      the problem I was having is listed in the description as a P0700 code, this is a follow up to the solenoid replacement video where I stated I would make a video on how to replace these 2 sensors.
      but thanks for the suggestion, I'll keep that in mind if I end up making any more videos for this jeep or any other cars I end up getting in the future

    I’ve been chasing a, shut off while warm and crank but not able to restart for about 10-15 minuets, problem with my 1999 4.7l. When I had the code reader hooked to it the only things that showed up were speed sensors on 3 wheels and p0725 code. Did your Jeep shut off randomly due to speed sensor? Would this code be in same relations to what you had

    Great Information! Great delivery!
    I noticed that in most of the other forums, most folks erroneously identify the crankshaft position sensor as the engine speed input shaft sensor. Is there a valid reason for that discrepancy?

    • @kmoecub

      The consumer service manuals don't have any information about the transmission other than removal and replacement. That's the most likely reason for that particular bit of misinformation.

    Hey Link. For the third sensor, the pressure sensor located on the other side of the input/output sensors.... I cannot seem to unplug the harness from the Pressure sensor, and I cannot reach the 8mm bolt. Do you have a suggestion on how to remove the harness without damaging it?

    • @link375
      @link375  10 лет назад

      I believe it's a locking harness, you should be able to use a flathead screw driver to separate it. be very careful with it though, the sensor is very small and prone to breakage, you don't want to break it and have the inside half stuck
      watch my other video on how to syphon gas out of a saab I'm pretty sure it's the same type of connector

    • @TemperDriven
      @TemperDriven 3 месяца назад

      I would say the output should be near the end of the transmission as in near the output shaft. I would also think the input should be forward of the output, because the car is taking input and turning/processing it into output...as in out of the transmission to drive the wheels...but who knows.

    • @link375
      @link375  8 лет назад

      +Freddy Romero No that sounds more like your thermostat. This is all related to the transmission, nothing really to do with the engine system.

    • @DiscoDashco
      @DiscoDashco 8 лет назад

      Same problem happened to mine (2000 XJ, AW4 trans). Eventually a gasket on one of my cylinders blew and I had to get my engine rebuilt. All sorts of sensors going out on Jeeps after 100,000 mi is common and with different consequences. All i'm saying is don't ignore that or let that linger. Link375 is correct in that it is a thermostat issue.

    • @link375
      @link375  8 лет назад

      +Alessandro Terracciano That actually sounds like something is wrong with your TCM (transmission control module) - basically the computer that controls the transmission. Try the speed sensors first as it's a much cheaper repair. If that doesn't fix it then it's probably your TCM or it could also just be loose cables or a bad dashboard instrument panel.

    • @link375

      The issue ended up being the TCM. I ordered a new one swapped it out and it shifted like normal. However because of all the stress the transmission had gone through + the cracked housing ended up causing issues when shifting to 3rd. I ended up selling the jeep after this.

      Emilia Gilmer No. The 2008 does NOT have the sensor where they show they are in this video. I have have spent days looking and no luck. I also bought the sensors so as of now I’m out the sensor money and still have not addressed this.

      @@bayelimcadams386 yeah, it’s literally ontop of the transmission. I had to losses the support bracket to lower the transmission to get to it. It’s a fuckn nightmare. It was corroded, broke off into the transmission I had to send it to a shop.

      You have some transmission problem read the codes and Google what the codes mean

      I don't know. That's why you need to check the codes. There's lots of things that could put your transmission in limp in mode

    • @link375
      @link375  7 лет назад

      Next things to check are your transmission fluid level and color it should be bright red not dark and if that's ok then the problem is probably your transmission control module TCM (the small computer under the hood) or the transmission solenoid is bad.

      link375 it's at the shop now. It needed a transmission. Fully rebuild for 1,200 with one year warranty

    Why are we changing this ?!?!?!

    • @rockcrawlerfin
      @rockcrawlerfin 9 лет назад

      if they go bad it will throw up a check engine code 0700 and it can cause the car to shift poorly

    • @rockcrawlerfin

      eddie zapata just a heads up the the code p0700 is just a generic code that shows up on the dash. You need a scanner to tell you what is really going on. Hopefully it's just your sensors that are bad on your jeep. Mine I have narrowed it down to a bad tq converter or oil pump.

      However he did mention that the fault code was P0 720. I'm not a mechanic, but isn't that a specific code for an output shaft speed sensor?
