theres a little typo in the answer. The modulus value in denominators should be of the power 10^9 since its giga. however, value of answer is correct.

why need to add a negative infront ot torque?
negative so that it remains static Sigma M = 0
Shouldn't the correct answer be 1.06943 rad or 61.274 degrees since gigapascal is 10^9 or am I missing something?
why did you use the factor 1/32 for the polar moment? isnt it 1/2
He replaced the radius with diameter so it ends up having 1/32 out the front.

What if the forces were opposing rather than the same direction?
That will account on the positive and negative sign. In this case, a clockwise torsional movement would end up as positive torque value rather than the negative counterclockwise sign convention shown on the sample.
