If you are thinking about becoming a programmer, but you are not sure if freecodingcamp is right for you. In this video, I'm doing freecodecamp review and why you should consider it. Trying freecodingcamp should be your number 1 priority even before thinking about attending a coding bootcamp. Simply because it's free, and if you don't like it you can stop it at any time.

Very good advice. 😀
Glad you liked it! I also like your RUclips channel as it gives me a lot of inspiration 😄
I start to experiment - learn front-end by myself without payment courses. 80% on freeCodeCamp! . thanks
its very good... I'm learning from a number of sources. Thing about code camp... it isn't great at teaching the overall tech/methods of being a dev.. so you need more, for sure. Soemthing like a Udemy hosted by an actual dev. But codecamp is absolutely critical.. because it focuses on getting down and dirty with the actual code ... if you havent familiarity with code.. then it doesn't matter how much you know about method/process.. you'll find it very hard / impossible. Software is probably 30% academic.. 70% practical experience... in my opinion of course... Its like learning to drive a car... you're not going to be able to learn to drive without practical exposure for many many months. Codecamp does deliver that.
Sorry for the super late reply, and you are pointing out some good things. Keep hustling!
yeah ive noticed code camp doesnt really teach anything you just follow instructions and do with 5% of teaching
Thank you for this! although I still want to go through each one, I know there was a job I wanted that required me to have basic Saas knowledge. I am going to see if I just double my time on the platform can I get to it sooner, I am almost done with responsive web development and am so excited to learn these valuable skills! it's not easy but it is by far less difficult than I thought it would be, i know it gets challenging in the real world but I feel this type of career is perfect for me as I love jobs where I have to solve problems.
Great video! I'm new to the world of web and I love this resource!
I'm pleased to hear you find this video helpful and I wish you all the best of become a web developer :)
Your videos are really helpful. Thanks for explaining it.
Glad you like them!
This was very informative. thank you
I'm happy you got the value!
Awesome video 👍👍👍
Thanks for the visit
Cool! Thanks for this.
No problem!
Hi! Thanks for advices !
I’m wondering to ask:
How long the whole course takes roughly?
I mean if you choose one of the specialties. Let’s say if you want to learn Java course, from zero to hero how long it might take roughly? (If you’ll study 4 or 8 hours per day)
its says every course takes around 300hs, so if you dedicate that much time to studying you will complete it really fast, but i think its better to go slowly to avoid big frustration and burning out
@@faared1143 you’re right but empty wallet refreshes so good, whenever I feel frustrated 😂
what @faared1143 mentioned is completely true. Also, we don't take courses with a mind of how long it will take, we learn something new that should (hopefully) bring a positive change into our lives. Of course you still want to time box it, but also don't rush it. If that makes sense.
Would you recommend back-end first or front-end? I'm interested in full stack. I'm considering a bootcamp, but they suggest backend first.
it depends and it would also be interesting for you to find out why are they suggesting to start with backend first.
Realistically, it doesn't really matter what you're going to start with as long as you got a good plat that will help you to get where you want to be.
There could also be an argument made, where starting with frontend could be easier because there are a lot of frontend jobs that use the same framework like React so getting in could be simpler. Where as backend, it has a long list of languages to choose from and that's where you will have to make a decision (what language should you learn based on today's trend/popularity/needs etc.).
Overall, you can start with backend or frontend it dosnt really matter, as long as you got a plan in place that you can follow.
I hope this helps and answers your question. I also have videos regarding frontend and backend that could help you as well.
My mom sent me the link to freecode camp and to this video and i asked what is this for and she told me something to do with your life and stop wasting it 😐
Im using this with my private tutor to be my guide and tell me were im going wrong.
This is actually a perfect way of using it! Thanks for sharing your story with us and I hope you are getting very close to your goal :)
Everyone says this is such a great platform but I'm trying to use it and it doesn't work I go through a tutorial I log out I supposedly have a saved progress but I can't access my saved progress this is within 24 hours this does not work
try creating a profile. I for the longest couldn't figure out why it was claiming i had a profile but wasn't saving progress until I tried creating a profile that i thought i already had. also I believe it tells you certain security settings can mess it up so just go through creating a profile and see what it does even if you believe you already had one.. hope that helps sir good luck!
