- 🇳🇵Service at Dwarika's was amazing. Big thanks to all the nice ladies who helped serve me during my 4 hours at Dwarika's (Yes, that's how long it took).
The food was not too bad, not amazing, but an interesting experience. The momos were definitely the best part.
Definitely skip this 22 Course and only do a few dishes or a small course if you end up going.

Not sure if the chef thought this menu through. Portions need to be reduced to bite sizes to get through a 22 course menu. Not a very pleasant experience when you’re full just half way through. Fine dining is about quality, not quantity. That said, all the courses looked delicious! :)
I agree!
I think they were trying too hard to impress, knowing Chris is a vlogger.
There is 14 course available too and it is assumed to be for couple not single person
4 people eat it together
its not for 1 person.. its like group package thing.
The service there is super Professional and extremely great! Like she's definitely the type-ah Waitress that genuinely MAKES the overall experience 10× better! She's got some AMAZING manners, patience && just overall is just a phenomenally-great server! I'd L-oOoOoOoOoO-VE to have her as my server / waitress! She treated mans like *✨Royalty✨*
Such amazing and wonderful people!
I cannot imagine boarding a flight after such an experience
Falling asleep to the warm feeling of that liquor, a very full stomach, and dreams of such wonderful geography/architecture/and people
In UK some restaurants don't do it for Health and Safety. People might take long hours to reach home, the food gets spoiled and then they eat spoiled food and sue the restaurant for food poison.
Nepali waitress: Potato cooked in Nepali spices
Chris: Aaloo Tarkari😂😂
lmao 🤣
😹
🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣
Hahaha
A 22 course meal! Wow! To have all that in one meal is definitely something! To be able serve that so elegantly is also something. The Newars are the business people and artisans of Nepal.🙏🙏🙏🙏
They have to serve elegantly because food has nothing in it. Elegance is what money is for. If you really want food you go to tapri.
@@kryptaniabro I thought I was the only one thinking that. It’s literally carbs, veggies and cottage cheese with different spices and cooked in different styles. WHAT A RIP OFF.
@@ToxicHAL foriegners r expected to pay high price for nothing. Same happens to everyone who visits other countries. The way we humans treat each other like aliens is way beyond my mind.
@@kryptaniasorry we're not india we don't have tapri here and i think foods like Italian french Japanese which are famous are the real food for you ig and if you expect more in that price with 22 courses you gotta pay more 🙂
@@SaimonKarki-zf5ep you are india...want it or not...infact you guys are more hindus than most of the indians
Those awkward comments when the food kept coming for the main course had me in tears 😂😂😂
How the hell is there is no takeway after paying 20k😂😂😂😂
This is bizzness
Thats my question, what are they doing scamming f*king people 150 bucks is lot of f*king money for these bs looking 22 course food to be really honest plus no takeaway wtf
It's a course meal, takeout will ruin the experience if something gets cold/soggy etc.
I'm sure a lot of course meal places do that.
its also 150 not 20k lol
@@jacobkiryliuk 20k in local currency
It’s all about the whole cultural experience, the preparation of the food, the exquisite presentation, and the whole ambiance in a heritage hotel that preserves so much history, nostalgia of the past, and wonderful art, artifacts, and cultural relics of Nepal and the Newars which would have been lost if not for the foresight and immense efforts of Dwarika to conserve it all so many decades ago. And let’s not forget the well-spoken, friendly, and lovely hostesses floating around bedecked in exquisite Nepali costumes and jewelry. It’s an experience which should be savored slowly, ideally with close family or good friends or charming guests, taking one’s time to relish the food, basking in the ethereal ambiance and finally enjoying the cultural dance and music show which comes at the tail end of the dining experience, instead of just coming alone, gobbling up the food, and then just rushing away without really doing any justice to it all.
Regarding the comments on the cost, one must understand that price is a relative factor: Just a cup of the finest Indonesian coffee, kopi Luwak, can cost upwards of $100, the Fleurburger hamburger in Las Vegas notoriously costs $5,000, and a Kobe Wagyu beef dinner in some of the finest dining establishments in Japan can cost anywhere between $5,000 and a truly exorbitant $35,000 PER PERSON. Wealthy Chinese diners at upscale restaurants in Beijing or Shanghai must pay over $220 to enjoy just one bottle of ordinary moutai liquor, even though it smells and tastes like turpentine to the uninitiated. But that’s nothing when compared to how a bottle of 1935 vintage Moutai recently fetched a staggering US$ 1.55 million at auction in China.
But, then, even the very mundane watermelon in Tokyo can cost $250, albeit you pay that sum for a very special SQUARE shaped Densuke watermelon; and to top it al, well-heeled Japanese don’t seem to mind paying over $4,000 a pair for their famed Miyazaki mangoes.
So you see, the $150 for a 22 course meal at the fabulous Dwarika Hotel in Kathmandu, Nepal, actually seems quite modest. It all depends on what value you get in return, and whether you can afford it at all in the first place.
150$ to eat the same thing carbs and veggies 22 different times. At least in Japan and Vegas you’re not eating food made for rabbits. You’re also comparing the most expensive places to eat. Most REAL fine dining places that have quality meat you’re paying $80 to $120 per plate before alcohol. Stop making excuses for this rabbit food and sad excuse of “Cultural experience”. Great architecture, garbage food.
If you can do basic math 150/22 is less than 7 dollars, for something that look so nice it's just so low my god,its not because the price is expensive that it is for such big quantity
@@nicolasitey6407 have you never been to buffet? The food is low quality. It’s not worth the price.

