Lindsey, does it help your algorithm for people to save your videos? Because I should have saved this one a long time ago, one of the first 5 times I have needed it for reference. If it does help you, you should mention it on your videos that we are going to need to refer to this one later, because it has such pertinent information. I have it saved now, and I am sure you don’t mind me watching your videos over and over again. Thank you for being so helpful to new resellers!

Lindey to circumvent the annoying bubbles when trying to shove the box in that soft mailer, I suggest cutting 2 pieces of very thin cardboard that fits perfectly inside the envelope. Then slide your sealed box between the sheets of cardboard and once it is in, slide the sheets out to reuse over and over. I think that would work well.

    2 Notes:
    1) Fed-Ex Smart Post can be given to either the post office OR Fed-Ex. A lot of times it's the cheapest option.
    2) Regional Rate box A ships up to 15 poinds at the 2- pound rate. Regional Rate box B ships up to 20 pounds at the 5 pound rate.

I use either Parcel Select or First Class and have had no complaints. I routinely sell fragile vintage items that MUST have extra protection to make it in one piece and that may add a pound or more to the weight and a bigger box must be used too. Priority is always like $2 to $5 or + per more expensive, And I know it’s not the most professional thing, but I reuse boxes, bubble wrap and have even dumpster dived for FREE shipping supplies....I do buy tape...but I’m in a very different selling category than you and don’t have a lot of profit right now, so saving on shipping supplies helps a bit. Thanks!

Regional Box B can be cost effective if the buyer is closer to your location. For example, I am in North Carolina and shipping a heavy and slightly longer than a flat rate bag or box package to Ga, or some places in New York, will be cheaper than fedex and the other USPS options. You can select the options without actually paying on eBay in order to see which is cheaper. I find that box B saves me a lot of money in many area codes. You can also check on USPS site by typing in the address and the site will tell you the region and wether box B will be cost effective. One last thing, many items can Stand up in Regional B box because of its height. Just a thought.

You have some great tips, thank you. I do also try to ship priority most of the time if I can, but a lot of times fedex home delivery is a lot cheaper than priority. I just put in your dimensions and weight and fedex home delivery was even cheaper than pirate ship. From west coast to east coast I'm getting $11.20 rate and this is through ebay. You need to put in dimensions to get proper rate.

Great video Lindey! As I probably mentioned in your initial video about Scotch Flex & Seal, I think that product is one the best things to ever come rolling down the pike! (Do you have "pikes" in Kansas?) LOL :-) Seriously I love that stuff. Another great thing you've mentioned in this video, (and the other one you made about them), is the regional A boxes. I don't know when there was ever so much confusion about something! A few years when I was trying to get some real answers about the exact usage of those damn boxes, several of the postal employees in different post offices all gave me different answers and it was clear to me that not one of them was sure about what they were saying. Even the postmaster told me not to worry about using those boxes because they were being "phased out anyway". Well, they haven't been phased out yet and they sure can come in handy once you're clear about what you're doing, right? In any case, a lot of good tips Lindey.

I suspect each buyer who claims that smth is not delivered - as a scammer, who want both product and money. recently had one again and "she" was saying that item was not delivered, when I finally believed her and wanted to resend an item, she said "can i have a refund, it's kinda too late for a housewarming party". And i am like "housewarming during pandemic?" and told her that she turned out an average scammer - and i didn't hear from her since then. and of course i always report such people. But i feel that sellers are not very protected on ebay. My margins are too low to send everyone refunds for items(.

I have no idea where the item will be shipped to so I have to go with the furthest location. The cheapest is USPS at $7.89 flat rate. If you have to use a box to ship it jumps to almost twice as much. I was going to list the item for $12.99. After I realized how little a profit I would make after fees were taken out I quit. Do you have any ideas for me? I have some breakable items.
