A maze of conflicting emotions interwoven gracefully like a poetic fabric ! Boris has managed to get into the psych of Schumann with zest and competence . Bravo

Как трудно проникнуть во внутренний мир Шумана... Он всегда загадочный, таинственный!!! Игра Березовского восхитительна, сколько переходов из образа в образ из одного дущевного состояния в другое.. Никаких штампов... ❤❤❤

The breadth of this exceptionally hard working pianist's repertoire never ceases to amaze me. Wish I could say the same thing about the interpretations

I've rarely seen someone play something as beautiful as die Davidsbündlertänze with so little passion.

Wonderful performance of these emotion-filled pieces! Thank you so much for posting. Would there be a chance that you'd post the time of each "Taenze"?

unlike Bach Mozart Beethoven Schubert and Brahms Schumann didn't come from a musical family..he eventually had a few good teachers but was also very much self taught.

Recording absolutely ruined by the worst bout of coughing I have ever heard. So discourteous!

I can't agree that the record is completely ruined. Such a wonderful game cannot be spoiled! I listen to it over and over again. Although, of course, an unfortunate misunderstanding prevented the artist, but perhaps the finale of the play became more exciting.

seems oversized which isn't important. I wish he would display more emotion and feelings

The first verslon I ever heard of this wonderful Schumann work was by Walter Gieseking and for me it is still unsurpassed. Andras Schiff comes closest.

@@marilynbeattie4403 I have been steering of Schiff lately but after discovering his Schumann recordings he pulls me back in:) especially considering there is a live album on spotify of him playing op 14 20 21 and 23.4 as encore which are my absolute favourite of schumanns catalogue. He really understands what to be done with schumanns music

Salutations d'Allemagne.

An inattentive truck driver....loud, indifferent,. The piece, as is much of Schumann’s piano music, is rife with vertical hemiolas. He missed everyone. Totally uninvolved.