no one cares its a food video why are you talking about that
@@Abhi_betteri care but ur parents don’t
Now I knew why you love so much Nepal because they’re so nice people I love them too ♥️ I wish I visit one day that’s one of bucket list
You are welcome here😊❤
you can visit its soo beautiful and soo cheap also❤❤
U r always welcome 🙏
i mean, the whole purpose of having 22 course fine dining is bringing small portion of food with varieties. $150 and you cant even reach the 10th course with the absurd amout of food they present. Also its just the same ingredient over and over again. Bell paper, potato, cottage cheese. Im no food expert but if i had to pay 150 for a fine dining experience and they gave me a plate of pakoda as one course, im crying that evening for wasting my money! I hope you had a good experience though, just presenting my honest opinion.
if the portion size is that huge i dont think this fining dining experience is for one person!
I do agree.
@@thapavlogs9395exactly this meal was probably for 5-6 people, and he ate it all alone 😂
2:20 "Krishna always liked something with milk" won my heart with that Chris😇
Lewis said Krishna always like milk food but when he offer the food for krishna mushroom 😂😂😂
I really liked the gesture of those hotel staffs and Chris was totally impressed by the first staff lady, indeed we all😂.
😂 aajao tum bhi nepal me apna chutiya katwane
The people at the restaurant were very friendly, but a 22-course meal makes no sense. It is pretty much impossible to make a comprehensive journey with that many dishes
Wow, that is a unique experience to say the least. As someone who works in a fine dining restaurant I will say that those portions should be reduced by 75% to allow for increased enjoyment, at this size 6-7 courses would have been plenty and sensible given the lack of variety on the menu. How many stuffed vegetables can one really eat?!
True, plus the menu was not in proper sequence too. The experience was certainly brilliant, either it was expected to be a shared meal that in no way was a 1 person meal.
I was like how many different ways are they going to cook the same potatoes, cottage cheese and veggies. Completely unnecessary.
@@saikatduttaece50 it's not.
@@ToxicHALthat’s like saying how many ways are they going to cook and serve beans, meat and tortillas for Mexican food. Each dish still has its own distinct flavor and texture
@@MH-yj4qq True… But if I’m paying for a buffet or a “10 or 20 course meal”, I want some variety, not the same few ingredients prepared and season in different ways. Especially cause there’s no meat, you’re just eating carbs and fiber cooked differently. Nah it’s not worth it, no matter how you look at it.
Hey Chris, since you’re in Nepal I would like to suggest you to try “PAN ASIAN Kathmandu” in Teendhara Marg, they serve the best Pan Asian food in Nepal.
It’s a must try👍👍
Krishna would like something with milk ;, such a respectful man Chris is ❤
And offers mushroom 😝
Chris: i think I'm full.
Waitress: just a little bit more...
Chris: okay 🤢
They're both so nice.
She is saying so sweetly lol 😂😂
Desi Chris's eyes must've lit up in extreme excitement as the main course came out & the food servers started to fill up the huge plate. 😊
Gosh if we had a 22 course meal here in Australia, the bill would be way expensive 😵💫 I love the variety, the restaurant is pretty and the servers were really polite. Great video, I’d be so full after course 6
Usually its for couple but desi christ went alone.
22,000 rupees is way more than what many Nepalese people earn in a month! This is a very expensive meal by local standards! PPP!
@@mohitkarki9872actually that’s not exactly 22000 rs bro,he is saying 150 dollars for that whole set of items which means close to 20,000 nrs, still i agree that a average nepali guy would barely make that much of a money
It would be cheaper in other restaurants like easily like ,20-30$ maximum. This was an expensive restaurant
You love the variety? Were we watching the same video. He got the same stuff prepared and seasoned differently. What a ripoff.
Its so wholesome when you refer to the food by its nepali name. Well done Chris!
Chris is absolutely delight to see. Love from darjelling
For nearly Rs 20000 Nepali you could've had a better meal instead of being stuffed with potatoes, more potatoes, eggplant, bottle gourd with miniscule amounts of cottage cheese, lentil balls and vegetables that must've costed about 1000 nepali rupees at the most. Boy, you've been had. 😂😂😂
Yes you could but you also could loose all 20.000 Nepali rs in nepali scammers and drivers and still be hungry
im sad that he paid like 1000 for a plate of 6 pakoda with mint chutni
@@sajuente8235it still doesn't justify the money he was conned out of for a few servings of easily available vegetables.
@@thapavlogs9395I'm sad he was scammed.
@@anusharma4204you don't know how luxuries that restaurant is and the foods are made with proper sanitation from theirs usually it's for couple or families this thing would cost him more than this in countries not worth it but better than other countries
At 8:24-8:25, Chris looks intoxicated by the heavy food 🤣
Intoxicated by the alcohol 😂
Lol 😂😂😂

