell your guys to throw that brush attachment in the trash, get a pump sprayer with a spot sprayer tip so it can shoot 15ft up. Liquid pool shock and water 50/50 on that roof. Dont use powered pool shock as it will leave a white residue. Spray, let sit for 15 minutes and that whole roof will go from black to red again. Rinse off. Be sure to keep the chlorine off high end window frames, light fixtures, door handles, copper gutters. It can touch these things if they are prewetted and quickly rinsed off. Just dont let it sit on there
We try to avoid using chemicals over here not just because we want to but there's alot of laws around what you can and can't use and for what for, it does mean that alot of the time we do things the 'slower' way but our houses can, have and will last for hundreds more years doing it that way
Gosh no! Chlorine will totally break down the clay tiles used on older buildings in the UK aside from the huge environmental damage caused by having hundreds of gallons of pool shock turned into a mist 😮 heath and safety would have a fit of epic proportions.
I’m slowly working through a backlog of weekly episodes, what’s fantastic to see is Dan finally admitting that even though he runs the company, he doesn’t know enough about parts of the business that he’s starting to employ people, having an on-site accountant is just what they need, about time too.
This is the first episode I have watched of this channel. As an African, I am very impressed by your work and the company you have built up. It is very inspiring. Keep it up. I look forward to watching all the episodes from the beginning. I am also glad you paid my country South Africa a visit. I hope you enjoyed your stay. 🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️🔥❤️🔥
I love that your drivers respect their rigs. It’s good to praise folks, you get much more out of them.Another great video and you are so much more relaxed.❤️💕
I love the banta and relationship between Daniel and Mr O'Donavan (uncle/grandad Michael). Simply hilarious, it's a beautiful thing and a lovely addition. Guaranteed to make you LOL literally! ❤️🙌🏾🤣🤣
Hope you enjoyed your South African experience and thank you for the weekly dose of inspiration you bring to all who follow Ashville from this part of the world... ...and no you, definitely won't be needing a satellite phone 😂
I run some articulated trucks here in South Africa, hauling mining materials etc. that’s why I took an interest in your channel. I am learning a few things from you, despite doing different work.
Excellent video, nice to see your mum and know your not actually a workaholic robot, ye mum's funny bless her, is Terry driving.... Lol. Glad to see ye taking a chill too, that's important. Speaking of chill, take a dip ye big girl...
Love the material delivery montage, Michael & when Daniel’s mama are featured. The relationship between M&D is so awesome. Hope Mama Daniel is okay. Merry Christmas Daniel & your Mama, Ashville team, Michael O’D, and all the faithful subscribers 🎄✨🍾
Another fantastic video, so interesting about all the projects, and your banter with Michael O D is priceless! You're right to get rid of Artics though if they aren't earning their keep every day. It's better to build your contacts with someone who is near to you and has them, then if a customer wants such trucks for a big job you can sub contract from them just for that project and they'll have the headache of maintenance, depreciation etc
Can I recommend something to you Daniel. When the articulated lorries go you could pick up a mobile crane with the funds. You could hire it out and also use it on your own jobs. I am sure it would come in handy at the yard. The reason why I say is many of the UK cranes have been sold off abroad for these huge build projects like Qatar etc. It's created a demand for crane hire in the uk. Thats turning a deadwood item into a profitable one. Ask that superb finance lady to look into it. Just a thought mate
Very cool video illustration production and Daniel did a good job on taking improvement advice and not being stubborn to accept changes from someone new to your company.
11:49 so what’s the deal with trading in trailers - getting walking floor or whatever it is you need to get more sustainable work? And keeping the tractor units?
It's so shocking to hear that you've been to my hometown- Benin City, of all places. Wow. Such a surprise. You've been an inspiration to me Dan, all the best in your endeavours mate
Michael Dan and myself share the same birth sign.. greatness that is being Aquarians!! We are legends!! The best star sign in the game!! Keep it up lads... brilliant as always 👌
Good to see that even the best can make some small mistakes. Hopefully, you can get yourself a New HGV in the future, Daniel. Good to see the Good the Bad and the lucky. You are doing great Daniel keep going
