Is this a JF011E REOF10A? I like that tool you made up! Have a 2012 Nissan Altima. Carvruns great till about 60kmph or 45mph, then it doesnt want to upsift (variate) so at that speed its around 3K rpm. If you push harder it sets the eng light around 4K rpm. P1778 a stepper motor code. Pulled the pan and it looks alright in there. Dropped valve body had a peek inside and belts in great shape. Cleaned up the valve body, noticed the ratio control valve was sticking. Free'd it up, reinstalled everything, new fluid and both filters. Car still drives the same... Whats your guess on it? New trans or new valve body?
The car manufacturing companies insist on keep the CVT transmission because it's cheaper to manufacture and will make more profit for them, even though the CVT less reliable than direct shift AT. Thanks.
Great job. Going to replace a belt in mine soon.
What does yours do to make you think it needs replaced?
Can replacing the belt fix slippage?
hi, only replacing belt...unlikely to fix. cheers

hi, sometimes a flush of solenoid isn`t enough. you need to properly bench test it. cheers
How did you put the new belt in? Same procedure in reverse, then fitting the whole Assembly to the box?
hi, yes put belt in as shown but in reverse. cheers
@@YepThatsIt I have got it all back in, drive is fine but I have lost reverse gear, any ideas to why that has happened? Thank you