The ladies were so kind and sweet❤️ what a great experience despite being so full!! Lovely
This is actually not that expensive for such a nice experience. Cool restaurant for sure
Well done chris mate, One man vs 22 course .Your break the world record for food challenge. what an interesting experience for whole life. Nepal is rich in diversity and cultural.
Place in Copenhagen does 50
I have visited Nepal from Bangladesh ,From my perception, Nepal is just a place for well known for historic, rich culture, monument, different spicy food and so on.....Besides most interesting to me amazing night club, friendly people, clean and tidy place, so it’s truly incredible 🇳🇵

Indians 🇮🇳 need to go to NEPAL FIRST instead of making trips to Europe directly. The landscapes are extraordinary ✨️, the luxury hotels are affordable and the culture is absolutely beautiful 😍
Oh, this brings back memories. I’ve eaten there, it was one of the best dining experiences for me. Cheers from Indonesia! 🇮🇩 🍻 🇳🇵
Why did you even thought of trying to have that 22 course dinner in the first place?? I don' think your buddy Max could have finished it too!! And Rs 20000 for a course!! That's more than an average Nepalese salary a month!! Hope you'd enjoyed the feasta!!!!
he did mention he though the portions are gonna be small instead it was huuuuuge
@Navih33 yeah I think typically maybe you go with multiple people and share
15:11 She definitely needs a raise 😅
"Khila khila k maarenge" must be the tag line of this restaurant. 😂
😂
Happy tourist day brother ❣️🇳🇵. You are the fav one 🙏✨
I humbly ask. Are you allowed to eat a 22 course meal as a family or is it per person at this hotel? Only reason I ask is if we could sponsor the hungry/needy families
Jesus is king Lord of Lord! No way I would give their god food…
love the way you offer to Krishna and your logic😂😂😂
At least they should have the option to take away atleast he can finish the rest whenever he feels hungry otherwise it would be waste of money otherwise video is good
very good Nepal hotel team so butterfly Nepal ❤❤❤❤
I am just impressed with the waitresses🥰
Actually this place is within 5 star hotel. People saying $150 is expensive but its worth to those who wants to explore all nepal food in five star hotel. What you get in $150 inside 5 star hotel? So stop complaining
big love from mumbai to my nepali brothers and sisters 💛💛💛
20 course food Rs 20,000 oh god 😂that means 1000 for a 1plate food 😂disgusting too much expensive 😢 म त cafe मा खान्छु मिठोमिठो बरू😂

Wow what amazing and wholesome people! This is definitely on my bucket list!
20k for all that veg dishes, yikes.
same thoghts would expect aat least some meat at such price
Dudeee i love dwarikas theor hospitality is amazing cant wait to return back home and try it again
$150 by any standard is pretty high. Almost NPR 20000 which makes less sense.
I hope they lower it.
We Nepalese can rarely dream of eating it here.
My man ordered a whole group course meal just for himself... Hope he made it back to America before his stomach exploded on the plane xD
Who is watching after 300$ Pakistan 5star hotel
I saw a lot of people commenting about the repeated ingredients in the dishes and the portion size so,
1) the 22 course meal is meant for 2 or more than 2 people.
2) the ingredients are same but the way of preparing the meal and the taste will be different.
INSANE amount of food. I can handle a lot but yea their portions were totally big to go the distance of 22 courses. Is it meant for more than one person?
its for 2 person
Not sure if it is worth $150.
The $15 dinner was much better.
Seems like they charged $150 for all almost cottage cheese, black lentils and potato...
I wouldn't dream of eating 22 courses! Probably 4 or 5 would be enough.
22 course meal but all vegetables 😂 can’t eat same vegetables with different course name 😅😂😂
Just started watching you, really loving it. Great work
Hey big spender, when are you going to try Dahl Bhat? - the basic soup, spinach, rice @ lentil mixed plate, most Nepalese eat almost every day.
What a lovely place, and the people working there are so nice! Definitely worth the money judging by the video
suru mai cheura khuwaera pet dhussa hunxa ani 21 item kasari khane hola😅😂😂😂😂

