So this video is basically 4 minutes of exploring the various pros and cons of this mod, and the remaining 6 minutes is just repeating what was said in the first 4 minutes. I'll recap it for you: It's an amazing mod! Yes, it is a bit rough around the edges, but it wasn't made by a triple-A studio, it was made by a fan who just loved Vice City!

Yeah, I remember it looking and handling really well. But now, it feels just feels hard to drive with X and ∆ on the ps4 port. And the camera rotation is really bad.

Just the fact that the PC version can look a lot better then the PS2 version with a few simple non game breaking mods is even better. Thank god skygfx, silentpatch & project 2dfx along with 4x sgssaa exists.
@@jadekaay you can change the controls in the setting, to where you use R3 to drive and you can control the speed that way. Of course it changed some other controls too but not all of them so it's for me the better option.
Vice city was such a playground when I was a child. Its probably the most nostalgic gta in the series.

Honestly I’d say that they didn’t even have to really do anything new I feel like they totally could’ve just remade all 3 GTA games over to 5’s engine, add their own details, polish up the game a bit and call it a day not do whatever the hell they were trying to accomplish with the definitive edition

When you play the Vice City mod version of GTA, it does make you feel as if it's worth visiting Miami sometimes lol.

@@user-yr7mf3fr3e Definitely worth the buy. Plays really well on the 360, but the framerate is practically locked on the One. Either way it's an upgrade from the OG Xbox though. Added achievements, and overall a nice paint job. My only complaint is disabled subtitles only works on cutscenes.
I loved this game, brings back some strong nostalgia. One thing I never understood about this game, Tommy can ride a boat, Fly an airplane, fly a helicopter, drive cars, run faster than an athlete,- however he can't swim!

Vice city was my first GTA I basically grew up playing this game... countless hours were put in just exploring and beating Every single little thing and seeing this now as a 20 year old who barely games anymore brought tears to my eyes. To the people who made this mod my respect.

Rockstar should look at Yakuza series being remade for PC with latest engine they have. R* would make some good money with GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas re-released on newest engine. Especially if they pack a lot of content in like Vice City + Vice City Stories mashed together as an example.

Vice City was my first gta that i played and 100%ed dozens of times , thanks for this ....lots of fond memories getting blasted high outta my mind and getting lost in vice city baby

Nothing makes me feel as nostalgic than PS4 games I used to play as a kid. Such good times, especially with my siblings. Now we’re all grown and things are fucked up.
6:02 why would you show GTA Vice City Stories while speaking about GTA Vice City‘s draw distances?
Well, I know GTA V is from 2013 - and was already a few years in the development when it released - and R* spend two more years to "HD" it for PC and current consoles - and it's one of the biggest maps still today - but it's very empty: the right side is used only twice in the main story: the speed chase circle around the map (shows how small it really is as circle around takes not that long) and when getting the chopper from noose headquaters - but that's it. Now in online it was added a bit more like re-use noose base again, but that's already pretty much it. Then there's the whole mountain sites just complete empty terrain - not even tress or just a few bushes - it's just flat earth. The game would have so much more potential when R* would had given us a useful editor (some like Arma3 offers - look at how Altis already filled the map - and how much more good teams can add to it) not just to may modify the map but to script missions - sure, we wouldn't had any voice lines, wich would break the immersion, but I guess what would had been possible by it the community would had accepted it. Also: Why no cross-play? Yes, I know: It's Sony and M$ just don't want it and hence they have rules that devs aren't allowed to. R* would easy have to possibilities to at least enable cross between ps3 and x360 and cross ps4, xOne and pc (maybe even bring the last gen consoles near the current patch level) - but they are just not allowed to. Also with a powerful map editor modders would had already added vice city, liberty city and the rest of SA from gta:sa - but R* also don't want that to happen - although it would be a reason to still ask for more than 30 bucks instead of just throw it away for just 10 on steam sale ... that's what R* should do about gta v - and may re-push it's graphics again. Also: when we had a map editor the whole game could had already been filled with insides - instead of just the low-res 2d textures still used today.

You know what, I think developers like Rockstar and Bethesda should just outsource these modders to improve and/or give new if not extended life to their games, you know, if their answer is always like "We can't do anything with this game yet because we have another on going project...".
