- Finally decided to share my watch, this is my pick for affordable luxury. I like new, I like quality, and I like what Monta is building. That it, that simple. $1500 is a stretch for as $500 is my comfort, but I am happy I did it and comfortable with my choice. Thanks for watching.

I love my Monta Triumph. The build and finish is top notch. It’s a luxury watch and anyone who gets it in hand will recognize the quality. I like the green but love my silver dial. Great buy, Rob.
Wasnt sold on the green color till I watched this video. I'm getting this one when I have the funds. The Triumph looks so attractive in the olive drab.
Man that looks great on, the case thickness is perfect.
Beautiful dial color and the Triumph hits way above its price point. Finish, fit, and bracelet are all superb.

Great looking watch! I like the date at the 6 o clock position. It adds to the symmetry of the dial.
And on the 6th of every month it really comes together.

Great choice Rob. The Monta dive watch is my grail. Like your Orange monster i have a pre prospex blumo that fits me like a glove and would be the last watch in my collection. Keep up the great videos on all subjects.
Great watch! I've had the silver dial a couple of weeks and find it hard to take off. It checks all the boxes. Great fit, finish and quality. The movement is easily serviceable. Just a great everyday field watch. Great video.

My grail piece. This video was one of the firsts that exposed me to Monta. The triumph is my grail and the Oceanking is my second favourite among my collection! Should have kept it

I had a chance to see in person, amongst the other Monta models, at a Worn & Wound Wind Up in San Francisco a few months ago. U was most interested in the Triumph. I would like one some day. But, I still can't decide between the black or the silver (gray) dial. Likely the black for versatility and it's the only model with matching date wheel in black.
The fact their sister company Everest makes some of the best aftermarket strap options for Rolex and Tudor lends the related Monta brand lot of manufacturing credentials. And, it's no wonder why the bracelet and clasp is so well made. They also have a very nice nato option, too.

This is the only microbrand which has an acceptable logo. It actually looks professionally designed instead of "they typed their name and kept switching fonts until they saw one they thought was okay".

Great review as always. This is an interesting watch but for this price I think I would be looking at the Doxa. This is a nice watch though!

I really think I might sell my SMPc for one of these. They really are super nice. I'm just worried that I won't wear my Explorer anymore, which is my GADA watch.

I was never sold on the Monta lineup, but after taking a closer look a while back, they seem like really good quality value watches. If you can even call them value watches as on this side of the pond they are coming in way north of 1300$. And the knife, the Spyderco you had there, is it a Para 3?
one thing i noticed about this watch after i looked at all reviews and photos, manufacturer choose soft steel so they can make this beautiful finish easily. Even the brand new ones have already scratched where the links touch each other and the clasp look at 3.35.
literally anything is more common than a monta triumph. Great looking watch though!
I saw your Hamilton Khaki Field King at the end there. I just picked up a couple Hamiltons recently. The Khaki Pilot Day Date Auto is fantastic and right now my favorite in my collection. I also got a jazzmaster open heart and the Khaki King.
Great pick of color, green is my favorite for the Triumph. Did you give any thought to the Ocean Quest or Sky King?
Need to look at them again. They didn’t speak to me like the Triumph did. The quest on bracelet would be a sweet watch.
I don't know what it is, but something in your video makes the Monta and the other presented watches really pop out. They looked like they're "bigger than life" or a heavily edited picture or drawing of a watch. Either it's the lighting or saturation. Or it could be that these watches indeed look (amazing) like that. Or I'm too drunk to realize and will regret it tomorrow xD

Hi Rob, I’m about to order this watch in green, it’s about to be discontinued but they have one left. However wondered how you feel about it a year after the video. I’m worried it will be too small for my 7.25 wrist. I never go before 40mm or have not yet. Still enjoying it?
I don’t keep watches long, such is case with this one. I did also kinda feel like it was little too small some days.

are these watches regulated ? or is just an off the shelf sw200, nice color hope you enjoy, worth 750 max IMO
SW300 or 330, tuned to +5/-5 sec a day. They're well worth more than 750.
is it just me or does the watch symbol look very much like a vacheron?
I'd buy one in a heart, but I don't believe the green is available anymore.

Nice watch. You should show this watch and should review it - be proud. It’s similar to an explorer and air king. Omega 300 new is ok, monta better . Vintage 300 is better than the monta but it’s a vintage piece. So please Review. Regards Rob

I honestly feel you already regret buying your Monta and are trying to convince yourself and others that you don't regret it. It's a nice watch for $500, but nowhere worth $1000+. I would not put this above a Sinn 104, a Damasko anything, or an Oris 65. There's also too many questions about the brand's manufacturing (how much is actually made - NOT just assembled - in Switzerland). I also highly doubt you would get more than half of what you originally paid for it, unless you were given a major discount.
No regrets here man. Have not tried the Damasko yet. Tried the other two and they don’t exist in my collection. Everyone like different watches for different reasons. If you don’t like a watch, don’t buy it or try it. Plenty of watches for us all to enjoy.
Shipmate, I just received the MOnta couple weeks ago. I have had the Sinn 104 (white), the Damasko 36 AND the ORis 65. I would put the fit and finish of the Monta at or above the quality of all 3. The Damasko is tegimented so doesn't really count. I don't pay attention to brands, but rather the piece in front of me. Its really top quality and easily serviceable.
Haha are you a qualified psychologist or something. The man can buy whatever watch he wants. Majority of companies manufacture components in other contries i.e. China these days. Pretty sure Omega bracelets come from there. In the end it is the fit and finish that you need to be concerned with. You can buy cheaply made products from any country and you can also buy quality from any country. Looks as though Monta are working with good suppliers.
In addition price is relative - to people that have higher disposable income $1.5k may not be a significant sum but to others $50 is a fortune.
Just my 2 cents.