Thank you so much for your positive attitude..
Hoping that you are enjoying Nepal...❤❤❤❤
More so than the great food and the cultural tidbits, what really surprised me was the waitress's superb customer service. It makes me question why I tip 20% in the states to get subpar service
I don't like the gluttony with this concept... why do they do this? No offense to you Chris. Love your videos!!
When u eat nepali food please eat with your hands it makes nice feeling ❤❤❤❤🇳🇵🇳🇵🙏
Stunning Country, people, & Restaurant Sir, thank you for your content I'm onboard for your next Journey. Ben - Australia
When we were like 7 people and still couldn't eat the 22 course myaan newari food has so so many verities bro and it's so so spices 🥰😍🤩
Chris, you have already become an Indian.
Will they allow you to split it four ways? We need to get @BeardMeatsFood on this one. 😆
Beard would probably do this 4 times over haha
Thank You Chris.
Your Vlogs are very Interesting.
That was getting crazy Chris, you did a pretty good job, I think I would of tapped out at 6,lol. 😊
chris offering food to lord krishna will give you tons of auspiciousness in life, believe me.
You did take a good bite on those two giant potato balls! They weren’t chocolate salty balls, but close enough!
Whats a matter did the thought of Salty sweaty balls make you hungry? 🤣

2200 ka khana 10000 mai diya apko 😂😂 I was shock when she brought 20 rupees pakoora 😅😅😅😂😂
They took 22 very random food item and made a overpriced menu item. Felt like I was watching cheap indian buffet 😅 150 dollor, what a scam
150$. Ridiculous and absurd. Looting foreigners mostly. Thanks for mentioning the restaurant. People must avoid such places.
Damn she is so good, intelligent and beautiful .a perfect (dream wife )
How many supporting from INDIA🇮🇳❤️
I love the Nepalese people!
I had 2 roommates in Austin Texas that were so kind and respectful. I miss them!
Damn that’s actually not bad cost for that much good imo
Especially since it’s fine dining 😂
I think it's very stupid and unhealthy for any restaurant to offer a 22 course meal and serve such large portions, most people will just waste the food...I always do The Chef's table on cruises and it's a 12 course meal, but the first 9 courses are usually just one bite, then the last 2 and dessert are a bit bigger..at the end most people are full and not bloated..it's also served with wine and champagne..
After taking 150 charge, they should pack the meal if someone is not able to complete the 22 courses. This is absurd, no wonder the restaurant is empty
Good for you for recognizing the unfairness of the beauty standards- I hope you feel happy and comfortable with the appearance that you have :)
A lot of cottage cheese and mint sauce
He speaks almost mimicking the way nepali speak English. I think I do this when I'm in India too. Maybe because he is trying to learn nepali? It must be a part of human nature to feel like you fit in.
It is disappointing that they dont have a take away
You are now properly familiar with cottage cheese (Paneer) hahahhahah . Literally, every dish had it.
Just to be clear you payed for the meal take away is possible. They won’t be stopping you from taking food you payed for and if they can’t provide the full meal they’ll provide a full refund. Never let yourself be screwed just because it’s a different culture they still need to respect your hard earned money
😱😱This video was very hard to watch because I wasn't sure what to watch the food or the two beautiful ladies🤯🤯
Chris we need 2 videos everyday😂
wow..150dollar and not a single meat😂
Most of the food have cheese which will make you full faster😂
At a point in the video i was feeling full watching it !!! I would never visit this place for food but hospitality, staff was very friendly.
Yeah my experience with Krishna food is it's kind of mid there's a lot of spices they don't use because they see them as too "exciting"
Wow those Nepali women are beautiful. I would’ve eaten everything , I’m so greedy
This kind of places is to scam tourist, you can get better food in local stalls normal Nepali people won’t go eat here 150 usd is like 20k Rupees
kinda fckn hard to get tak away when u got 10 more plateselskap to finish..what a stupid foeigner..though he traveled alot?
22 item not worth even 30 dollar to way much to expensive.criss.sorry for that but u get scam.place very good but newari food not authentic and other food also.
Sorry all this carbohydrates not worth the money he paid , he got conned. Didn't know Nepalis are vegan😮
150$. .......realllllllly? Only chris was there .. !! So its evident y
I don’t think I’ll eat anything for a couple of days after a meal like that