Привіт, дякую, гризу 1 курс по JS і застряг із завданням останній про касову машину)
I just don't get this. I have watched multiple videos on freecodecamp. I have created an account. 1. I can't sign in. 2. They keep telling me they have sent me an email, though it never shows up in my email or spam folder. 3. I can't reach anybody in the organization either on line or on the phone. 4. I can't get on their forums.
WT...?
sorry to hear that. Unfortunately this is something I can't help with. I hope you were able to resolve this issue
can you copy the code that you've typed on freecodecamp text editor and paste it on your text editor like notepad++ or sublime text editor ??
Yes, that's what I've been doing
@@glorify_organizer ok thanks so much
@@SammyOmari254 You're welcome
thank you for the awesome help @ashiratoki :)
What would you recommend learning first to give yourself the best opportunities ?
It depends, what type of developer are you planning to become? But also, programming is all about solving problems, and that is something that I would recommend. Start working on projects that solve a specific problem, and problems don't have to be big or complex.
Hope this helps and you can let me know if you need more clarity on it.
@@DevPooli want to work in the information security section in freecode camp but i have no experience with coding, do i need to do the other previous sections before working in the information security section?
I Wanna Learn Programing! Starting with python! How can i master python?
to do that, you'll just simply need to practice whenever you can
would you suggest i take notes concidering all of the steps are recorded?
I would still recommend taking notes on topics that are important. Cause when we right stuff down by hand, you will memories new information much faster and know where to reference it.
Is this worth? Ugc approved?
Can get work any company?
Thanks mate. Just started the HTML5/CSS from freecodecamp. I can add to your comments, that freecodecamp makes coding like a game, basically it gameifys it. SLAVA UKRAINE!
that's a very good point.

do you think that a freeCodeCamp curriculum cover enough knowledge to someone get a job? i think the market wants more than that.
it's a great starting point to get into programing. To see if this is something that could be of interest before spending more time, effort, and finances. They give a lot of useful information but it will be up to a student to expend on that knowledge.
When it comes to the market, yea, you do want to show your skills with some useful website features that a lot of companies/people can relate to. To give you an example, the one thing that a lot of websites have is this feature called pagination. It is powerful, and it will make your resume standout a lot more because you are bringing an amazing value in comparison to a simple website. I have a video on 4 amazing projects that you could build that should help you to standout. Let me know if this video was helpful to you ruclips.net/video/MzQcjmublBw/видео.html
your skill in this market are much more important than your curriculum
If i want to just learn information security, would i need to go through the other courses first?
freecodecamp is just a great starting point. There is a lot more to learn so I would recommend looking at different job posts and see what they are asking for and start your research from there.
@@DevPool nice to see your return! Im also wondering what your opinions are on ai taking over the chances for juniors and entry level positions or even more senior roles in the future, do you think its possible to significantly impact the amount of job listings for juniors? Its been really putting me off from learning coding and learning computer science
Hello
I am from civil engineering department but i have an intrest towards coding so i started doing it from Free code camp to learn and to get a certificate.Am i going right? Does the certificate will have a value when i will sit for interviews.....
Please reply
When making a career shift, some companies would want to see a certificate on your resume and some just don't care (as long as you did good on the interview and you know what you are doing), so it really depends. If let's say you don't have much on the resume and you want to look competitive, then having a certificate won't hurt to have it. I hope this helps.
Get hired after freecodecamp ?
freecodecamp might not be enough by it self, but its a good place to start
@@DevPool then what is best ...pls advice sir
How about w3schools?
w3schools certificate or in general?
Both
i used to like fcc when it was free. yes you would get a pop every now and then to donate to the cause which was fair enough. but now it has turned into another pay and play platform. now you get the pop up every couple of tasks with an intentional longgggggggg delay asking for a donation and its not just a simple tip, but a recurring donation "FEE" monthly. So FCC should take the "its free" off the landing page to "you pay or we will make you life harder on our platform".
