I'm no longer looking for a microphone, I've made my decision, but I super appreciate the detail you put into these review and comparison videos! Much love.
Returning to the mic in question in between comparisons is brilliant and should be a RUclips law for anyone how compares one model of anything to more than one other model. Thank you, Bandrew - I always enjoy your content but you became somewhat funnier and somewhat better during the last year or so and although I really don't need any more mics, I am glad to see when you pop up in my stream and happily click on the video. Thanks!
So I already bought a mic at Bandrew's suggestion (Samson Q2U) and very happy about it.. so why do I still click the moment I see the notification? lol.. it's not like I am going to buy another mic..
@@libertyDude1775 I mean I already have a Blue Snowball, Behringer XM8500, Behringer UM2 interface, Samson Q2U, some cheap lavs, Purple Panda lav, Deity D3 Pro mic (Bandrew review pending), Audio-Technica AT8024... I am on cheap collection stage right now.. Thank god I don't have enough money to buy the expensive ones..
@@JustAskThisDad Yeah Buddy! One of us! One of us! ha ha Quality doesn't have to be expensive. I too use Bandrew's Podcastage channel to assist in selecting the best "cream of the budget crop" microphones for my use cases. Having a plethora of useable mics available in your mic locker, enhances your capabilities & creating possibilities. Hope you find interesting & fun ways to enjoy your collection.
@@libertyDude1775 Only mic I haven't used to its potential is Samson Q2U. There wasn't anything wrong with my Blue snowball to start with so it stays my daily desktop mic. Gotta find something better to do with samson soon. Most probably going to use it as a mobile voice recording setup.
I am in the same boat. But hey, at least I am planing to buy a second one, after that Samson Q2U. Right now I just don't know if its gonna be a Shure SM58 or Behringer ba 85a or something completely different.
Wow, now I do own a Lewit 441 Flex, but I’m finding again - How pleasantly surprising the sound quality seems to be next to other competitors! I think it won this category with the Sennheiser on the same tier of Good tonality.. It really tracked everything in the music section very well.. & thanks for these videos, love it!
Yes I can agree on this, I bought the sE Electronics v7 microphone capsule for my Shure radio microphone system and I really like the detail and clean vocal production that it produces
Noooo! It had that irritating high frequency cheap mic thing going on. That frequency response that draws in noobs with it's so called "hi-fi" sound. No bueno.
Love the rejection. The sE V7 sounds like a 58, but what sunk it for me was that when we tested it, it had way less gain before feedback, so unless your singer is on IEMs I don’t think it’s a great choice. This mic, though, sounds brighter, better, and at a glance should have excellent GBF at an even more competitive price.
Bandrew I saw you today in my dream, where you recommended me a Focusrite audio interface that doesn't even exist on the market. 😅 It was smaller than Focusrite Scarlett solo, you can say that it was Focusrite mini! Btw awesome review.
I did some testing of some of common mics with a friend who has a cleft palate. The Lewitt gave the clearest understanding for his voice. The mics were sm58, beta57, Samson q7, and an A/T condesor.
Lewitt MTP 550 DM comparison would be interresting! Thx for your great work! By the way, the Lewitt MTP 440 DM is an excellent mic for guitar amps. We tested it in the band with an e906 and SM57. The SM57 is now in the drawer.
Bought this cause of podcastage. Foam end and its perfect! Gonna get a decent amp so I can record some modern metal guitar with it too. See how it goes!
Great review, Could not have agreed more with your comparisons. I would take the E835 over the MTP-250DM all day for sound but this is such a good alternative option!
Thanks for doing the comparison with other similar mics, especially the SM 58 which most mic-using people will be familiar with. I actually liked this mic, but the Behringer XM8500 is nearly as good for about $25. Price is very important to me when talking about equipment that might be used outdoors, may be close proximity to beverages, may easily be misplaced or stolen etc. If you aren't actually using this on stage... there are better choices than a stage mic IMO.
That much us very easy to listen to. One thing I've learned from watching mic reviews is a dynamic can be as good or better than a condenser. Sound great on guitar as well. N sound just as good with the foam wind screen. Ty
Great review I love your work, Would you recommend the Lewitt MTP-250-DM or the Rode NT1 for audio book narration ? I was also looking at the Shure SM57. Thanks
I'm a live sound guy, so plosives and handling noise are why I sold my MTP-250. I hate to say it because I ❤ the V7, but the Shure SM-58 won the plosives test. 🤔
What I find more interesting is that a large number of people are preferring the crispier tonality of the E835 and this mtp-250...I guess it is a tell tale sign that more people are losing their high frequency hearing than they actually realize.
Excellent review as usual Bandrew. I really like the sound of that Mic & I don't think that you can beat it for that price. Not that I will be buying another Mic anytime soon............ 🎤🎤🎤🎤👍👍
Do you have a video on how to cancel out keyboard clicks for any microphone or popular ones? If not I’d really like to see that, this would be for a gaming video and etc
Tone good for a live vocal microphone, styling good, plosives bad ... but maybe something like PopperBlocker Pop Filter would solve it (not sure if these are still available but the concept seems good to me, I tried something similar a few times). Quite a few Lewitt microphones seem interesting. Great video thanks again!
I came to know 250 discontinued as well as 550. Any idea which is a better mic? You have tested to so many mics, I am sure I will not go wrong following your advice…
Hey Bandrew! I wanna make acapella and dubbing. I dont have a treated room. Should i buy this or a condenser mic at this price range? İ'd appreciate if you answer. Thanks a lot for all of your great content!
Be advised ALL these dynamic mic in the same price range 99.9% sounds the same, I mean if u dont show mic I would know which is which-$99 mic sounds just as good as a $300.
how to connect audio interface to a mixer or connect mixer to audio interface with a condenser mic and which option is resulting a great audio quality : audio interface to mixer to computer or mixer to audio interface to computer ?
I've gone so long without saying this, but it is difficult to hear "the 2nd 90° angle" when 3/4s of a circle is 270°. I find it odd that some mic diagrams show 0°-90°-180°-90°-0°...
Sorry, I'm new to this and I bought this microphone but it seems it doesn't work at all, I don't know if it needs a special XLR cable or if it needs phantom power Any help would be welcomed
They are microphones. The question in return is, would the on board microphone content they record, meet the quality standards you require? That can only be answered by you. If there wasn't a valid use case for them, they wouldn't continue to be a viable product in the marketplace. Personally, I own a zoom h1n. It is a great device. For my needs, I usually connect a separate lavalier, or directional small shotgun mic (designed for camera use). Like every product, these have features that can be advantageous, or limiting. They do not have XLR inputs. Thus, you are limited to what alternative microphones you can connect. I would suggest following the link above in the video description to Bandrew's Discord server, "Podcastage." He has developed an outstanding community of knowledgeable & helpful people. The V7 might sound the best, but I like the Lewitt almost as much. The other mics have a lot of low end that might be a bit yucky in a live mix with lower end instruments and might keep the vocals from being as discernible as a vocalist might want, or anyone wanting to hear intelligible lyrics.

Holy crap.. That untreated room sounds almost the same as the treated one.
I think I've found my new microphone.
I’m so impressed ! Handling noise was very noticeable but I’m shocked it sounds better than a sm58
У какой модели лучше звук?
The sound of it in an untreated environment is OMFG!!!
I have had one of these in my collection for a few years. Great mic. Very good at rejecting feedback even without an EQ
Perfect review. I like how you go back to the Lewitt in between mics. That's how I think mic comparisons should be done. Thanks
