The quickstep section is my favorite part. It was so quick and complex with great musicality. They were ahead of their time actually. One of their many coaches, Bernard Ford, was a creative force behind their and this dance demonstrated ballroom dancing on ice. Both of them were extremely talented and their personalities really complemented each other- she is a ray of sunshine and Bob was hilariously funny. Beautiful.

I like how they look like real ball room dancers

That’s when ice dancing was truly dancing. They were special. Wish ice dancing went back to ballroom style. Thanks

What a lot of fun! I'd like to see Papadakis/Cizeron try this. They'd never make it.

When you compare ice dancing back then to now you see how robotic it's become. Back then is was about personalities on ice. Too bad the judging was criminal back then. The marks didn't reflect what you did on the ice. It was all about waiting for your turn to be on the podium.

I loved them and was there, that day, in Geneva. Unfortunately, you are right. It was all about reputation, not the skating on any given day. Many times, the outcomes should have been different.

Wonderful program, but sadly it was back in the day when nationality gained more marks than skill !