that kinda of attention to detail in oragnizing samples makes me wanna spend every red cent and borrow the rest to get a renovation done lol . That is some serious work and looks the part ! another exciting design and build danny boy
You done the right thing with the artic bodies if there costing you money adios. It's a natural reaction to question if it was the right decision you made don't look back buddy I have a had 2 buisness fail on me. I walked away from them and it killed me but 3 years on it was the best thing I ever done for my family and my health I'm concentrating on building and electrical companies now and we are thank god flying. You are a serious inspiration for me and my buisness . I take little lessons every Sunday from your shows.keep up the great work Love from Dublin
I agree Daniel, I used to run all ally tipping trailers but we did mostly bulk tipper work on grain and sugar beet then the trailers only did a few months a year but we kept them on aggregates. Site clearance is a killer for alloy bodies ! Still ran a mixed fleet on the eight leggers just have to be careful how you allocate the work to each type of body!
I guess you had a serious talk to your F.O. about what makes or loses money. Fair play that you own up to your mistakes as well as your sucesses. Love the channel I dont think you could do it without Wilson and the team. It will be nice to see your viewer stats.
Here in the states, especially in Texas. You can only run 80,000 lbs on the Highway. Your average Truck and end dump trailer weigh around 30K lbs. to 38K lbs. empty. This is why we use aluminum frameless end dump trailers for gravel hauling. Now if you running scrap trailers with sleeper trucks. Those usually run around 38K lbs. to 45K lbs. What sucks, is that in Texas you can drive a hour just to get anywhere. Now If your in Houston, it can take you over an hour to get from the north side to the south side of the city on regular traffic. Now if it's rush our, add another hour. So we have to maximize our loads all the time.
Saubona Daniel... hope you had a fine time in neck of the woods...know that hotel ... facilitated many a business course there. Hopefully one day our paths will cross ... ... two different worlds with respect to services offered but a lot of similarities wrt to managing
At my work we use CAT 793 Haul trucks with a different box on them. I think we can haul an extra 25 tons. They have a box mat to help protect the bottom from the Ore being loaded in.
All that lovely expensive stone cut so nicely, all to be dot & dabbed down. From a quality of works standpoint it's not great but you'll also have problems if you have underfloor heating as it will not uniformly heat the floor, especially with such a thick stone.
Cannot deal! The luxury bathroom, the tilers laid with dot & dab 😱 won’t be long before them tiles crack/break. Shocked that that was even shown #cowboys
Bucket stopped working. Bet the nut with the sealing rings has come off the end of the hydraulic ram internally. Hope it hasn’t scored the inside of the cylinder as you’ll be needing a new one. Could have even damaged the threads on the end of the ram, if the nuts being moving over time. Could be somewhat expensive to fix. With the ram being fully extended this is what I expect
Maybe its not time for artics yet always room to expand in the future. Maybe into something slightly different rather than just having tippers. Maybe its lowloaders or flatbeds with cranes for transporting precast concrete
The relationship between Daniel and O’Donavan is brilliant and hilarious
yeah your not wrong there they would be a great team in business thats for sure
Absolutely amazing relationship! I love it and you do miss when Michael is not featured. He certainly brings out the smile in Daniel.
Can tell Daniel really laps him up..
Is Daniel willing to spend 100k on a st’ lucia passport
@@rikkithain1181 they should have their own RUclips channel

My dad owns the leading roofing company is Surrey and it actually take 5+ years of the tiles using the method you use
But it is a lot quicker and easier I will agree but it’s not up to trade and standard
Bleach will destroy property, it's not allowed in regulations.
We try to avoid using chemicals over here not just because we want to but there's alot of laws around what you can and can't use and for what for, it does mean that alot of the time we do things the 'slower' way but our houses can, have and will last for hundreds more years doing it that way

We use to use those vice grip looking things to hold gear doors open and steady on aircraft
Thanks to the gentleman whoever you are.
Live and learn

"My mum could drive one of them" 😂😂😂😂😂
Mr. O'Donovan tell Mr. Asshville litle more about this superb withe and red colored Cups please.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing when it comes to trailers etc.
As owners we first have responsibility to the company and it’s future. Sometimes decisions are not always easy.
