Hi Alex, 1: I saw you positioned the Pivot to the centre of the wall and then moved the wall to the Origin (at about 7 minutes in). Can you place the pivot at the Origin without moving the object and have it placed correctly when imported to Unreal. 2: I am thinking of dropping Vray finally and moving over to Unreal as a renderer. Can I do conversions of my old Vray Materials after my Vray License runs out? (soon). (I might come back to Vray later if the quality of my work takes a dive) Thanks again
Hi yes this is old tutorial. Now you have DataSmith file, that you export from 3Ds Max (do changes and re export) then you can press “re import” in UE4..the objects will fall into the same exact place. 2. When your licences run out you can still access the material but it preview will be in black. So you can change the maps (save, export as FBX, then update in UE4) but you won’t be able to see the results or render it...
Is there a way to integrate in this scene a video footage with green screened actor for example and using it with shadows and animate the camera as well? I'm wonder why no one use Unreal Engine for Virtual Set in music videos, I couldn't find any one who use it ;) so if you can make some tutorials it will be really cool!
You can use any other moding software. Most models come from CAD drawins. Also most furniture made in vray, so basically its because your library based 3dsmax. The most used program for arch viz and games...make sense?
ooh plz plz do a vid - if u haven't already - on v-ray for SU. Not an intuitive interface.
Have no idea what’s SU

do you have any tutorial for architectural interior and exterior whit 3DsMax to UNREAL ENGINE 4 ?
What's the ambient occlusion, roughness and albedo (name) in the textures maps of the 3dmsax???
when you say "unreal accepts only standard material" does it mean it won't accept multi-sub object either?
multi sub object goes
What material did you use? V ray material or basic materials from 3ds max?
watch the tutorial he converted them from vray materials to standard or as you call them basic materials.
Thanks for your tutorial!
After running the material script, all materials in my scene have the same name. :(
do u know how to fix the problem "overlapping uv" ?? it was always my problem when im exporting objects on sketchup to UR
Почему вы не пользуетесь Slate Material Editor в максе?
This will be very useful for my thesis soon! Subbing for more!
Do u have lesson to learn Unreal ? I'm looking for it
yes opening next week 1 month of training
why is it necesary to first do the model in 3dmax and then export it to unreal engine?

when i import my mesh from unreal 4.19 the texture is showing this message: (Invalid lightmap settings)
Great. I'll try it. Tnx a lot! (my subscribe for you)
