You have no idea how helpful your videos are to me at the moment. I’ve been struggling a bit with depression and feeling very lost as to what to do next with my life. I’m almost 27 but I’ve had an interest in coding since I was 12/13 and would play building websites. It’s something I’ve always been too scared to jump further into but I’m pushing myself to do so! I live in NYC also and I really need to take advantage of the opportunities I’m lucky to have being here. Will definitely keep watching you for motivation as I start up my journey! 💕
Hey Rlly! I'm in the same boat as you. I'm 25, live in NYC too and decided today, that I'm going to get out of my rut/depression and go for a career in tech. Would you be interested in sharing resources with each other?
@@ericlewis6404 Of course! You wouldn’t happen to have Discord would you? That’s where I’m at most of the time, but there’s some really great communities I can point you to, as well as a bunch of different websites. I’ve pretty much got all of the tools at this point, it’s just using them lol
You are inspiring me. Your words means a lot. Being clueless moreover afraid of start where to begin as I have no tech background. Girl, you are a ray of sunshine . Through your Instagram q and A sessions I learned without having tech background one can become a software developer. Really motivating and inspiring. You gave me the confidence to start. 😘🥰
I´m very glad that I found your video, for some time I have been a little depressed and not really knowing what to do with my life, now thanks to you I´m decided to start, you have been a great inspiration, thank you very much. Blessings.
This saved me in pursuing my trade. I had no clue about anything and they help SOO MUCH. The Question is what would I go to college for when I can get a job with this? I already go my portfolio ready
@@VickyMei Yes, I'm learning web development right now. My goal is to get into a more specialized area of software development, but it seems important to get the fundamentals down in important areas like web development before going too far. I want to be well-rounded before I dive into a specialty.
Hello I have being trying to learn coding for a while to create an online store where an selling things and also learn to create a website of my own. But I don't know how to do it it's really complicated and hard for me so I've been trying to improve my skills I use vs code for coding but I always have problem with my CSS
personally freecodecamp is not enough you have to practice more in differents proyects freecodecamp is very good but you have to practice more to get a level to start applying to jobs
Thank you so much! I use rode mic to film this, i think details are probably listed in my amazon store, link in the description. honestly i had this mic for a while, any cheaper versions will do the same~
I wanna become a web developer especially since I dropped out of my junior year of college because how expensive it was getting as well how stressful it was and wanting to switch majors. I have an !Associate's Degree, but it's for another field. Seeing your video gives me encouragement especially learning it from FreeCodeCamp. 👍🏼
im glad this video has give you courage! make sure to commit time to work through the site :). lots to learn out there for way cheaper than a college degree! happy. learning!
good question! I don't think i intentionally memorize them, but I can see how memorization can be benefiting for beginners. I think the key is to practice enough that to the point it becomes part of your memories
started with freecodecamp in html and css its pretty good for me so far because rather than watching videos and struggling the website pretty good for self-assessment. as an noob I can say its pretty to good learn.
This was really helpful. I wanted to see if freecodecamp was really worth it since I've heard a lot about it. I'm going to start the Responsive Web Design course today. I'm a Mobile Application Development pg diploma student and I want to improve myself and learn more skills. Do you think I should do all of the courses listed there or is this one going to be enough? Thanks!
thank you for your feedback, always nice to know videos helped! from a mobile dev perspective, idt freecodecamp has that much resources on their site, what i do think is important is their data structure and algo section. in general mobile dev is very different than web dev, i would recommend to check out my specific videos about mobile developments/advices in this channel, there should be more resources in the descriptions on those videos.
I've have heard a bit about volunteering, how or where can I do this? I live in Buenos Aires Argentina, so I would need a remote volunteering opportunity, if you can help me out with this, I would highly appreciate it
Hey Vicky, what's up? I just started using the Zero to Mastery course. A paid wall behind it but I decided to do it because the UofM course on coursera didn;t help much. I was using the youtube video about python provided by freecodecamp. However, i stopped doing that simply because I lost motivation for it. ZTM I feel is giving me a solid foundation of the basics. I know how to do almost everything from recognizing strings and integers to being able to make a set and modifty the set to do find its subset or superset. To even knowing how to update a dictionary. This is the bare basics but I am understanding and retaining the knowledge which is important to me. Is there any tips you can give someone who started practicing only a month. My plan is to create a simple server with python and Im curious to know if building that will be easy compared to having to research how to do it just like a lot fo other things. Do you recommend a video of me completing it and giving a review on it because I don't see vidos about someone completing the course and having projects done.
Hi, I'm glad you mentioned UofM coursera, I have taken those courses before in python and to be honest, those courses aren't really helpful for me during the time when i was learning (that was years ago) so I feel the same pain. If you are practicing and learning python, I think freecodecamp might not be enough. you will need more projects to practice, check out my video about udemy courses suggestions for python, that might give you some ideas. I would recommend those courses, usually doesnt charge much, no more than $20 per course, and you will learn a lot
Hey, Ive been coding for over 6 months now. I have the freeCodeCamp Web Development certificate and I'm currently working on getting the JavaScript certificate. Im 19 years old and I want to start working in web development. Where would be the best place to start for me?
Hi! so glad you decided to learn programming! its a good age to start, and i would recommend to learn javascript along with some small projects. once you get a hang of it pick a framework to learn, i would recommend react. go to check out some of the videos here to find out more!
